I'm really worried about you Rummer:(:(:( Please let us know how you get on at the docs!

Rummer: Hope things improve for you soon. Take care of yourself and only do what you think you can without knocking yourself out. After all, it's only another bloody day in the year, let someone else do the hard work - we women try to do so much and run ourselves ragged. Don't let this happen to you!
Off me soapbox and sitting exhausted wiv a (slightly laced) cup of coffee (feeling very "humbug" this year).Normal people worry me.0 -
Rummer, ((HUGS)) to you. Don`t stress about what doesn`t get done, including posting here. If you feel so worn out & CAN sleep, do it! Hope you feel better soon xx.
Frugal - impressive doings there! I`m sure your friend will enjoy the visit too.
I`m not all done yet, but getting there nicely.(Or so I`m trying to convince myself).
I had DS`s ex & partner here this am, picking up DGD so thought I`d better hang around & be sociable, so being busy got off to a late start.
I`ve done the fruit & veg run to DD`s.
I`ve blitzed the kitchen, tonight`s meal ready plus cooking tomorrows supper now for after work.
ORGANISED stuff in fridge.
Got the tree & Nativity set up, and managed to locate the fairy for the tree BY TORCHLIGHT in the caravan...I SO nearly gave up on that one!
Made a fire, & now wrapping some of eldest DGD`s stuff as she`s not here. The cat is being very silly about this...time to wrap a couple more things then going to stop & listen to the Archers. Drags self away from pc again...0 -
Hope you soon feel much more perky Rummer... some of these viruses that are going around last a very long time, could it be one of those you've had? If so there is light at the end of the tunnel... I had one a couple of years ago and thought I'd never feel well again, but eventually it passed. Just don't push yourself, if you want to sleep when you come home, sleep! Checking with Dr as well is vital of course. Please let us know how you get on.
Well, I've been out and about today, sorting out stuff for poorly family member who is now getting moved up to the north west tomorrow, hooray! Still quite a drive, but we will be able to go and see him every couple of days, and on Christmas day, which we couldn't if he'd been in London.
On the messy front, downstairs still looks scary but it is all stuff that can be sorted fairly quickly, so I'm not panicking. At least there's room in the "shed" for any stray boxes of kitchen kibble (or is it gibble?) now.
I am now skipping phase 2 of Operation Christmas Tidy and going straight to Stage 3 (rearrange and clean bedroom), which I think will make me feel better. I'm going to do this tonight because if I leave it till tomorrow, I will obsess and stress and deflect and prevaricate and distract myself with irrelevant and unimportant stuff until the day has been wasted. This way, the bedroom will be done tonight, even if it is very late when I finish... and tomorrow will be clear for getting downstairs cleaned up.
So, after this coffee then...

Phase 3 is well underway - but I think I'm getting too old for this moving furniture around lark! It's a long time since I rearranged the bedroom, but it always feels sort of new and nice when I've done it. Better get back to it before I get too tired...I believe in the freedom of spinach and the right to arm bears.

Dear friend has cancelled

I am so disappointed I can't tell you
I went shopping with DDsthis evening and bought loads of food and festive stuff so we could have a mini Christmas... I understand that she is stressed and has a lot to do before Xmas, as I am myself... So whilst I really do understand, I am really sad
Fridge is fit to burst so I think I will make it a mini Christmas for the DDs and IF they ever tidy their room, I will let them open a present as it will cheer me up to see them excited.
After my truly dreadful year, Dad passing away less than a week after my fiance left me (very, very lucky escape with hindsight), amongst other unmentionable but equally horrible horrors, it doesn't take much to knock me off my perch, and I know my friend would be mortified so I won't say anything, but I was so looking forward to her visit that its thrown me
I just can't wait until 2012.Putting these winter preps here so I don't forget!

Frugal - aw hun thats a real bummer, lots of squishy hugs for you, I think the idea of doing a dinner for DD's and the pressie is a good one and still gives you something to look forward to even if it isn't quite the same. Can you and your friend get together between Xmas and New Year and celebrate the end of an awful year and the hope for a good 2012?? Hope you feel a bit more cheerful after a good nights sleep x
Off to wrap, wrap and wrap
Helen x
PS JPS - you are doing really well, keep it up

Frugal what a disappointment - hope you and DDs can have a little Christmas starter party and lift your mood a bit. Here's to a great year coming up for you.
Helen, I'm now utterly knackered! I managed to rearrange the room but it's not quite what I envisioned... never is, I suppose! I need to get busy and put shelves up in that room now, not to mention finish painting it! That might be a project for another holiday but we'll see.
Tomorrow should be straightforward now, just tidy and clean downstairs (and upstairs, shove everything not in its proper place in the [STRIKE]junk[/STRIKE] I mean spare room and shut the door)!
Then clean bathroom and loo, hoover down the stairs and I'm done... I'm out on Thursday but should have Friday to finish anything I don't get done tomorrow.
I need some food now... back in a min.I believe in the freedom of spinach and the right to arm bears.

I've finished 1 pile of pressies - another pile to do tomorrow, last bits to buy too and I'm food shopping!!! Next year I am so NOT leaving it this late to do the flipping wrapping
I now have to go and "do" the kitchen cos I can't face coming down to it in the morning and its in a state
Night all

Frugal - so sorry your friend`s visit was called off, think of it as postponed rather than cancelled, and enjoy yourself as best you can! Hugs to you & all Messies.
