aw thanks you SD, I really don't think I do, I'm forever editing to add something in! And worrying and feeling guilty in case I've missed someone out!
Just faffed about tidying up bits and pieces since I was last here, washed the ashtrays (hurrah!), hoovered up DD1's hair from living room floor. DD2 cut it for her last night, it's quite short and looks really really good! I wish I could have short hair but my nose is far too big!
Having veg stir fry for tea tonight, almost a detox day if it wasn't for the coffee and fags!:D
Rummer - been meaning to ask you, how did you find learning to crochet? I find it so hard to take things like that in these days (you should have seen XH trying to show me how to do a complicated lacing of trainers), so though I'd really like to learn (I need a new, useful hobby), I'm sure I wouldn't be able to do it!
Helen, everyone else is right, you should get checked out at the docs. I had blood tests for tiredness but there was nothing wrong so we just had to put it down to the depression.
Oh, another thing, simple dehydration can cause tiredness, I never realised that if you're even a bit thirsty, you're actually dehydrated. I know when I was on a health kick about 7 years ago I drank a lot more water and felt better. So check the colour of your wee and get drinkingIt's such a shame red wine doesn't count.....Problem is, I have days when I'm really thirsty, and days when I don't feel thirsty at all so I really had to force myself to drink more on those days.

I am absolutely loving it. Please don't get me wrong I have no natural talent however I am really having fun trying different patterns and exploring lovely yarns. If you are keen to give it a try then I would recommend this book to start you off:
http://www.thebookpeople.co.uk/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/qs_product_tbp?storeId=10001&catalogId=10051&langId=100&productId=253008&searchTerm=cute+and+easy+crochet
My library also has loads and loads of books on knitting and crochet.
There are lots of lovely patterns and they are at different levels of ability allowing you to create simple yet eye catching things straight away. A size 4 hook would be a good place to start. When it comes to yarn you can spend as little or as much as you want. That means you could get going for under a £10. There are lots of useful demo clips on you tube and many wonderful blogs to follow. This is one of my favorites:

If I can help with anything else just say
Today we went to get the last few bits to finish the interim decoration of the bathroom so hopefully it should get done this week while my OH is off! We also got the paint for the hall and we have gone for a really dark red which I am very excited about!
As for the cleaning I am half way through the laundry and I have a reasonably tidy downstairs!Taking responsibility one penny at a time!0 -
Rummer thank you so much, the book is a bargain price! I'm going to have a look at the blog and vids you recommend too, though I think I might scare myself!:D It just looks so complicated! But I will give it a go, probably after Christmas, and will try and get DD1 who is a knitter to try too:):)
I find myself with lots of plans for next year thanks to OS, like making the effort to actually follow one of the language courses on BBC learning, and making chutney, I love it though I hardly ever buy it. The last time I made it was for one of my Brownie badges, Green Tomato Chutney! But probably the most useful thing would be wine-making:D0 -
My OH is really into wine making!
It may look tricky however I found it fun to learn. If you have some spare pennies why not see if a local craft shop runs an intro course, thats what got me going.
I love having lots of projects and hobbies on the go, it is good for the mind and the soul!Taking responsibility one penny at a time!0 -
Evening all
Thanks for all the tips - going to go into Boots and see if I can make sense of what I want and then go somewhere cheaper to buy it lol. Not long had a blood test for everything so I know it's not lack of iron etc but if it continues after taking supplements then I'll go back again to the Doc.
Eating regularly might help!! I'm ok if DH is around as he makes sure I eat but when he's at work I tend to forget as I get involved in doing other stuff and suddenly most of the day has gone by - does anyone else do that or is it just weird me hehe
Tomorrow I HAVE to get DS his b`day card for Tuesday or I'm in trouble.
I must pay a bill this week too - Weds payday can't come soon enough
Have a great day tomorrow everyone
Love and hugs to all

Hi All,
Snooky so sorry to hear about your dog. I've done almost zero in the house this weekend....but I've had a lovely time spending it with family and friends. Went to the shops to do a bit of xmas shopping, we met up with MIL and FIL. They bought us lunch and then bought me a lovely jacket for my xmas :-)
Speaking of xmas someone (maybe Cat501) mentioned us not being able to have a night out...I was thinking maybe we could have a xmas night in??!!
I thought we could name a date and time, get your glass of wine/fizzy water and nibbles and have a night in posting....or that idea just to far fetched?I love MSE freebies and comps. Thanks posters0 -
Morning all, I have cut a pasted this from yesterday, as i achieved the grand total of doing nought, hopefully, today will be better. Waiting in for a tiler, electrician and my sons friend to drop of some cds, so will be in mostly. Want to get done:-
Tidy sitting room
Sort papers
Upstairs hall & stairs and hoover
Sort sitting room cupboard
Wrap the xmas prezzies i have bought
Have a good day everyone0 -
Ahh Snookey, I'm so sorry about your four legged friend; although not on the same scale we lost one of our rats to severe respitory problems last week so I know a little of how you feel.
Cat- Honestly, don't worry! I wish I could do it the normal way but CD is the only thing that's ever worked for me. I have over 5 stone to lose and with an accident caused bad knee and hip I have to be very careful with exercise and I need to get the weight down just so I can walk more easily
Not done much bar the basics this weekend. Mummy bought us a load of seasoned firewood from a friend so we had fun tetris stacking them in the back garden. All I really did yesterday was washing up, laundry and I did clean the kitchen counters and the hob. Sigh. Feel so unproductive! My OH bought a lampshade (we've been on bare bulb throughout the house since we moved) and the dog keeps staring at it, bless him.
((((hugs)))) for everyone xx

lol yes that was me, always thinking of parties! I think a xmas night in is a FAB idea:T Maybe we could post when we're available.....ok I'll start.....24/7/365:D....though it would be nice to have a wee Bailey's copy or two, and I wouldn't really drink on a school night:), so any Friday or Saturday night is great for me....could stretch that to Thursday.....:D
ooh I hate waiting for workmen SD, just feel that I can't really settle to getting on with anything. Waiting for boiler man here. And I expect that yet again they'll say they've fixed it, and yet again it'll go wrong again tomorrow.
OK MM I'll try not to worry! xx
Have a good day everyone xxx0 -
Hi folks. Your thread caught my eye as I was browsing earlier. I don't get on the forums much, but hope you don't mind me dropping by;)
I have taken a weeks leave to try to catch up on the mess before Christmas brings more stuff to find homes for lol.
So far today I have done 3 lots of washing, run dishwasher twice and sorted my sons wardrobe - getting rid of 2 bags of clothes for charity and 27 coat hangers! He still has enough clothes to wear something different every day for 29 days without washing anything!! I think I may have bought him too many clothes over the last year.
Right off to do another job. Catch you later:xmastree:Merry Christmas0
