Last night as soon as I came in I did the washing up - admittedly this was before all the washing up from doing OH's dinner but I rinsed all that out really well after I'd cooked so that can wait until I get in tonight. I did this while he was putting together the wardrobe (one of those canvas ones) he's got from a friend and then we put all the clothes in that one. Makes my side of the bed feel very crowded but it's only there temporarily. So much better having them out of the damp wardrobe, they won't niff so much now.
I also decided to purposely leave my laptop charger at work (I love my job, I get to take my laptop with me!) so I only had a limited amount of time on it rather than sitting there on it all night. OH even picked up that I was feeling low and gave me lots of cuddles, we ended up having a lovely evening together. He is just the best sometimessuch a different side to last week!

Hi, hope you don't mind me jumping on this thread? I subscribed to it some time ago-I can so relate to you all.
I've just managed to finally empty my ironing baskets this morning-all folded up and neatly piled on the relevant beds for the kids to put away.
Put a load of washing in dryer and a load in the washing machine.
Still got loads of stuff to do and lacking in motivationGE 36 *MFD may 2043

My daughter has jobs that she can do to earn money from me at 75p per job. These include taking clean washing upstairs and flinging the dirty stuff down the stairs. Bring plates down and some kitchen cleaning and loading dishwasher/wash mach or tumble drier. It is teaching her good values about money and when she wants something, the credit agency of Mum pays and then her jobs get done to work off that debt. We have this arrangement as I have serious health problems, which have caused me to be on SSP since July this year. I do quite a bit in small tranches, then I rest, then I do a bit more. Some days I achieve lots, the next day I may have to sleep it all off. Part of my condition. Infact I am going to take a short nap right now.0

hello everyone
i got back from holidays last night, wouldve come on sooner but i am absolutely shattttterred
hugs for those hving a hard time at the moment
well i obviously havent done anything because i havent been here lol, but ive done a load of washing, some food shopping and some unpacking, and tidied a few bits up ...
beef stew in slowcooker, will have it tonight with crusty bread and dumplings
happy bonfire night to those who are doing anything... not doing anything here as ds and our cat are afraid of fireworks, so i will just be staying in and hoping that neither of them get upset by the noise... i live right oposite a holiday park and a few streets away from the beach, both of which do fireworks displays and add the noise from the houses as well ... just hoping ds can sleep through it and will turn the tv up for the cat

Oh my, huge soft, squishy hugs to everyone and I hope you are all feeling a bit better this morning
Muffinman - you have my upmost respect for raising so many children - well done
Mumof2 - you are an absolutely excellent mum and I know how much you do for your children, don't forget that hun. Your son had a terrible fall but thank goodness he is ok - must of shaken you and the family up quite a bit and that unsettles everyone - huge hugs. DD is at an age where she knows everything and you know nothing, I'm just coming out the other side of DD having the most horrific tantrums, attitude etc and at nearly 12 she is now emerging as a nice girl - just waiting for the teens bit to kick in, you are NOT an awful Mum - ever. DH works hard but so do you too, he's male and just doesn't realise how hard child rearing is, he's just looking out for you cos he loves you, he doesn't get annoyed with you, he's frustrated at how hopeless he is!!
Cat - have a hug too cos you have it hard aswell
Love and hugs to everyone - baby steps all the way

Hi, everyone, not been around for a while. I hope you are all well, i will catch up on the posts in the next week. Well having fallen into a depressed slump, as i was having a kitchen refit, with dust covering the whole house, we are near the end, the kitchen has been fitted, minus the floor and our cooker is reconnected, minus the washing machine. Decided to splash out on a new hob, oven and chimley hood, so my finances have taken a severe nose dive. Plan for today is to basically clear all of downstairs, which includes getting all the food and dishes that are in the sitting room rewashed and into the cupboards and pantry (a converted meter room). The hardest thing I find about doing stuff, is getting motivated to start. Anyway, happy weekend everyone.0

Afternoon everyone - bear with me, I have this thread open in two tabs so I can refer back to people's posts because of my sieve memory!
No problem MM, I also find it hard making and more importantly keeping friends, that's my fault really, without a bit of alcohol I'm an intensely solitary person and awful at keeping in touch with people, both in rl and online! The fact that I'm being communicative on here, and managed to hold a conversation here for a few hours last night with only orange squash to keep me going, suggests to me that these tablets might be starting to have an effect:j:j Still didn't make it out of bed till 3.15pm but one thing at a time:D
Couldn't help giggling at your friends' backhanded compliments VJsmum! Honestly, some people eh? Good luck with anything else you have to do today. Hope you enjoy your guests tonight, plying them with wine is an excellent idea! I'd need to give guests a general anaesthetic at my door
CP I am glad you had a nicer night with your OH! Well done having the willpower to leave your laptop at work, it's very bad for me to come on the computer, I can't drag myself away.
Welcome tattycath!! Even as a newbie here I think, the more messies the better!! Sounds like you've done a massive amount today!:T:T I too have friends far away, over 400 miles in my case. Are the people at your work just not the kind you would socialise with if you know what I mean?
horseunderwater, I know that's a really good way of doing things with kids, but I feel so guilty asking them to do much, if I worked I would feel completely differently about it!:) But I do nothing and can't class my health problems as serious, even though I'd have every sympathy with someone else in my position. I am sorry you are so unwell:( and hope you had a good nap:)
kitty hope you and yours enjoyed your holiday! It's true what they say though isn't it, you need a holiday to get over a holiday:D Hope your son and cat are ok tonight. It's a shame you are so near displays! Talking of that, I'm firmly of the opinion that fireworks should not be on general sale to the public, even though I really like them. Too many idiots about. My DDs are off to a display with their friends, and DS is at his dad's....which could mean another fatal night for me on the Grocery Challenge...:o:beer:#
Hi Helen:) Wish I could have put my thoughts to mumof2 as well as you have:) Aw I don't think I have it hard at all really but a hug is always welcome!! DDs have had it so hard this year and we'll be glad to see the back of 2011. All I have is the guilt, is there anything more I could have done, though my doctor assures me I couldn't....tbh the year has been full of tragic deaths around me but not immediate to me, culminating in the recent murder of the daughter of a good friend of my mum....honestly, you just don't know how good you have it sometimes eh:(:(:(
SaveDosh, oh for some motivation!! Hope you have a productive day:)
Hope everyone heading out to watch fireworks tonight has a great time, hugs to all, and will be back if I have any demessying to report....:rotfl:0 -

Thanks for the welcome Cat. Some people I wouldn't associate with and some people are strictly-I come here to work and wouldn't have workmates are for at work and friends are for outside work and never the twain shall meet.GE 36 *MFD may 2043

You know Cat, the silly thing is when we first moved here we didn't have internet for a week. We were SO happy! We watched films together, or he would watch TV and I would read, it was so so nice. We were nicer to each other too. Despite how I may portray us, I'm no angel and I'm very guilty of snapping and being !!!!!y and also my worst trait- being a smart!!!!!! He even told me he loved me today, a very rare occurence
Well done everyone who's beavering away
