:j I'm back, did anyone notice I had gone?

We managed to get away for a night but the drive there was  there were over turned lorries everywhere and I frequently had to change lanes to avoid fallen trees! Anyway it was a lovely break and I feel refreshed again :D.

I did clear the kitchen floor and I am now in the process of washing the things from the cupboard (well the dishwasher is :rotfl:) As often as I have said this before, it will be lovely when it's done :rotfl:

Emm - you made me laugh
MM - now to get on with your plans for the future :]
Kitty - you did lots, remember anything you do is an improvement on what you didn't do.
Rummer - glad you managed to get your break and that you enjoyed it

I can't do photos - no idea how to load them on here and to be honest I don't want to!!

No chance of being a domestic goddess - you should see the state of the kitchen!!! And it only takes 5 mins of the kiddies being home and its all wrecked again.

Just back from school run - went to M&S to pick up an order, popped into MrT and got some good reduced bits and then went to McD for kids tea as they were starving lol.

Off to cook my tea now - DH is on a late shift so no need to cook for him [not that I do anyway - he's the cook]

  • Just a line to MessyMare. There was an item on Breakfast TV saying that even neurosurgeons are admitting that meditation has loads of benefits. Start with 5-10 mins a day- It's quite hard at first. The secret is to find somewhere quiet and tell others you are not to be disturbed (Yes, really!). They say it has effects on not only our moods , but helps us to cope at work better. I think I'll add this to my list of 'to do's this year!:)

Thank CL, I have seen some classes in the area but I think I'll just have to find some youtube vids to help :) I have done guided meditation before and found it immensely relaxing. I'm oddly excited about getting the house in order!

Rum - of course we missed you :)

Hi loudmouth-and other newbies! Welcome to the Messies!

We don't really kick bum around here. There's nobody without sin to cast the first stone, for a start :D

However, and speaking as a depressive, though your experience may not be the same as mine, I come here to celebrate what I have done, and share a giggle about what I haven't. It's a huge help to me to come somewhere where the standards are...not lower, but different. Pull up a chair and join in x

Laurel, you just got me thinking, about our standards. I think our standards are...

Health and emotions before a perfect show home
Celebrate the steps, because each step gets us closer to where we want to be
    Acceptance, for everyone :)
Laughs are more fun than ironing
    And most of all...

    Don't write in the dust!
