There is no space in my bin and they are not collected until next Wed  I have no idea how all this waste is generated as we have taken the xmas packaging etc to the dump and we recycle everything we can too.

I even get a veg box every week and cook from scratch so I am not generating food waste to any great degree! Aaaaarrrrggghhh I am just really irritated

On my second load of laundry and I have hoovered the living room. Encouraged DD to get her room smartened up which she took quite well, phew!

I will be posting prolifically today to keep me motivated (and to give me an excuse to sit down ;))

Feel better Fru, I know what you mean about not being ill but still not feeling right. I suspect the Auntie V for me is such a low dose I've probably actually got a hell of a placebo affect rocking my mind right now.

The dog is really unsettled at the moment, bless him, the wind is getting to him and he desperately wants to go upstairs and lay on our bed, but I'm not strong enough to carry him up :(

Our greatest weakness lies in giving up; always try just one more time

hi guys! thanks Fru, Helen, I'm fine - just still so tired! Guess the noisy wind at night isn't helping but it's much better today, the sun is out which feels very strange!!

Been hopelessly unproductive, finally managed to do the dishes last night, but the xmas tree still isn't down! That's the one thing on the to do list today. I've decided to count up what I do in a week rather than a day, it'll make me feel better:D

Off out shortly to take my microwave back to Arg*s, only had it 6 weeks and it's sparking and going mental:(

Think I heard the recycling bins being emptied earlier so at least I can get rid of the bottles and cans from Saturday, hoping the other bins have been emptied too!

No real news about DS's dad, he went to visit him last night and he didn't seem well at all. Seems like his dad has got it into his head that he won't get out of hospital this time, though we've heard nothing so far to suggest that might be the case:(

Massive hugs to all who are feeling ill/down xxxx

MM whether it is the tablets or your mind helping you through at least the dreaded drop by is over. Have you made any firm plans for your future yet?

Cat great to see you back you are always missed

Helen love that you are in the world of disco naps! My seeds arrived yesterday from Alan Romans and I thought of you :)

Fru you always make me smile and often roar with laughter, I think you should start a blog!

Kitty we had to use anti-mold paint under the main paint in various areas of our home, wonderful stuff.

Kazire go to your local dump, just try not to bring more things home with you (ok maybe that is just me :rotfl:)

Well I was doing well and then sat down to check what my friends on here were up to then I checked my blog and then my crochet called my name so I have ground to a bit of a halt. Now watching Criminal Minds which is fatal :o

Ok mental telling off, I will go back to my ad break tidying strategy and get the kitchen sorted :D

Thanks Rummer :) - where can I find your blog? :)

Aaargh 2 sets of tree lights, hopelessly tangled - sorely tempted to bin the lot and buy new ones for next year:mad:
  • Just stumbled across this thread. My house goes through phases. Usually messy with the occasional declutter. Generally, by the time I've decluttered a room another room has got messy again.

A piece of advice I found in a magzine lately sounded good, and might help some of you. I've yet to train myself to do it, but feel good when I remember to do it. Even tidying up one thing is a start.
Never leave a room empty handed.

i need to get a repair man out. But must tidy downstairs first.

Will never forget the time the gas man came. It was all tidy downstairs but he had to climb over piles of laundry etc to get the radiator in my bedroom and I was mortified that he saw it!

Nor have I. But I've got the excuse I've been sent home from work sick so resting (while I look at the stuff that needs tidying/sorting around me)!
