Hi KITTY, welcome to the messies! Very productive day you're having! How old is your son? Mine doesn't seem to have many clothes these days, he's 13 and just keeps streeeeeetching, so trousers bought 3 months ago are now at half mast!!! I could also do with decluttering some hangers. I never ask for them when I buy anything so goodness knows where they all come from, I think they breed! Which begs the question - why don't pens do that? :/

Hope you can join wifefaefife's Messies Christmas Night In!!:)
  • Thanks Cat. I'll certainly try to attend any party - invited or not lol

My son is 17 and clothes are the easiest thing to get him. He's disabled and doesn't ask for anything so that's one way I can spoil him! He doesn't wear clothes out much either so they are always in good condition. If you'd like the jeans I'm getting shut of let me know, I'll happily send them on.

Just finished sorting a chest of drawers full of underwear, shorts and pyjamas. Think this lot can go to recycling bins.

Going to have a cup of coffee and a sit down for a while. I'll be back to report in later.

  • Helen - the bit about the Christmas Decs and your OH made me smile, mine (after telling me off last year for putting them up on the first weekend in December) asked me sheepishly if we can put them up next week...in the first week of December!

Our greatest weakness lies in giving up; always try just one more time

    Hi Cat
Don't mind about cod - I'll send them anyway but if you want to stick a couple of quid in a charity box feel free. If they aren't right size just pass them on. I'll pm you my details and we can make arrangements.

sorry kitty, replied to your pm before I saw that post. Ok, charity box it is (any one in particular?) and if there's any way I can reciprocate, just let me know!:)

Boiler man been. He thinks it's the circuit board, but as the problem is intermittent the HA won't give the go ahead to replace the boiler:mad::mad::mad: Makes me mad, he actually told me it was knackered! Also asked him how efficient it was cost wise, and he said C rated, the lowest:mad::mad::mad: The good news is, apparently they have a contract to replace all the old boilers and radiators, the money has been set aside to do it and it has to be done by the end of the financial year, so only 4 months max to wait.

No word from washing machine man :(

Made broccoli, cauli and potato soup, it's not bad but I think DD2 will say it's too peppery. Have been sitting with 2 fingers in a glass of ice all afternoon, burnt them with hot oil, looking at them you'd think nothing was wrong but it hurts like ****!!

No other achievements today as yet:o

hope everyone's having a good day xx

ETS - hmm, one bowl of that soup is definitely enough, maybe I'll stick to lentil in future :)
