My home is a mess

Well done:T I did the same a few months ago when I realised that when I wanted a recipe the first thing I did was google it, I never looked at the mags anymore. I stopped buying them too, all that money:eek: Just today hubby did the same with his Guitarist & Total Guitar mags.
Thank you! I stopped buying them about a year ago, decided £6 odd a month was far too much for something which was nice to look at but never got used! Big pat on the back to your hubby, I bet that wasn't easy for him!:eek:0 -
Hello
Not had time to read, hope everyone is ok! The rabbit has eaten the laptop cable so only able to make flying visits until I can afford a new one.
Horrid week so far house slipping into chaos so I am just going to go and knuckle down and try to bring it back from the brink!Taking responsibility one penny at a time!0 -
Iv just showered the dog and given him a haircut, now looks like a big poodle, lol. Caught his skin whilst cutting his fur now guilt ridden.
Cleaned the birds cage out.
Stripped our bed and put another load in the washing machine.
Cooked the tea.
Did some more painting.
Paulsad Iv had more chairs and carpets ruined by animals than I can remember. We have wooden floors now with rugs so its easier to keep clean.
Paul it sounds as if you need to give your son a boot up the backside . I know It sounds harsh but he sounds like a nightmare with little respect.0 -

It wasn't, bless him. Some of them were over 15 years old and have gone through 3 house moves with him, but he never looks at them. TAB or sheet music is available on the internet, and most things he plays by ear anyway.
On topic, I've managed to get the kitchen reasonably tidy, the DW has been on twice, and when hubby emptied the bin I gave it a good clean with bleach and hot water, it really needed it.+++ Divide By Cucumber Error. Please Reinstall Universe And Reboot +++

Its me again at stupid oclock. Iv just cleaned the kitchen, done more washing ,put the rubbish out and tidied the livingroom. Less to do in the morning. Why do I get energy boosts at stupid times.
Take care everyone.0 -
Morning All! Just a quick post to wish you luck today Cat. (And anyone else who has to battle the system today) I`m off to work in a bit, won`t be posting for a day or 2 but will read if I get chance at night. I think it`s appalling what folks have to go through at these assessments & tribunals - just ADDS to any health probs. God Blessxxx0

Goodness, well done everyone! Didn't get as much done as I thought I would yesterday as OH decided not to go to his evening class but to go to bed instead. Fair enough. Had a nice relaxing evening apart from some frantic calls from the boss trying to find something we'd sold on t'internet! Bless her, my organisational systems aren't the best.
Today must be noisy upstairs day. At work and currently the upstairs flat are doing their washing (washing machine making light fittings shake) and are sawing something. Hmm.
Good luck today Cat, hope everything goes as well as it can go for you xx
Our greatest weakness lies in giving up; always try just one more time0 -
Afternoon all - only on here can you find out about dogs being showered and rabbits eating laptop cables as well as very serious stuff like medical assessments. Its like sitting down and hearing old friends chatting about anything and everything.
Well thanks to you lot I feel a lot better about my sister coming. I have spent some time cleaning and tidying this week but the bits that havent got done will just get left. I am going to spend some time tomorrow cooking up some nice food and I am now determined to enjoy it. It is silly to get in a state about it, especially with everything else that is going on in my life.
I want to tackle my sons DLA renewal forms next week which I am not relishing but it has to be done. If anything he is worse now than when we first applied but I know that doesnt mean we will get the same level of DLA again. Its very scary.
Off to sort tea out now. Then I need to get the kids to clean the hamsters out - but I will probably end up doing most of it!0 -
aww thank you Emm (early bird!!) and CP, that's much appreciated! Home now, could say it went ok but you never know - really nice nurse doing the assessment but to all intents and purposes, her job is to find me fit so she probably will! Helped having my mum with me though:) Now the waiting game....
Best of luck with with your son's DLA form YL, the forms are a complete nightmare aren't they?! :eek:It's no wonder people don't bother claiming these things, a quick look through the form is enough to send anyone into a spin! Really hope you get an increase in your benefit xx Also glad you are feeling better about your sister's visit:)
CP I used to have an upstairs neighbour who did things at the strangest times, including using a drill at 3am one morning - very suspicious! At least you had a relaxing time last night!
Drained now and plan to do nothing except eat Tesco doughnuts all night! Even bought chilled ready meals for the kids, very un-OS!!!:o
Edit to say, I agree with you YL, I love how chatty this thread is! I'm always on tenterhooks though in case a board leader scolds me for going off topic:D0 -
I have spent nearly the whole day cleaning and ironing! I have decluttered the interesting corner next to my computer and found lots of cat toys that had been hidden (by the cat, not by me). The kitchen floor still needs doing, but there's no way I was cleaning it while 8 little paws kept going into the garden and then walking muddy paw prints all over it when they came in.
It did occur to me that if I put this much effort in every day I could have an immaculate home in a few months. No chance of that then :rotfl:
Child's birthday tomorrow so I will be making him a cake myself. Probably still won't get the kitchen floor done. I'll wait until it's had birthday cake walked into the muddy printsNo point doing it twice?
