Oh Helen, please let us know how he gets on, I am thinking of you and your family.
Things here have been quiet and I am trying to convince myself that the laundry will just wash itself without any need for me to leave the couch!Taking responsibility one penny at a time!0 -
Helen my son lives at home with me and his youngest sister he's 19 will be 20 on jan 2nd that is why i really want him to start chipping in so he has time to get used to it before he moves in with his gf they have a little girl she will be 2 in june and a baby due in june as well gf is struggling with pnd and college and living in an overcrowded place if we hadthe space id let her stay here till they get some where but our place is too small
his dads a waste of space (note that is the polite way of putting it ) hes an alcoholic and only cares about himself i was his punch bag for far too long took me 24 years to finally kick him out and althought its been really hard these last 6 years i think it was a case of better late than never i now have my other son( hes 24) back in my life which means more to me than ex ever did son is on esa work support one because of his adhd, odd and cd he couldnt cope with any work with out support he reminds me of me with some of the things he struggles with but on a good day he can be really kind and helpfull thats why i wont give up on him cos i know what that feels like his brother trys really hard to get him to understand but its not easy

First of all I hope your hubby is okay Helen and Im sending a hug your way.
Iv been really busy yesterday and today. Sorted out the tool cupboard only for the big tool, to say, I wont be able to find anything now. Could have hit him over the head with a hammer, lol. Too messy though.
Sorted out the twenty odd cans of paint into plastic boxes. We have duplicate colours . They were hidden away with the tools.
Iv almost finished painting the front room, just a few odd bits to finish. Iv scraped the paint up off the floor , tidied and cleaned the room. Will start the staining on Friday.
Did a pile of washing yesterday only to have another pile after doing dd room. Found a shaver in her room, in her bed !!!. Has been trying to shave her legs and she is only eight!!". Gave her a lecture on why she should not touch razors.
Billy the jail birds cage done. That Parakeet makes my mess look tame.
Had to wash the wool rug in the back room as dog decided to pee on it. It took ages and ill still have to wash it again as It smells. Weighs a ton when wet and I had to drag it over the banister to dry.
Bathroom bleached and sorted out. Family have problem with throwing empty bottles out and empty loo rolls.
Bed changed as OH was not well and had sweated . Had to roll him out the bed and ordered him to get a shower. Can not stand smelly men or beds. Not very sympathetic am I ,lol.
Cat have a really nice birthday. Muffin glad to see you had a better day.
My friend is coming tomorrow to pick up my old table and chairs so thats less clutter.
If Iv missed anyone sorry and Im sending you all a virtual hug.0 -
:wave:HI yorkshire lass im still here, just, im ok just not on full power atm so i'm reducing the hours i am doing chores in house if they cant be bothered then why should i its not as if any one will see it its my room that needs doing do it i will my way i think thats half the problem everything is getting me down because it's not the way i would do it
i know what you mean about no money by time ive paid basic bills im left with £15 max to feed me for 2 weeks (good job i'm not a big eater, the annoying thing is if i was living on my own then i would have more left cos gas and electric would be lower and i would probably do away with tv licence don't watch tv anymore) then i get hounded to give my youngest the ctc apparently if i don't give it to her i'm stealing it mm i don't agree with her i was under the impression ctc was to help parents financially so they kept the home and keep it warm plus clothes and food hope that makes sense i'm on my own tonight they've both gone out seperately im doing the washing inbetween catching up on here only another 7 loads to do:eek:
a frugal birthday sounds good after all if your son doesn't want to celebrate it means he understands money is tight and that to me means he cares and that too needs celerbrating can you sorta small surprise for him something you know he will like but without busting the budget2nd purse challenge no040£0 Sealed pot challenge ???? £2 trolley find not counting small coins till end year0 -
