I think your OH might need to come and give my OH lessons. Although my OH is much better than a couple of years ago I have to admit.

House really shockingly messy this morning so I have migrated to here from the Declutter thread. I don't deserve to be on there. :(

Murder was nearly committed yesterday. OH hadn't done the laundry because "he didn't know how to sort girl clothes". Like there is something magical about separating into light and dark! At least he'd washed up or there really would have been trouble.

But tonight all is forgiven. He hung out the wash load I put in before I went to work and did a second wash. He did all the washing up and cleaned the kitchen sink. He tidied and hoovered the lounge. Apparently he's done the bedroom too but I haven't been in there! Hallway is much tidier but there's no heating out there so I pass through at high speed and don't even see the mess :D

Sitting here catching up on posts isn't persuading him to make a start on dinner though so I suppose I should go and do that. You can bet I never get chance to cook as soon as the new kitchen is finished though ;)

  • Oh my!

I can identify with hamsters using THEIR bed as a loo and cats using MY bed as a loo. (I too have to keep bedroom door shut and have 4x 4 tog duvets that can fit into washing machine when accidents occur).

I no longer have a hamster. He never did anything when I was awake so when he died I didn't want to get another. I do have 5 cats who like to sleep on the bed and have 6 guinea pigs who somehow manage to bring their hay from the shed into my lounge too! I can't see the original post about these now, but thought I'd say: you're not alone!

Cats - Hehe - I've just had to hide Homer the Hammy as the dog was getting out of hand and wouldn't settle down - he normally sleeps the day away!! Dog spent 5 mins going nutty looking for Homer and has now fallen asleep!!

We have had many small animals over the year and the cats always viewed them as lunch to be! Now we have guinea pigs and rabbits and the cats keep well away from them.

Just dropped in to grab some lunch and fill the dishwasher before heading to a giant play place with my DD :D

    Oh dear!

I can well picture the dog!!

I have a painful memory of a cat dropping one of the gerbils at my feet several years ago. It was dead. Somehow the cat had got the cage open. the other gerbil was sitting on the top looking part bemused and part excited. I quickly put her back in and then used some clips to seal the doors more securely....

A different cat I now have (a mahoosive Bristish short hair) is the only one who will do anything she can to get at the guinea pigs. I think she sees them as a living toy but wouldn't ever trust her with them! My persian likes to lick them and rub against them. The other aren't really interested.

Afternoon:)I think I may have made a discovery re health problems today.Yesterday morning I felt fine and ready to tackle mess, then had some toast and all of a sudden I felt so tired. This morning I have had a mad clean and tidy round and managed a lot of overdue chores.I stopped off for lunch and had a sandwich, and besides having to make a dash for the loo( sorry)I am now feeling blinkin awful again.I am now thinking there could be a link to my depression and wheat.

So glad my dogs arent like that.....the worse they do is the youngest one will try to stick her nose up its bum! or give it a sloppy lick!

Both of them run a mile if the hamster or rabbit dares to take a step towards them!! :rotfl:

I never leave them unsupervised though - just for my own peace of mind.
