Flipping heck GreyQueen that is some list!

    Today I have.

    1. Rang the GP as the nuroviris is taking it's time to work through me - five days on and I still have it although to a lesser degree!
    2. Stripped our bed, washed and remade.
    3. Stripped the dogs beds, washed and remade.
    4. Cleaned and vacuum all the floors in the house including a hands and knees washing floor approach to the hard floors.
    5. Bleach solutioned all the handles and the entire bathrooms and kitchen (trying to get rid of bugs and viruses).
    6. Had the kitchen, bathroom and our bedroom windows open to let some fresh air through.
    7. Cleaned the leather suite and office chair.
    8. Done eight loads of washing and some which is tumble drying right now.
    9. Wrote a list of things to finish off for tomorrow (revac, ironing, last load of washing to be done and dusting).
    10. Cleaned the dishwasher with a vinegar solution.
    11. Put the scented candles on.
    12. Cleaned out the fireplace and lit a fresh fire.
    13. In the process of cooking dinner.
Cat, Dogs and the Horses are our fag and beer money :D
  • I have had a busy day. I have:

Washed up and tidied the kitchen (that is now untidy again.) then....

came on here to see how the other messies are getting on. Then...

Had my haircut and listened to my dippy daughter tying my hairdresser up in knots over what she wanted and then cleared the hair up.....Then

Come on here to see how the other messies are getting on. then

I went to the co-op to get some bacon because youngest son said he wants a cooked breakfast on Christmas day and he will cook it. The last bit I will wait and see about-it may well turn out to be lunchtime before he gets up. Then....

I came on here to see how the other messies are getting on......Then

I phoned my mum to see if she is still coming for Christmas and then.....

I came on here to see how the other messies are getting on....then

    I sorted out some presents......and

Came on here to see how the other messies are getting on..

God you lot are addictive.....or perhaps it is just a good excuse for a sit down.:rotfl:

Well messies I am done! I have cleaned and hoovered and tidied all downstairs and put up some lights and sacrificed a bit of leylandii to stand in for a tree! I haven't been this unmessy for Christmas for many years. Upstairs (apart from main bedroom) is still a messy nightmare, but I really don't mind... if the whole house was tidy I'd feel weird!

I have also wrapped presents, and now shall sit here and play with my new sewing machine - I can't believe that my plan actually worked and I am going to actually relax and enjoy myself for the evening!

I may have spent the last wee while crocheting instead of tidying :o. However I have a plan, I am going to move all the spare things in the living room into the dining room, close the door and forget it is there until after the celebrations :D

Then I am going to do the dishwasher and boil the potatoes so we can have them fried in butter with dinner later, a little bite of heaven :D. Going to wait until tomorrow to clean out the beasts and then they can have fresh beds for xmas eve just like us! The kitchen and the bathroom just need a wee wipe over apart from the floors which need a really good scrubbing.

Tomorrow I will get the rest of the presents wrapped while my DD is out with her grandparents although I may attempt to do a couple tonight with a glass of wine and some lovely Christmas candles burning in the background.

No idea why I am thinking about getting the house sorted so much as we don't even have anyone coming to visit :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

I'm not struggling anymore - I've accepted I well and truly CBA and it ain't gonna be done!

Its only me and OH for xmas. While he is a wee bit laid up after the hernia op, he's certainly capable of a bit of tidying and cleaning and he's not felt inspired to pick up a duster so I figure why should I? Especially given that most of the stuff messing up the lounge and preventing us putting up the dining table is his mess. :D He spent most of the hoarder programme trying to suggest that my paperwork was going to end up as bad as that until I pointed out that all of my papers were together in one in-tray, the pressies for wrapping were beside the chair with the wrapping paper and EVERYTHING else in the room belonged to HIM :rotfl:

If we can get the lounge tidy enough to put the table up for xmas dinner, I'll be happy. Might even run the hoover over the carpet before bed tomorrow if we're really lucky!
