My home is a mess

The plumber came-turned the boiler off and on again-and it fired up!
I was left spluttering...but...but...I did that....lots of times...
Still, it's working
I'm feeling quite pleased, because I've managed to remove another tree and chop it up-on a weeknight. Since the recycling centre is now on winter opening hours, the car is loaded with the results so I can drop them off on my way to work tomorrow.
You know, for a bunch of messies, we do get a lot doneimport this0 -
Evening Messies :j
Hello to all the new faces, lovely to have you along for the journey! I was up at 4.30am  not through choice, my body just does not seem in the mood for sleeping. I did get loads of paperwork done though and letters organised to post which I had been avoiding for ages. Slightly later I got a dishwasher load done and wiped down the surfaces before heading to work.
Not much scope for cleaning tonight though as I have loads of dull things to doTaking responsibility one penny at a time!0 -
Evening all, thanks for the kind words everyone, have been feeling a bit better today. Been drinking lots and going to the loo every five minutes so dont feel like going far from home!!! Managed to get all hubbys book-keeping up to date today though so feeling pleased about that.
Laurel, glad to hear about your boiler and you are right, surely we must be making collective progress? Well its a nice thought anyway.
I was going to make a pizza for tea and in the end I couldnt be bothered. We had chilli and jackets instead and I used up the apples a neighbour gave me in a crumble. I need to re-work Friday nights tea because the boys both do football and I go running. If they dont have tea they are starving when they come home so I need to think of some quick and easy things they can eat before they go.0 -
Hi Messies. I`m wondering if when you all don`t post here is it because your mess is less, or is it (like me) you`re just ticking over keeping up with the basics?
I`ll have a week off after tomorrow`s long shift, and right now I`m SO full of good intentions....looking at messy areas with grim determination but not time to make a list!YET!0 -

Hello
I try to message daily because I love keeping up with the chat and seeing what you have all been up tothat and it helps me to keep on track too!
This morning I got up to find that one of our house bunnies had had a wee party to herself and left carnage in her wake . Now that I have had my dinner I am trying to build myself up to dealing with it all, that is while she is flat out sleeping!Taking responsibility one penny at a time!0 -
Hi all
Its one step forward and ten steps back in my house at mo.
Today the one shelf my DH put up in the kitchen fell down, smashing a plate and bowl that my DD painted for me
It made big holes in the walls which I now need to fill before I can put it back up..... gggrrrrr, all my shelves have stayed up ... lesson learnt???
My cat, who was stolen by a lady 3 months ago, is back home (i stole it back!!) but that means I cant leave the cat flat open. This means the other cats have to be in a lot more and they are trashing everything. One of them doesnt like using a litter tray so is just using the floor. One of them likes to sleep on top of piles of junk and keeps knocking it all over. The other likes to sleep on top of the fridge freezer and keeps knocking things off trying to get up there.
On top of that I am arranging a memorial for a friend who died recently, also arranging a fundraising 'rave' for aforementioned friend's daughter and am trying to set up my own business which suddenly requires 10 times more work than it has up till now.
And i can't even drink cause of my meds.

Kit sounds as if you need to take a time out and regain your inner domestic goddess
. Any chance you can take 15-30mins out tomorrow to do something just for you? A bath, walk or call to a good friend? Then you will have renewed energy to face your home and business demands. When life gets frantically busy we need to make a little bit of the day just for us.
