Ah well, I'm definitely in the right place as my plans to declutter the desk got utterly derailed! Firstly I set off to the tip to deposit the latest offerings (and not bring too much back, saleable or not...) BUT it's a very small & busy tip and one of the skip lorries had broken down in there. So I spent half an hour queueing to no avail & got home just in time to run up to the shop. After closing time, the new timer for the toaster had arrived, but without a wiring diagram. So I've spent the evening hunting up a link to the relevant PDF, which took some doing, then dismantling the toaster, rewiring it (the timer was a different model) & putting it all back together again. We do at least have a working toaster now, but we still also have a mega-cluttered desk, a Christmas tree indoors (I have asked... and asked...) a conservatory full of loose decorations as someone's taken it into their head to do a 5,000 piece jigsaw on top of the decoration boxes, and they've done about 4,980 pieces so I really daren't try to move it...

As for carpet - I gave up & got rid of it years ago. Unhygenic stuff, just causes a whole lot of work. We have laminate & original floor tiles (a muddy yellow, nothing interesting!) downstairs, & I'll get round to upstairs sooner or later...

Whipping up a batch of blueberry muffins, the only thing get whipped here is my OH for leaving the bedroom door open, he knows Treacle has a tendency to pee on the bed if she can get in.

My duvet cover is now in the wash again on a 90 wash, and the duvet is in the bin, no way on earth am I paying the dry cleaner again to do it, it cost me £17.00 last time and it still had a yellow stain on it when I got it home, I can get a cheap double duvet for that, it looks like we are in single sleeping bags until payday....that'll teach him:D

Rummer, you should be on the OS daily thread with all that cleaning and whipping.:rotfl:

Cats, your lounge floor is very clear, where's the clutter? Did you stuff it into a cupboard like I do when I have visitors, I've even been known to shove the contents of the coffee table into the tumble dryer in a blind panic when someone has knocked at the door.

Good night to all the Messies.
