Morning.....had to take DS to hospital last night with his asthma, they gave him three nebulisers in a row and during the third he suddenly got a lot worse, luckily they'd already prepped him to get a cannula in so they got him on an aminophylline drip right away, injected hydrocortisone, anyway he got loads better after that, so I came home after he'd been settled for a few hours and was up on the ward, around 4.15am - feel so guilty though, have never left him there before! But he is nearly 14 and if I'd been in any doubt at all I wouldn't have.:(

Heading back up there very shortly with treats:)
  • Cat - hope DS is well enough to come home today - hugs for you all

    Today I have

    wasted some time on here
    Took DS to his Dads
Had conversations with DH about whether or not I'm working today - complicated story
Removed DR table from DR ready to go into Garage
Removed various gibble from DR ready to go into the garage
wasted some more time on here!!
opened all windows upstairs as we're suffering from comdensation for the first time ever!! Putting it down to new boiler

Need to put stuff into already overstuffed garage
Bring other table out of garage and give it its final coat of paint
    Need to iron
    need to wash school stuff

And the list goes on and on and I'm really having to push myself today as I'm having a very bad CBA day

    Lovre and hugs to all

Cat what a fright you must have had! We have been in that position before with our DD and it is so frightening.

Been up early this morning and I have got our room whipped into shape so just the rest of the house to get on top of today :rotfl:

  • Oh Cat I hope your DS feels better! And Emm, what a lovely thing to say :D Well I'm at work until 5.30 today, but I've managed to get to the butcher for a gammon steak for OH and have a good old cuddle with the doggington. After a worrying lull at work for the past couple of weeks things are picking up again so I'm happy with that :) Today's to-do - get OH weekly food shop in (this is my main contribution to the household, lots cheaper than normal though because obviously I'm on Cambridge Diet), do any accumulated washing up, take photos of the party dresses and shoes that I'm going to Ebay, and use the spanky new hoover mum bought me (a bagless upright, she did get us one a few days ago but it broke as soon as I used it!). Oh and do 10 minutes on the stepper. Really let this slip this week due to various things!

Our greatest weakness lies in giving up; always try just one more time

hi guys - flying visit home, DS had a bit of a relapse at 6.30am, so they increased his oxygen and added something else to his drip, he's going in the right direction though he won't be out till Tuesday probably. As the doc said, it was a very serious attack and it's going to take some getting over. Thanks for the good wishes xxx Going back now to listen to him moan about not being able to watch the Liverpool game tomorrow!

Yikes, Cat-all the best to you and DS.

And thanks everyone for your commiserations and support x

Descending further into chaos here, but the fence has one post and two panels to go, the plasterer has finally finished, so I have four ceilings to paint, and twelve rolls of loft insulation seem to have fallen into my trolley at Wickes. It was some fall, because I only have a Yaris and it took two trips :p

Oh yes, and I've asked the plasterer to come back and do the landing and both bathrooms...

And now the cat is asleep on my lap, while the leeks I was dicing when my parents arrived at 9am this morning are still on the board half chopped...do I care? Yes, but not enough to move my spoilt little friend...;)

  • I so need to join this thread as I've had a few rough few months with family things that I've lost sight of everything in my home but now Im on the mend and now I need to get back in control of my home and other things around here.
My whole house needs decluttering and a clean before putting my christmas dec's up.

My plan today is to catch on the washing and ironing and then start trying to sort some clutter out.
I will pop back later to let you know how I got on.

    Happy sunday. xxxx

Hello messy people. Cat best wishes for your son.

Iv put my new curtains for the front room up. Talk about heavy, they are 120w and 120L each curtain . Look really nice as they go down to the floor.

OH and son have done most of the housework this weekend. Im really pleased and got to do virtually nothing.

Laurel sounds like you have your hands full.

    Welcome new people.

    Hello everyone

I'm hoping you have room for one more! I having been reading your thread with interest over the past few months, you are all doing so well. :)

I have been really inspired by all of your efforts and have been trying to sort out my own place for what seems like a very long time now. It feels like one step forward, two steps back most days, if you know what I mean!

I've had a rotten cough and cold for the last 10 days or so, so that has set me back a bit (well that's my excuse anyway ;)), so I hope to try and get on track within the next few days. I'd like it to be a bit more presentable by Christmas. That's the plan.

If it's ok, I'll dip in and out with my progress. If I have to write it down, I might actually get around to doing it. :o
