    Hi
well, I just spent the last 24 hours in bed (more or less, apart from feeding and letting out animals). Didn't think I was ill, just v v tired. But then got up today and discovered a few hours later I have a horrible sore throat, which is a bit annoying as tomorrow I am having a rare day out.
Anyway, today I have done a biggish shop, fed everyone that needed it, cooked a roast dinner (which for some reason takes me twice as long as everyone else, washed up once (soon to be twice). That'll have to do. No cleaning, AGAIN and I can't see any coming along any time soon as this week's calendar is chock a block with docs and hosp appts etc.
I have NO idea how I ever used to fit work in :o

  • hey everyone,

kitchens a mess :( cant face it, maybe ill do some of it tonight when ds is in bed

have a raging headache, was planning on doing the reduced section, but cant face going out , gonna hide indoors all day being lazy :)

i have started on some of my vacupacking, the clothes from the bedroom, ive done mine and ds tops and jumpers

Hugs and virtual hot chocolate to all the poorlies. I've had a slightly better day... haven't tackled anything upstairs yet but I have cleared another box of stuff left from kitchen declutter! I've almost got my living room back now (dusting is another story though).

Did loads of cooking today. Batch cooked the heaps of parsnips that have been living in my fridge for a couple of weeks with the carrots, made tons of carrot and parsnip mash to freeze. Slow cooked some pork steaks I got cheap from Aldi with red lentils and pearl barley. I leave it runny and pour it over crushed new potatoes (tescos value, 20p per tin) which makes two meals per ladleful when served with carrot and parsnip mash and any greens I have around.

My breadmaker is back from being on loan to my Dad who finally bought his own! I've made a fruit loaf with pumpkin seeds and walnuts and a bit of oat bran - I'm not keen on cinnamon so I use nutmeg instead. It's really nice and I can't stop eating it.

Get well vibes to all those that are ill, I hope you are feeling better soon.

After my epic clean yesterday I was exhausted and flaked out at 7pm and woke up today at lunch time :o Needless to say today I have not done a great deal although I have taken bags to the dump and charity bins so less things in the house.

I also made a start on clearing out the things we have dumped in the dining room so that we can carry on with stripping the wall paper in there, I am determined to get it done in time for xmas.

Over the next few days I may be MIA as the new bunny has eaten through the laptop charger so I will need to wait to replace it :(

Well after my total day off on Saturday I had renewed energy yesterday. From the time I got up until about 7pm I sorted and cleaned :) Downside is I still have LOADS to do and I need to step up my winter preparations cause its cold here today. Must remember to empty the loft .... insulation and cavity walls being done next week :)

    Oh help me!

I have a messy house, the kids are off school, and we have the letting agents coming tomorrow for our inspection.

I have *no* idea where to start, I have spent all weekend trying to sort out our bedroom so I could put DS2's cot bed up, and needless to say it's a bit hectic in there now.

I suspect there's that much to do, I have no idea where to start-any tips for blitzing quickly & effectively? (with 4 kiddies in tow) :o

Ahhh it's not just me then :o

I'm on my 4th laundry load today, dishwasher done, & kitchen wiped over.

Kids are just arguing instead of helping & hubby was supposed to help yesterday, but spent the day on the computer.

    It's left to me again!!

Gailey, I shall follow your lead & start with the kids rooms....wish me luck!
