A quick Happy Christmas to those [STRIKE]escaping[/STRIKE] leaving us for cleaner pastures today.:j

I distinctly remember saying at lunchtime that I needed to focus or SIT DOWN, otherwise I'd end up faffing the day away again without actually getting any rest. Hmmmmm. However, I did go to the supermarket-Aldi once and Sainsbury's once, realised I'd forgotten something then went back with DD...fatal. NNNNNNNNNNNo! I need to practise saying that in front of the mirror.

And the recycling bin is chock full, and it isn't even Christmas yet. I'll get my extra collection on 4 January. That's handy

I suppose, having given up on the rest idea, I might as well do something tonight. After this cup of tea....:rotfl:

Hi messies, poorly family member is bearing up well - we're going again on Christmas day. I have tomorrow at home and will get a bit more done towards a tidy home but am not going to overdo it now. I can't believe how fast this week has gone!

    Rummer, glad you're feeling better!

Cat, pizza (cake/chocolate/sweets) in bed is one of life's essential comforts and it will undoubtedly recharge your batteries ready for the weekend!

Helen, I am always in awe of your ironing skills - I tend to wear slightly wrinkled things and hope they'll de wrinkle themselves from body heat!

GQ hope you have a good time over Christmas, will you be online? If not have a very happy one.

Buffy yay, well done with the tree!

Sonastin, my poor mum always has to get her own present from dad, but when I can I make him give me the money for what she wants, and get it and wrap it "from" dad!

MessyMare hope you made it to 8pm ok!

Edit: Laurel, I toyed with the idea of an evening of tidying, but it's not happening... I'm off to get some more coffee!

Hi everyone. Mummy dearest has gone home with five year old niece in tow,she lives with my mum. Was okay as both oh and mother were on best behaviour.
My dd is full of cold and passed it to me. It seems that the entire country is coming down with bugs.
We are going to have a big tidy tommorrow so oh says. I seem to have a big tidy everyday but hey ho.

Morning messies, well done to those conquering the messy gene (I can almost include myself in that now!)

This morning I am having a lazy breakfast before finishing off the tidying and making the living room habitable again. After that I shall be wrapping presents (yes, I left it THIS late!) and getting my packing list organised for going to stay at the parents' house for a few days.

After that, I shall play with my new sewing machine! I figured out how to wind a bobbin last night, soooo proud of myself! Today I'll learn how to do the top thread and have a go at some different stitches.

    Merry Christmas everyone!

AND I have to go to town to get more Xmas shopping

Why can't they make Christmas on the 28th/29th/30th or even combine with New Year? It would give me an extra few days :D
