Ok. I had a shower, and got dressed. Does that count? Did wash up, decobwebbed, and took the dog on something approaching a walk x

Errrrrrrrrrrrrrrr, Helen...... Wrong thread perhaps?
Just kidding - you put me to shame!YORKSHIRELASS wrote: »I need help. I have picked up all the gubbins off the bedroom floor and dumped it on the bed. Then I looked at it for a while. Then I came out, closed the door and came downstairs, made a cuppa and put the computer on.
I kind of have this hope that I will go back upstairs and it will all have magically disappeared. I really need to get one room at least looking half decent and our bedroom is the worst.
Helen you have put me to shame. I need a kick up the bum I think.
I think Helen forgot where she was posting
I do what you do, all the time! My most procrastinised (great new word!) job is the larder - It is large and has many shelves and USED to be really organised - baking/sweets etc at the top, sweet tins/fruit/custard/jelly etc type things on next shelf, along with some dishes. Savoury tins on next one down etc etc... Now, its Avalanche City  I have no idea what is in there - can't find anything etc but in my head I can see how it used to be.
So......... I sit reading the boards and something motivates me to go and tackle the larder... Get up, walk to the kitchen, open the larder door and *look at it for a while*:o:o Feel immediately defeated. Then I close the door and come straight back here.
I love having a proper old fashioned larder and I love it when its all organised but its such a mammoth task
Well, the kind plumber came back today (after me missing him on sat am as I slept thru 4 alarms having been up late tidying:D) and fixed my heating - surprisingly I haven't needed it on the last few days but do have the open fire for living room - but its been soooooooo mild! I'm glad its done tho as the whole country has been given warnings about gales and driving rain tomorrow +. Will be glad of heating then I guess! I didn't apologise for the mess (he has been here before so it seemed pointless to repeat myself
) and altho I hope not to need him again anytime soon, I hope that the next time I do need him to come out, the house will be transformed!!! You never know!
Not done much today... Been reading my new book instead
I did do several loads of Mt Washmore last night tho, all of which is *obviously* piled up on the sofaPlus the kitchen is looking ok. I am managing to keep on top of that atm.
Tomorrow will see me gathering school uniforms from various areas of the house and washing those in prep for wednesday. I will also find some clothes from the floordrobe and wash and prep them. I have forgotten where to find the Frump to Fab thread but intend to try to [STRIKE]get back to[/STRIKE] become the Yummy Mummy (that someone *once* called me) rather than the Slummy Mummy that 2011 transformed me into.
Can't wait for Friday and get back to SW.
I will also cook something scrummy AND clear the kitchen afterwards :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:Putting these winter preps here so I don't forget!

Helloooo Messies! I'm just about back in the land of the living! First of all, MM so sorry about your job (((hugs))).
Welll the party was good I think:D, continued till about 11am, went for a quick disco nap, then got up and a few of us went to Maccy Ds for hangover cures! Got rid of the last straggler at about 5pm, ordered pizza and went to bed! Got up later to watch the darts, then made an optimistic list for today, which isn't going well as I didn't get up till nearly 5!! Discovered a bowl under my bed with a small amount of vomit in it, not mine (hope you're not eating dinner, folks). Apparently there are 4 or 5 possible culprits lol.
Went to make dinner tonight and discovered that someone had squashed my packet of gnocchi that was in the fridge. Cleared up all the bottles and glasses, and assorted rubbish, so most of the place is looking fairly tidy again. Discovered a tumbler in the bath (??). Still feel really tired so I think I'm going to call it a night on the tidying/cleaning front and do the dishes tomorrow!:o0 -
Blimy Helen you have been busy :rotfl:
FrugalI hate that when you have just spent ages typing and it all goes
Ive done that so many times when listing on Ebay
I have done hardly anything today, just don't know where time has gone
I did photograph all the stuff I need to list and made a pizza for tea but thats it
I finaly got my new calendar out and transfered all the Bday's to it but still have to sort the school stuff.
I can't wait till Wed a whole day to myself :j no DS, no OH and hopefully no DD :rotfl: but then again I will have pup and my little dog.
Hope you all have a nice relaxing evening before we are all back to rushing againGetting myself sorted 1 day/1thing at a timeand Love sewing

Hey Cat! I was wondering where you had vanished to
Well I made it into the kitchen and between us my hubby and I cleared out the top cupboards and I oganised the food cupboards, clearing them out and scrubbing down the shelves.
Just stopped for dinner and then I am going to clean the surfaces and tackle the bottom cupboards  I am sure it will all be worth it
Helen, what treats did you get from the garden centre??Taking responsibility one penny at a time!0 -
oops - forgot to say Happy New Year to everyone!!!:o And a big welcome to all the newbies!0

You know when, with all good intentions, you start tackling a trouble spot, and end up making more of a mess than when you started?
I'm at that stage.
And to add to it, my DH has just moved one tv to another spot in the house, and opened a real can of worms! I ended up abandoning the first job and found myself another. Now I've got two unfinished jobs on the go. How the hell did that happen? :rotfl:
Only two???:rotfl:import this0
