Omg i need a lie down just reading what you lot are up to. I haven't done much the last few weeks with being ill but am slowly getting back to doing something. On the plus side i freecycled 100+ items yesterday which have all gone to nice new homes . Have also ebayed about 400 + items in the last couple of months well it gave me something to do whilst i had to sit and rest lol. Just got about another 50 or so to do asap then i've finished. I could do listings in my sleep now.
I have a utility room full of ironing to get through tomorrow plus my living room floor needs a clean and my kitchen needs a good scrub.Cross Stitch Challenge Member Number 20

Hi All,
Rummer like you my house is back to normal chaos. Gailey and aligerdie good luck with the inspections. Craftygrannywell done with your freecycling and ebay, I need to take a leaf out of your book.
I done very little today even though my DD was at nursery for 2 hours, hopefully I'll do more tomorrow.
Bed soon. Night nightI love MSE freebies and comps. Thanks posters0 -

Hi all
thanks for good wishes re my cold and best wishes and warm hugs for everyone - poorly or not.
Oh dear, I read the posts, feel so guilty, how do you all do it? God I LOATHE housework and no it isn't worth it when its done cos within minutes its dirthy again, and doing it makes me hurt and people only notice when its not done - you are all saints!
Despite being under the weather mananged my big day out yesterday and it was a great success. Woke up feeling that I had been running a marathon in my sleep - much pain and exhaustion. Twas worth it tho.
So nothing beyond the normal today as per - washing, feeding animals cooking casserole for daughter to dislike and chuck in the recycling bin, and sitting in hosp out patients for a couple of hours.
However when finished emails I WILL wash upStop looking for answers....
The most you can hope for are clues.....:)0 -
Good morning fellow messies.
Another good day yesterday; I can finally see my bedroom floor
I had a sort out of all my clothes because I had way too many and have filled 4 black bags with stuff to get rid of .... most of it will be cut in to strips and used to crochet a rug.
Had to laugh yesterday, my friend posted this on my facebook wall:
omg.....is everything ok at yours..........quite worried cos i just walked past and all your curtains were open !!!!
Yep, tis true, I never normally open my curtains
Just a note to those who have commented about how well people are doing .... normal service will resume in my house next week (normal service being that nothing gets done at all). My DD has been with her grandparents since Friday night hence why I am on a roll....... even tho she is at school most of the time I still don't get anything done .... my illness means that I find it hard to focus on more than one thing a day, when she is here my focus is on the school runs and I never get anything else done.
Going to try and get more cleaning done today. Got therapy tonight so likely not to be in the mood to do anything tomorrow morning and then off to stay with above mentioned grandparents till Saturday.
Hope you all have a fab day2012 wins approx £11,000 including 5k to spend on a holiday :j0 -
Kit I am another one who doesn't open her curtains sometimes! It depends how I'm feeling. I open the ones on the back of the house, onto the garden, but often don't open the ones at the front if I'm having a duvet day.
On the subject of duvet days...yet another day here of wishing I had the energy to do some serious decluttering and de-messying, but I am doing a bit of washing and cooking and managing to clean for basic hygeine.
I don't really have any excuses this time either - I must just be lazy  It's so good to have time to just shut down. I seem to have a psychological need for that but I sometimes wonder if it isn't a kind of downward spiral, and maybe I should be forcing myself to do things I don't feel like doing, if you know what I mean.I believe in the freedom of spinach and the right to arm bears.

Ah yes, mine at the back are always open, the front ones are pretty much always closed .... they are the bedrooms (bungalow) and I just dont think about it once I have got up!
Cant help with your decision re pushing yourself to do things .... you know what is best for you. I get told to push myself but I just can't when I am in that type of mood. Maybe give yourself a few days off, don't stress it2012 wins approx £11,000 including 5k to spend on a holiday :j0 -
Really quickly whizzing past .... house is in utter chaos as got both kids off school (they're just leaping around on the beds I made earlier), toys are flying. DH is off work as got really nasty cold and feels so bad so he's in bed reading. I should be making lunch but just popped on to say hi.
Do you know what, despite mess and chaos, I'm chilled. OK, so house looks like a bomb site but my children are happy and well fed, got clean clothes to wear and, in the big scheme of things, a messy house isn't the worst thing ever. At least that's what I'm telling myself
Hugs to all xFlymarkeeteer: £168 and counting0
