My home is a mess

Hello everyone. Iv done Zilch today as the main rooms were cleaned yesterday. OH going around finishing jobs now he has a new drill, boys and their toys!.Iv finally put up my country home made curtain accross my machines. Country look shabby chic kitchen.
Jp well done on the cleaning. Colleen I remember seeing on Kim and Aggie, balloons being used to get cobwebs on ceilings. Looked really fun and good exercise.
Muffin dont forget a new duvet needs a new cover and maybe a nice pair of new sheets. Life is too short not to treat yourself and why should others always be first.
Rummer I dont have a fund for household items but look for the things I need on ebay, freecycle and gumtree.0 -
Not done much today
went food shopping -bad idea, spent £80. Didn't meal plan or anything, didn't take a list...Bad day.
Tomorrow will be better, gonna do a 'to do' list (again) and try to achieve a lot more than i have today. Also going for a 'no spend' day tomorrow.

afternoon all, flying visit, thought I'd better sort DDs tea out before coming on here, and any minute I'm going to get a call to walk round and collect DS from his dad's (I have to carry to X Box, he's quite wheezy and it's cold so he can't carry a lot of heavy stuff about). Done nothing today except dinner, people were letting fireworks off at 3.30am out the back of my flat:eek: Grrrr! So I'm pretty tired. Will be back soon to catch up xx0

Afternoon all
Today I've done
Hoovered downstairs
Hoovered stairs
Helped DD put away her ironed clothes
Made beds
Washed up
Made tea
Made curtains for our bedroom
Tidied up bits
Played Monopoly [our version not the proper version]
Had Mum round for a couple of hours
Washing and drying
Now need to do some ironing - trying to keep on top of it now that I've cleared the back log
DH is on early shift for 4 out of 5 days this week so I'll get lots done on 3 days [4th day going to Cambridge - taking Mum for some shopping]
Have a nice evening everyone

Gosh, this is me all over!
My husband walked out in January, and I've been through many dark months when I was grieving, hit rock bottom with depression & anxiety, and didn't leave the house for a few months.
I'm back at work, the divorce is through but the finances are still a mess. But my house is a shell of what it used to be, far from a loving home.
I'm desperately working on a) keeping my home and b) changing my environment. Hopefully I'll get there with the help of this amazing thread!0 -
Welcome Louise:j!! (if that is actually your name!) Got to run now and pick DS up, but will be back on to chat about stuff later if I'm allowed on the pc! Sorry you've had such a rotten time this year (((hugs))) xx0

Welcome dearlouise, have a squeeze and a piece of pumpkin seed bread (it turned out very well as it happens)! So sorry you've had a rough time of it, I hope you'll soon be feeling better. You're sure to feel at home with the messies anyway, no one judges and this is a really supportive thread.I believe in the freedom of spinach and the right to arm bears.

Hello DearLouise
What a dreadful time you've had [remember it well when I went through the same]
We're all here to help each other and we're all very friendly so grab a cuppa, pull up a seat and join in.
Just had to tell the kiddies off for fighting and then lying to me - hate lying!! DS has been a right handful today and he's now under no illusions as to what I think of his behaviour!!!! Got a sore throat cos I shouted, they are both now sitting quietly, watching tv.
Still haven't started the ironing

Oh you're all so lovely!
I've had a mildly productive day. All washing & ironing done for work, and I've worked through some of the paperwork in the office, shredding what's now irrelevant or not mine. Quite therapeutic!0
