Hello messies! I have been MIA again for a while so have quite a bit of reading to do (will post again after I've read, no doubt!)
It's half term, the weather is glorious, I don't feel especially unwell but... I'm emotionally low and the chances of me doing much more than a load or two of washing today are quite slim. I have no idea why I'm emotionally low but it happens and that's *why* my home is a mess! I just don't get things done apart from basic hygeine and even that doesn't include hoovering and dusting.
My list of jobs looks like this:
Go to the tip with junk from spare room, box room and loft (anything not good enough for ebay or CS)
Tidy away papers/files/books from pgce so they're not underfoot any more
Decorate and put shelves up in the spare room
Decorate and put shelves up in the box room
Decorate and put shelves up in main bedroom
Put shelves up in the kitchen
Re-organise the "shed" to put away summer gardening stuff, put wellies etc. in reach
Clean and re-organise dining room/study
Fix the shower leak again
Clean all four giant rag rugs for upstairs rooms
Fix the fence at the bottom of the garden
I have done two major projects this year (replace leylandii hedge and gut/whitewash the kitchen) which is a huge achievement. I just need the motivation to do upstairs now! It will all be very OS and MSE, as I have no money.
I have a lot of old bedding that isn't good enough for CS but I've been keeping it all, toying with the idea of making rag rugs by crocheting cut up strips. I even have the giant crochet hook! The trouble is, I have rosy visions of me sitting doing this in a beautiful, well-decorated, clean and tidy home! :rotfl:
Well, today will be a day off. I'll potter about and not be hard on myself, then see if tomorrow is any better.I believe in the freedom of spinach and the right to arm bears.

I have given myself the day off today too ..... it seems I dont feel so guilty for not doing stuff if I have given myself a day off.
Total PJ day for me. Curled up on sofa in my all in one fleece (primarny special!) crocheting xmas present. No one else home, total silence, bliss :T2012 wins approx £11,000 including 5k to spend on a holiday :j0 -
Been to Asda with DGD, got her 2 pairs shoes (needed). Back to work Monday so prioritising how to use my last weekend off (don`t get many) for a while. Mealplans roughly sorted, shopping done, sink still full of pots (next to-do). Will spendsome time chilling with OH too, his days off now.0

Well I finally took the plunge and went in to face my DD room  it was far scarier than I thought! I have taken out two bin bags of stuff and there is a huge pile of stuff waiting to go through freecycle and to the charity shop. It has been a real family effort with the three of us and the rabbits in the room (the rabbits didn't really help
)
Now I am having a short break before I lose my inner calm:oTaking responsibility one penny at a time!0 -
