    pfft - a washout of a day, no achievements apart from cooking, and a row with DD1 to finish things off (pointing out her mess and failure to help much is "starting a row" and end of conversation - we can only talk about things if they suit her). Starting to think might have to cancel party on Friday as I just can't get it done by myself.....so tired and lethargic....night all, hope you've had a better day - sorry for the whinge!! xx

Got to take DD to dentist this afternoon, so need to get some stuff done this morning. My lovely OH has just brought me a cuppa so now i need to get my a*&e in gear and jump in the shower/bath.

    Hi everyone, I was up and showered by 7.15 so a good start to the day, took the dog to the vets, DH took the kids to school. I've stripped our bed and remade it, done the kids bed and just need to put the wet washing up to dry.

    Got a typing job come in which I'll need to do and then I want to:
    * unload DW
    * sort out kitchen drawer
    * vacuum right through
    * sort through kids toys

    There'll be more to come onto the list but it's all progress isn't it.

    Hope you all have a good day; sorry I'm not replying to people's messages but will when I get a chance :o

    xx

    Well, I've had a shower and coffee and so far today I've:
    emptied tumble dryer folded all clothes and put them away,
    put another load of washing in dryer
    put another load in washing machine
    sorted out papers and magazines and put in recycle box
    washed out various empty bathroom products bottles and put into recycle
    tidied up 1 of my many 'messy corners'.

    Muffin Man - does your DS stay at home with you, if so, is there anyone [social worker, DS's Dad or one of the other children] anyone who can help you with him - how old is he, if he's working he should ABSOLUTELY be paying his way or even paying a small bit towards his keep if he is not working. I really do feel for you honey but you MUST get some help from somewhere. Are you able to have a family meeting maybe, and sit down with the children and tell them how you are feeling - be really honest [as hard as that can be] you really need some support - what a shame we're not nearer cos I would willingly help you, in the absence of being able to help take a hug hun [hug]

    Today I have
    School run stuff
    Shopped at Tesco [doubled up my vouchers and got a new coat and cardy and it cost nowt]
    Put away food shopping
    Ironed
    WM x 2 done and another 2 to do
    Had a lay down as AF is 3 months overdue and I'm knackered [not preggies maybe menopausal]

    Need to put the ironing away now
    Tonight I'm away to pick up some curtains I've got from someone on freecycle - will adjust them to fit DS's window

    Have a lovely rest of the day everyone

    Kitty, I'm sure it'll be fine with your new friend - try not to be nervous, she's come to see you, not the house. Saying that I know what you mean and always clean/tidy/put away frantically before anyone I don't know very well comes ;)!

    Helen, I looked on the Tesco website and printed off my vouchers - turns out I've got more than I thought I can spend which was a lovely surprise! We've got stuff for the kids for Christmas/birthdays so going to treat myself and buy some things for me for a change. Guilt free shopping .... lovely!
    Have you been to the GP re AF being 3 months late? Maybe they could run some tests for you? I'm sure you're way too young to be menopausal honey :)

    Tattycath, you've done a lot too - been a good morning for lots of us by the looks of it.

    Just picked the dog up from the vets so am £70 poorer than I was 30 minutes ago :mad:. Need to do my shopping list as Mr S is coming tomorrow and I haven't ordered anything yet except for teabags .... best get going hadn't I.

    muffin man really can't say it any better than Helen has, you sound at your wits end and you NEED help! You can't possibly cope with this alone, nobody could! If your doctor is sympathetic speak to him/her too, if not, find another doctor. Big hugs and I too wish I was nearer xx
  • Hi :D

    Can I join in please? I was really good at the beginning of the year, and over the past 2 years and did ENORMOUS amounts of de cluttering.. I have come a really long way - our 1 up 1 down house was literally overflowing with stuff (thanks to hoarding OH!) and now we we are able to move around and the place looks almost 'normal' but I seem to have fallen at the last hurdle and neglected my duties over the past few months.. things haven't really got any worse but they haven't got any better either. For me it's not just clutter now, it's also general mess :( The house is so small it just seems to get messy so easily and I struggle to get motivated to sort it out. But enough is enough, I'm going to tackle the mess and clutter starting from today :D

    I'll get to work in a bit and might post some before and after pics if anyone would like to see them :)
