O ladies what have I done? I have pulled all the contents of the bottom cupboards out and put them onto the worktops to decide what is staying and what is going and now I can't be bothered doing any more :rotfl:

Oh this thread really does literally make me LOL several times a day! Thats the sort of thing I do, along with going and taking a good long look at a mess before deciding it needs more planning :D

Well I have made an impression on you all today :rotfl:

The stuff in the kitchen is still there, on the counter and all over the floor and instead of sorting it out I made my new blog instead! Thank you for all giving me the push to go and do it.

Not sure Helen about chitting prevention but our potatoes are on their way :D along with numerous other goodies. Well worth keeping an eye out on the freebies boards etc over spring and summer as I got loads of seeds free last year.

Anyway I had better go and clear the floor :rotfl:

oh well - had a list of 7 things to do today and managed 2 - clear party mess, and hoover. Didn't manage - dishes, bit of filing/shredding, filling in diary, mopping floors, and installing new printer and external HD but never mind - there's ALWAYS tomorrow....or the next day...or the next.....:D

Hugs all, and goodnight! :) xx
  • Helloooo lovelies!

Happy new year to you all and here's to an organised and clean 2012, lol :D

Well I was soooo busy again today! My mum came over to help me bless her heart and we took the Christmas tree down, boxed it all up neatly and now it's on top of the wardrobe. We then sorted the two dreaded storage cupboards out (which are BIG) and threw tonnes out and now they look all neatly organised and I managed to make room for my big laundry basket for ironing and all of the baby's toys which are in neat storage boxes! Thennnnn, we cleared out the wardrobes, threw a tonne of clothes into charity/car boot bags and made even more room for clothes, shoes and bits and bobs. When mum went home and the baby was asleep and OH was home, I did two wash loads and changed the bed sheets and cooked a hot pot - I am pooped and in bed watching TV now the baby is asleep. Phew!

Everything is very clear, neat and organised now but keeping it this way is going to be tough! I will try try try though! I'm sure I'll be having another spring clean in 2 weeks of those bloody storage cupboards that seem to untidy themselves when I close the door :rotfl

  • That is brilliant Tyler's Mum!

wow. Can I borrow your mum?

    Clear neat and organised.........................................

well to be fair my room is pretty good. need to sort out my book shelves (they need varnishing) but I am sitting at my desk with my pile of note books sorted and positve thinking card thingy (gives me something to hurl across the room in moments of frustration). I can finally walk up to the window and not have to lean over bags and boxes to open it or see out of it.

The shed and the conservatory are my main problems, swiftly followed by the bathroom and the rest of the house.

Hey ho........it will happen right? ;)

    have a good week Messies

Iv took all the decs down and hoovered the front room. Cleaned the bird cage and thats the total sum of things Iv done. Rummer I know that feeling of starting something and not having the motivation to finish. Best to do a little at a time.
Im blowing hot and cold about getting a dog. Im now going to put it off for a while but I feel guilty when there are so many unwanted animals.
Iv not read the posts in full yet but I hope everyone is okay.

:o Because there isn't room for it in the sitting room! Sad but true. The rake came back to mine in the same jaunt that took me to the parents' place for Crimble - it'd been in their workshop for a repair- and I had such a fast turnaround, I couldn't even get it into the bike shed. I had to put it in the bedroom so I could get at my pooter, and now I can't get at my chest-of-drawers.:o There are also 2 paper tattie sacks in the living room from the same trip.

OK, promise to self; rake and sacks will go to the bike shed before w*rk as this looks plain peculiar even by my admittedly-low standards. SuperGran came around at about 5pm yesterday and looked a touch bemused, as well she might.

I unpacked in a hurry yesterday and various bits of stuff are piled on the sofa and the table, not to mention the floor. Please don't mention the floor.:rotfl:

A woman of sense would have unpacked carefully and put everything away but I was never one of those so I put another coat of paint on the bathroom and shredded several years' worth of futility bills, being as the details of the DD payments are on my bank-statements anyway. Have kept a few most-recent ones for proofs of address etc. Have also left the file box and the shredder in the middle of the floor to remind me to do some more later.

Blasted flat got all dusty whilst I was away for Crimble, that seems like it cheated somehow, and snuck dust onto the premises. I thought dust was mainly shed skin-cells, so who the heck has been producing all this stuff, that's what I want to know?

Howsomever, I did do the dishes and shine the sink before bedtime even tho I have a cold and am thus entitled to bunk-off, y'know.

Today I will have to take my library books back, go to w*rk, come home and go to the Magic Greengrocer to restock on fruit and veg.

Have a good day, fellow Messies, my home is a pit so I'm starting 2012 as I'll probably be carrying on. But my soul is pure and my intentions are good, it's just the practicalities I have problems with!:p

    :( Gutted :(

Weather here is dreadful and we were meant to be taking DD away for the night. Not going now as the local area is trashed due to the weather and the road to where we were going in closed

Anyway I battled on with the cupboards last night and you would all be so proud of me :). Cleared out all the clutter and organised them into sections so I can actually get to the things I use often instead of doing the undignified bottom in the air head in cupboard maneuver :rotfl:. Still got quite a way to go though!

    Keep safe today messies :)
