No firm plans for me :( I've yet to find out if I can even get JSA, but there's some promising looking jobs that I'm in the process of applying for. Still lacking in energy, and feel like I need a coherent plan for each day otherwise it just tails off into nothingness. May have to toddle off to print a household manual of sorts

Hello, just found this thread - love it! We have an exceptionally small 2-bed bungalow, moved from a fairly large 3-bed house 6 years ago, and we had to do a major de-clutter then, or we'd never have got through the door here. Since then, I do try to have a de-clutter every couple of weeks, or we keep falling over things, or it becomes a case of opening a cupboard door, and shutting it quickly, before half the contents leaves its hiding place. ;)

Today, we've taken down all the Christmas decs but, since they're kept in the loft, I have to wait until Mr B comes home to put everything back. My next job is to sort out all the craft mags I've amassed, so that I can (1) offer those I don't want on Freegle (2) make more space for my ever increasing stash of craft materials. :)

My plan is (with Mr B's agreement) to try and find an oven-cleaning company, to get rid of the grime that's accumulated since before we moved here. That should help get spring cleaning off to an early start!

    Welcome bearcub!

I have just made Cinderella look inadequate :D I got off the couch bounded upstairs washed the bathroom suite down and then got on my hands and knees to scrub the floor with a stiff brush. Now it is gleaming and my OH is VERY impressed (as am I ;))

Now I am heading to the kitchen, nothing will stop me now!

Been very busy for the past two days.

Totally decluttered lounge and cleaned everything.
Totally decluttered Kitchen and cleaned everything including oven, units etc.
Totally decluttered DS room, Cleaned it and even hoovered the mattress:eek:
Totally decluttered DD room, cleaned it and again hoovered the mattress:eek:
Gutted Bathroom and Ensuite, both done.

    Left to do:

My Bedroom (Done half, but sooo much carp, gave up for the day)
    Office

I have endless bags for charity, bags for the rubbish tip and 6 bin liners of stuff for EBay.

My husband even sorted the garage and its spotless:eek:

I'm going to have a wee whisky in a little while , OH thinks I'm sickening for something, he has never seen the likes of it, I have so many bags of stuff for the charity, I phoned them and they said they will bring a van tomorrow to collect it:T

Just got to remake all the beds before I make dinner (it will be something ready made, just don't tell the OS ladies!).

I will read the thread later, hugs to those in need.

You both put me to shame. Since we have a small house, plus an elderly senile cat who's terrified of the hoover, vacuumin gonly happnes once a week, if that. Given that we have two guinea pigs, and their hay seems forever to migrate into our lounge (from garden via conservatory), and we keep treading wood shavings from the horses's stables in through the front door (they're 10-15 minuite drive away!), it could be cleaner. However, cleanliness is less of an issue than clutter tbh.

:oI had a late start but have moved stuff from downstairs to upstair; moved stuff from upstairs to downstairs... found a box to put all Xmas wrapping paper and tags etc...now on bed, with Xmas pressies for next Xmas. Can't get to bed now!

Was standing underneath the entrance to loft and gale blowing through the gap so stuffed some bubble wrap and instant problem solved...I've been here almost 2 years, so a bit slow in dealing with. :o

Have done a load of shredding, poor shredder keeps packing up.

Floor space in my chocolate shoebox cottage is still only shuffle sideways, step over, trip to the front door clear. :D

    3 things on ebay.

Hi everyone, long-time lurker and messy (I did post a couple of times last year) coming out of the closet.

I really need to make an effort to sort out the house out this year, I'm not currently working so I've no excuse (well, except for I spend too long on here). So far this week I've cleaned the bathroom, sorted out two drawers in the bedroom (and filled a bag for the charity shop), made several resolutions :rotfl: and I'm about to register for the "get rid of 100 items in January" challenge on the declutter-er thread.

    Will pop in again soon

    Hi Everyone

    Mid week report as promised.

I drew up a household planner - every job I could think of and allocated tasks to me , OH and DS and it is working so far.:j

I am sat here on the laptop with a glass of Baileys, OH is hoovering upstairs, DS is putting washing away.

Dinner is done, DW loaded and sides swished and wiped ready for the morning.

WM is on and will do the ironing later when the boys are out.

OH cooked on Tuesday, DS on Wednesday - only simple things but I am sure Jamie, Heston and co had to start somewhere :rotfl:

Tomorrow is simple dinner from the freezer, HM fish and chips with peas and sweetcorn and then we are having a DVD night - watching all the old ones before selling to Music Magpie.

And just because I feel angelic I have done a meal plan which takes us to 5th February :T

Not sure how long all this will last but it feels fantastic at the moment.

Take care all and best wishes.

MM whether it is the tablets or your mind helping you through at least the dreaded drop by is over. Have you made any firm plans for your future yet?

Cat great to see you back you are always missed

Helen love that you are in the world of disco naps! My seeds arrived yesterday from Alan Romans and I thought of you :)

Fru you always make me smile and often roar with laughter, I think you should start a blog!

Kitty we had to use anti-mold paint under the main paint in various areas of our home, wonderful stuff.

Kazire go to your local dump, just try not to bring more things home with you (ok maybe that is just me :rotfl:)

Well I was doing well and then sat down to check what my friends on here were up to then I checked my blog and then my crochet called my name so I have ground to a bit of a halt. Now watching Criminal Minds which is fatal :o

Ok mental telling off, I will go back to my ad break tidying strategy and get the kitchen sorted :D

Why thank you :) *Fru takes a bow* :D

I do love writing but am busy with other projects so a blog would be too time consuming for me tbh... I love reading others' blogs tho - I see you have one... Can you PM me the linky pretty please :A

Another one with "wrong thread syndrome" :rotfl: Must be catching... Have you been near Helen Jelly recently? She seems to have caught some strange de-cluttering/cleaning disorder.

(Just kidding of course... Jealous, thats all :p:D)

:DHad a sleepy snoozy sort of a day today... Then took DDs to meet friend and her DD... Ate an embarrassing quantity of food (carvery, its the law there) and so did kids... Got home and they declared they are hungry  I have heard people mention kids with hollow legs... My DDs seem to have developed this problem! Going to make some healthy snacks (one day) to fill them up with as they are bored of cereal bars and fruit. Problem is, that means making mess in the shoebox kitchen... Even making a cup of tea and a sandwich in there makes it look like a clutterbomb has gone off

Have stuck a load in the WM as just realised I have work tomorrow and no clean clothes :rotfl:

    Love to all Messies :A
