Im sitting here trying to stop crying as my dog passed away an hour a go. He went in his sleep and I keep telling to myself that he was fifteen and therefore lived to a good age. I knew he was failing as his back legs went yesterday and all he wanted was to be cuddled. Sorry to burden everyone but I felt that putting it down in words would help .
We have buried him in the back all wrapped up in a blanket and his bed cover.

emm sounds like a lovely day. I have been really lapse at keeping in touch with my real oldie friends, really regret that sometimes, but life takes over
Wifefaefife - i have a junk room like that, its got worse since having a kitchen refit, plus loads to sell, including my old cooker, which is stuck in my hall, needing a total clean, just not getting my head around things lately.
Cat - hope you get your machine sorted, its a nightmare when it plays up,
Ravens cant remember what they are, but i think i have been doing the 1 & 3 tidy, superficial and visitor, ad the place feels really tatty.
flowers in the attic did not read through all the threads, as i just would be at computer all day catching up, so dont know who originally posted this, but i read that trilogy, not the Adrina one, although i did have it. I loved them, bit of a weird storyline when i think of it, but throughly engaging. Saying that, I bought my daughter some rather dramatic books by Jodie Picard, my sisters keeper amongst some. Anyone remember the thornbirds which was around the same time. Sorry to those many posts i have missed, and i will try to organise things so that i catch up of an evening. Today i would like to achieve a tidy of

    Kitchen
    downstairs toilet
    hall (excluding cooker)
    Laundry on and hung
BEDROOM (OMG its so messy), decided to swap wardrobes with spare room and i have clothes everywhere, mainly floor
    Sitting room, quick tidy
    Bathroom

Will see what i can get done and mark them off. Have a good day fellow messies.
  • Snookey so sorry to hear about your dog, its not a burden to people. I had to have my dog put down about 10 years ago, as he was old (a german shepherd), back legs gone, in pain from various ailments, i still have the odd cry about him. I can imagine the upset you are feeling, they are one of the family. Best wishes to you.

Thanks for the kind words re. my family member, it's awful leaving him down in London but at the moment he doesn't have much sense of what's going on and no sense of time really, so as long as he sees us regularly it's not too bad.

Snookey, so sorry - pets are family members too - hugs for you. I cried for two weeks when my old Spider-cat (so called for his ability to climb walls!) died.

Welcome new people, messies love company!

De-cluttered pile of mail on electric meter cupboard, some stuff there over 2 years old! And very, very little which needs to be kept:j

Tea done, dishes done. Persuaded my dad to take me to Mr Ts later, on a yellow sticker hunt, and also to get stuff for covering my shoebox make up box, just don't seem to have any suitable wrapping paper here and of course I chucked all my magazines.....:o Want to get those glue pen things, with the spongey top. Think I'll do it patchwork style as I'm rubbish at wrapping presents:o Also going to get stuff for banoffee pie as I've got a load of bananas which just won't get eaten, never made it before but it looks foolproof - famous last words! Shame I won't be able to eat it myself, I love bananas but they give me crippling stomach pains :(

Hi WFF and headachesrus! Headache, just finished the second book "Petals on the Wind" and have to say it really kinda irritated me, although I couldn't stop reading it....but I won't be rushing to get the next two! Did order second hand copies of My Sweet Audrina and a few Agatha Christie's I've found hard to get from Play.com though. I might save the Agatha's for Hogmanay, as I did last year because I hate New Year:(

candygirl I'm always having to attack the roller of my hoover with the scissors to cut hair out, I'm sure I could make a wig sometimes! Enjoy the Aldi Baileys:beer:

SaveDosh hope you've achieved all you wanted and if not there's always another day!

Emm, GREAT to hear you sounding so upbeat! xx

Hope Rummer, muffin, tatty and anyone else MIA are ok :/

Howling gale and heavy rain again here tonight.

not long back from Mr T, that was the most fun I've had in ages! To be honest they didn't have an awful lot of reduced stuff but I did get loads of packs of sausages, chicken fillets, chicken breasts, Finest burgers with chilli and cheese, all around 20-30p each! Most stuff 10% of original price. Plus organic spinach for 7p, shiitake mushrooms for 8p. The man putting the veg out ended up running away from me!:rotfl:

I now want another freezer but don't have room for one, it would have to go in my bedroom! Hmmm...it's hardly a boudoir....it could work.....:)

ETA...oh wow. Finest lemon tiramisu. 2 pack down from £3 to 45p and blimey is it GOOD!!!!! Would never have bought it full price though!

:o I can't express how much that means to me.

Sorry I have not been around but I am struggling health wise and I am either working or asleep at the moment. The house is teetering on the edge at the moment however I have been keeping on top of the public areas so it is respectable of people pop in.

Not had a chance to read back to see how you all are. Hogs to those that need them and I will come back tomorrow to catch up properly and update you on my tidying :D
