I am actually shattered - is it too early to go to bed??
Not for me it isn't! I'm off in a minuteIn my defence, I do get up at 5am though!
On the messy front, washing up is not completely done, but haven't messed up downstairs yet :jI believe in the freedom of spinach and the right to arm bears.

Feeling a BIT better - living room looks less as if a trash bomb filled with tiny bits of lego, hamas beads and mini figures had exploded in it.0

I just mustered up all of my energy to clean the kichen, it took over an hour *OMG* and I still have to brush/mop and it's only 'decent', eurgh I really can't catch up with myself at the moment.
Done a quick tidy in the living room, needs a hoover.
I should do the bathroom a toilet before I have to pick the kids up but will i?

To be fair I have got 20 things listed on ebay at the moment and a big pile to go to the clothing bank and these are making it look messy.
Helen, glad you got it sorted out with your daughter and school. I am having a dilemma at the moment with secondary school for DS2. We are right on the catchment boundary for two schools. Our eldest went to one secondary school two years ago. We have now found out that everyone in the current year 6 at DS2s primary is going to the other school. If my youngest wasnt bothered about it it wouldnt be so bad but he is dreading not knowing anyone in year 7 when he goes up.
Academically there is no difference between the two schools. Its just the social side and I think DS2 is going to struggle. DS1 isnt attending school anyway because of his health and we dont know if and when he will ever go back. At the moment I am leaning towards sending DS2 to the same school as his friends. But is it a mad idea to possibly end up having my two kids at different schools? If anyone has managed to follow all this I would love your thoughts. OH and I are going round in circles with it.
On a completely different subject my washing doesnt seem to be drying outdoors today, although its dry and breezy. Very strange. I am off to try and mop the kitchen floor while everyone is out of the way.
Come on now ladies, gentle shove for anyone needing it, there is still time to do one more thing today. Give yourself 30 minutes and see what you can do. Not that I have anything to preach about because I have plenty of CBA moments!YORKSHIRELASS wrote: »Thanks Emm and Save Dosh. I am maybe being a bit selfish because DS1 has had such awful problems at school and I dont think I could cope with DS2 not being happy. I have also seen through DS1 how hard it can be to make friends at school, especially if you dont have the right sort of personality, or if like my eldest you are a bit different. I know how horrible kids can be to each other too.
My youngest has already had a tough time in life, having a brother who is so poorly and I just want to get this right for him. I did think about having a chat with the head teacher at our primary school as she knows my son quite well and knows the set up at both schools.
Personally I would let your son go to the school with his friends. If it were a primary school then I would say stick to the same school, but secondary school is a whole different thing. Its a difficult age for kids anyway, and having familiar friendly faces around is important.
I think speaking to his teacher is probably the best idea and go from there
On the messy front... House is worse, not better and car is shocking

I am SO CROSS!!! Just spent ages typing a post, and it`s not here because the dratted PC must have logged me out!
Shall attempt to re-cap.
MessyMare - good luck with the interview - I think I read you said it was Thurs or Fri. DO let us know how it goes, will be thinking of you.0 -
FA#1 & FA#2 - I`m sure you are both dear Messies, can I suggest you BOTH keep the name but sign off as I`ve addressed you here?0

Not me to be brief, but drat this dratted PC and drat my dratted DS who`s not here now - typical! Where`s tech support when you need `em?
I`ve dropped OH at work, come home, made a fire, had a call returned from my log-man (coming tomorrow around 10am - that means 9.30 because he`s UBER-punctual). I know that`s hardly `first thing` but it feels that way when it`s on my day off! I shall kip downstairs on the very comfy sofa so it`s easier to get up without disturbing Sleeper after nightshift...sofa is now clear, as I`ve de-gibbled it onto OH`s chair as he`s not using it this evening.0 -
This evening I had earache and hip-ache (feels sciatic, been wearing different shoes all day,as normal `busy day off` shoes missing somewhere in messy bedroom. Plus much bending and squatting to de-gibble stuff into cupboards in kitchen). Since returning from nightshift run have had a couple of glasses of wine whilst typing ~That Post~ which disappeared into the ionosphere...earache has gone, hip still hurty. I shall persevere a little, another glass & keep moving - I`m soaking a rather nasty roasting tin - must have been forgotten a fortnight, as it was definitely lamb fat in there. That`s my last task for today, apart from feeding my face & bedding down on the sofa.0
