Phew you ladies get up to a lot!

CP - (((hugs))) I have been there and I can completely understand how you are feeling. I agree with the others keep your chin up and do your best to make him see the effect this is having on you.

JPS - Sorry to hear you are feeling ill again :(

As for me I am exhausted and going to take the night off, I think an early start in the morning will let me get back on top of most things apart from the laundry  which will take forever to get sorted again!

Kitty I'm trying not to have guilt trips over having an entire week off instead of demessying - but hey sometimes you just have to go with it and do what feels right. I wish I'd walked a few miles, well done you! Put your feet up and join me in a bit of sheer CBAing!

Dishes schmishes. They'll still be there tomorrow!

Not that I'm trying to corrupt you or anything but don't they say you should leave a few dishes in the sink when you go on holiday to make it look like someone's home? :D

see i could do that, as im only going for 5 days ... so if i piled them up neatly in the sink then maybe that would be ok??

and maybe, magically when i get back theyll be gone
(my mum will be coming over to feed the cat... maybe she would do them)

then again ... if they dont magically disapear ill have to do them when they are extra smelly next weekend :o

    hmmmmmmm ......

and also i wanted to make sausage and mash tommorow ... so i will need to wash my big saucepan .... hmmmmmmmmm decisions decisions

lets just pretend (and hope) that im going to do them tommorow

Hi again everyone! Lots of hugs to all those who need them x

I said I wasn't going to count, but I think we took down eighteen trees today...the good news is that there are only two left-one biggish one and one that's wayyyyyyy out of our league that we've been anchoring the winch to. Next door said he'd get his regular (ish) tree surgeon to drop around and give me a quote...I'm concerned how much it's going to cost, but it's only going to get worse if it's left...

So tomorrow will be about a hundred trips to the tip. Well, nine or ten at a guess. And my house is still a mess, and half term is more or less over.

But I will never, ever have to cut back, or pay somebody else to cut back those hedges ever again...

Were they leylandii Laurel? I've taken out some gigantic ones that used to be a hedge - I cut them down at Easter, and I still have some piles of brushwood to get rid of. I've kept the straight poles, to use in building rose arbours or something like that, and shredded all the other stuff to spread around at the wooded end of the garden. I still have quite a big pile of brushwood to do, but haven't got round to it, so it might have to wait till next Easter now! I totally understand what you're going through, and it sounds like you're doing a much bigger job than mine was too.
