My home is a mess

Hello again fellow messies - just reporting in another messy day
However, my free energy monitor from BG arrived today after I switched to energysmart and I've been having fun frightening myself with it all day
I keep looking in THAT spare room, and contemplating starting to de-messy it - then finding something else much more "important" to do insteadI believe in the freedom of spinach and the right to arm bears.

I'm not sure if the energy monitor sounds like fun or not jps!:rotfl:
Final report for the night
Dishes done - everything I could find, minus the big soup pot which is currently soaking in sink.:j
Fork count - 8. Could do better.
Teaspoon count - 7. Outstanding
Bits and bobs of debris cleared off computer desk, living room and bathroom floors. Still very messy though!
Kitchen surfaces wiped. Floor now worse than ever:embarasse
And this is all because of you lot so many, many thanks! Possibly off to bed now.....hope you've all had a good day) x

Mine is a flipping tip, I have been on strike all week as I'm fed up of being taken advantage of, and I have no intention to clean nor tidy up until someone else moves the stuff they have left everywhere. (I must say its getting on my nerves now sitting here looking at the cat hair, dust, plates and cups they have left in the lounge, but I'm NOT moving it.)
I have an Ebayer coming this morning to collect a table, I hope to goodness he doesn't ask to use the loo cause I haven't cleaned it since Saturday and the empty toliet roll is still in situ since then too.
I'm off for a long soak and then may go into town, and leave the Ebayer to my husband, cause I couldn't face the embarrassment if he needed the loo!:eek:0 -
merlot - hehe, well done for not gaving in and tidying up, go shopping [in a very MSE style] to treat yourself
Plans for today
Clean the bathroom as its now minging!!!
Iron
Wash some more clothes
Sand down a table and give it its final coat of paint
Visit the junk shop to look for chairs for table
Keep DS amused and out of my hair
Have a good day everyone
Remember 5 mins tidying is better than nothing - baby steps

Well, I had a massive melt down last night. I'd spent all day Wednesday tidying, cleaning, scrubbing, and what's the only thing ManBoy says when he comes home?

Awww massive (((huggles))) CP:A:AI find with my OH, the less I do the more I get appreciated:mad::mad:At the mo my car is in the garage being welded so I can't pick him up from work, as I do every day, so last night he came back on bus and brought a chippy tea back.Usually I do the picking up, tea etc, and no thanks at all.I think your OH needs a good kick up the bum tbh:mad::mad:"You can't stop the waves, but you can learn to surf"

Hang in there ColleenPamela, hugs for you and anyone else who wants 'em. I'm still wallowing in the luxury of not having to do much this week, but have done some cooking and washing, and am now busy dying my black clothes black again (works out cheaper than buying new ones!)
I started with a very stiff neck, down the left side and into my shoulder yesterday, and also feel a bit off. It's not a cold, and it's not flu, but it is sufficient excuse to wrap myself in fleeces and do sod all *again*
Hmmm interestingly the energy monitor was showing "happy house" (below average usage) all day yesterday, and I used £1 worth of electricity (I did sereral loads of washing, and cooked a fair bit, so that's fine) but then when I went to bed I took the monitor with me (well it is my new toy, y'know!!) to check how low it would drop during the night.
It couldn't find the signal in my bedroom, so was blank and "finding signal" all night. When I then took it back downstairs this morning, it registered 46p for "today" already (before any appliances etc were used) and is showing "sad house" (above average usage)! Where on earth did I use 46p worth of leccy overnight?!
I will leave it plugged in downstairs tonight and see if it was the "finding signal" thing that caused the problem. Otherwise I have pixies using my leccy at night!I believe in the freedom of spinach and the right to arm bears.

Oh ColleenPamela, that's so awful!!! I honestly don't know what to say, and as a newbie I don't want to overstep the mark, but I'm with candygirl - you deserve better treatment than that
((((( As for the Cambridge diet, that worries me, you need to eat and take care of yourself or you'll make yourself even more ill than you already are
Big hugs!!!!xx
Get well soon jps! *hugs*
Hope everyone else having a good day, at the moment I CBA so I'm doing nowt. Feel like a good bucket of wine!0 -
CP have a hug [hug], give your OH a bloomin good kick up the bum, go on strike and see how he feels having to do it all!! Bloomin men like that make me so bloomin mad Grrrrrrrrrr. If I were you I'd stuff the diet for the time [maybe its making you feel worse than normal] try and sit down with your OH and have a good talk to him about how overwhelming it is to do so many hours at work and then to have to come home and do all the housework. Try to stay calm, if all else fails I definately would cut down on the housework and then see what happens, it may make him appreciate what you do, have a chat with him and see how it goes hun
Took Mum and DS out for a ride to the junk/antique shop and its not there anymore boo hoo. Visited the local CS where we were and got DD some leggings and DS a PS2 game - good CS shop but too far to go to on a regular basis.
Came home and DS wanted to go on the comp, he was playing a game and somehow managed to make the screen turn sideways!!! Had to upend the monitor to be able to use it, asked on techie board how to fix it, whilst waiting for an answer the monitor then switched off [by itself] and when I turned it back on again it wouldn't work!!!! Luckily, cos I hoard certain things, we had a spare in the garage, smaller screen but at least its working and has saved me having to buy another!!!
All other plans are so far scuppered as I now have to sort the comp desk out as I moved everything to swop monitors
Hope you are all having a good day

Last night, I'm exhausted, doing all the things he wanted me to get done, kitchen is a sty again...bins need putting out...will he help? No, has a headache. Sigh.
I was going to do the washing up but noticed that he'd left out my mixer from when he made gravy. I wrapped the cord up, dropped it then just went mental. Sat in the garden in the rain for about half an hour crying. Came in, and what's the dog done in the middle of the rug? OH nowhere in sight. Cleaned that up, cried some more. Went upstairs. He's in bed. Started on about how I can't cope etc- I do work about 45 hours a week now, but it seems I'm still expected to do all the housework while the only thing he's responsible for is cleaning out the fire grate and occasionally hoovering the living room carpet. Never mind the fact I'm also on Cambridge Diet at the moment so I don't eat, but I still cook for him otherwise I get told there's nothing to eat- admittedly, there's not much 'bung it in the oven and heat' stuff from the likes of Iceland or Farmfoods but there's meat, spices, rice, sauces, pasta, veg...not to mention all the batch cooked meals I spent all of Tuesday making for him. Now I'm so tired and I've come back into work (yay! At the moment it's pretty much the only place I'm happy) to find that I needn't have bothered to stay late writing instructions for ebay things and the like, because it's all been ignored. Sigh. But yay, I'm back in my element and now I can relax for 8 hours!
Oh no, poor you! Big hugs to you. I can totally relate. Whenever I'm doing the cleaning as I am now, I often find myself having a pity party. We deserve it! Its horrible feeling taken advantage of, and I feel like that regularly. Its like those closest to you are blind to what's going on, or not going on, around them. Wish I had their eyesight :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:Stop looking for answers....
The most you can hope for are clues.....:)0
