My home is a mess

I have spent nearly the whole day cleaning and ironing! I have decluttered the interesting corner next to my computer and found lots of cat toys that had been hidden (by the cat, not by me). The kitchen floor still needs doing, but there's no way I was cleaning it while 8 little paws kept going into the garden and then walking muddy paw prints all over it when they came in.
It did occur to me that if I put this much effort in every day I could have an immaculate home in a few months. No chance of that then :rotfl:
Child's birthday tomorrow so I will be making him a cake myself. Probably still won't get the kitchen floor done. I'll wait until it's had birthday cake walked into the muddy printsNo point doing it twice?
Noooo you can't do that on this thread hun:D
I've done fluck all today, excpet xmas shopping, batch cooking curry n pasta bake n me and OH have just boutght two mountain bikes for £50!!!My saddle wrecks tho:eek::eek::eek::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:"You can't stop the waves, but you can learn to surf"

(And anyone else who has to battle the system today) I`m off to work in a bit, won`t be posting for a day or 2 but will read if I get chance at night. I think it`s appalling what folks have to go through at these assessments & tribunals - just ADDS to any health probs. God Blessxxx

Sorry, haven't read anything at all
- had a torrid time of it as DS who is 4 took a fall in the playground on Weds pm, landed on his head and to cut a long story short ended up having a CT brain scan that night in A&E. The Dr was happy with the scan, there's no bleeding or anything at all nasty but obviously it was a really worrying time for all of us. He's fine, tired and bruised but OK. It was awful.
So, that aside, my house is still a tip - really need to get my bum in gear but can't be bothered; I'm much rather play on here. Really must go and at least make the beds I guess.
I'm feeling a bit down to be honest; feel like my mothering skills are pants (DD was upset earlier and I didn't exactly help the situation). DH seems to criticise everything I do and my antidepression meds are making me really really forgetful which is horrid. On the positive side we have a lovely lady coming in every fortnight to help me with the kids and because my confidence is low - we're working on some house rules and sticker charts etc for the kids and I know it's all going to improve.
Sorry to be on a downer; big hugs to anyone who needs one. Off to find some more left over Halloween treats for a quick energy boost before tackling the beds!

CRANKY well done on decluttering computer corner, my pc table is a job I HATE doing, it just seems to get cluttered with all kinds of stuff, mugs, post, rubbish, medicines, all kinds of odds and ends I just don't know where to put. Hope your little one is enjoying his birthday and enjoys his cake, I never did that for mine when they were little:o
candygirl that was a bargain on the bikes! Thought about getting one myself a while ago as I used to love cycling when I was younger but didn't do it in the end.
muffinman7, at least you sometimes get things done at some point of the day or night, it doesn't matter when it is:T Sorry to hear about your experience with ATOSDid you go to the tribunal with a representative? Better luck this time, it really is awful, at least this time I feel I'm expecting the worst so it won't feel as bad as last time when the result came back and I won't take it personally this time as I know they treat most people appallingly:/
Mumof2, omg you are having a terrible time! ((((big hugs))). So glad your son is ok, it's so awful isn't it?
Good on you making beds, afraid I don't do that unless I'm having a big tidy up. They get a long airing, that's my reasoning:o
So sorry you are feeling down, what anti-ds are you on? I've been through the gamut from a to z. How old is DD? I think we all feel like crap mums sometimes and I really HAVE been a lot of the time, I'm sure you aren't! You're coping with so much stress just now (doing a damn good job by the sound of it) and sounds like DH isn't helping one little bit( All I can say is, you can always come here and vent if it helps (((more hugs))) And yes I'm sure you're right, it WILL get better one day!! xx
Annoyed to be woken up this morning, was having a lovely dream about being on a long train journey chatting to Jules Hudson from Escape to the Country:o
Erm, trying to think of something on-topic .....might get rid of a few cds to Music Magpie over the next couple of days. I moved into this flat 3 years ago and since then they've resided in boxes on my bedroom floor and at the bottom of my wardrobe, rarely if ever used. I'll keep my classical ones though.
take care everyone, see you later:) xx0 -

Thanks very much. I'm on Venlafaxine 150mg (2 x 75mg) and it's suiting me well; just I seem to be forgetting everything at the moment! DD is coming up for 9.
Managed to get a few things done:
* Made the beds
* Sorted the washing
* Sorted through a small drawer in the kitchen
* Unloaded dishwasher
* Helped DS make a house for his toy monkey (great fun!)
* Done my filing
* Got rid of old files taking up room on this Mac
So quite good really .... onwards and upwards.Flymarkeeteer: £168 and counting0 -

Sounds like a very productive day to me!:T
Know what you mean about memory loss - DS says I call everything "the thing" As in "It's on the thing - that thing over there - you know what I mean, the THING!!!" Last night the thing was "window sill". But the name just wouldn't come to me and the more agitated I get the worse it is. I AM quite worried about it tbh!:eek:0 -

how long have you been on them? Sometimes they can make you feel worse for a bit but sounds like you have been on them a while. I think paroxetine were the first ones I was ever on, can't remember them having any effect at all
The ones I'm on now seem to be stopping me sleeping at night, I used to sleep day AND night so I guess it's a sort of improvement lol, still too tired to actually make much use of the "awake time":o
That's such a shame you didn't make it to the tribunal, it's so unfair, if you can't get there your chances of them overturning the decision are virtually nilIf you do end up having to appeal again (and I really hope you don't), just get as much help as you can. Did someone come with you to the assessment btw?:)
