Another sunny day here in MK, so going to have a me day - totally selfish but I am worth it.

DF is in France - arrived safely so now relaxed as he was driving through the night and we normally share the drive :j

DS is still in bed so house seems very quiet.

There is a wedding show in the centre so will have a pootle round there and also a look at the BHS and Debenhams wedding sections.

Also spending some time doing some wedding planning, date is tentatively set, venue is either Whipsnade Zoo, Cyprus or Italy, definite guests are DS, DD and their partners if abroad and then a party at home for everyone else. To be honest I really fancy abroad, but our brothers will not be able to go if we do that. My DB and his GF are expecting so baby will still be very young and DF DB does not have a passport and does not like travel.

Then this evening DS is out for night with his GF so night with the TV SCD, Merlin and Casualty.

Have a good day all xx
  • Rummer I got up full of a cold this am too, and it`s such a pain in the bum! On a late shift today, feel rough enough to just curl up in a corner, but not seriously justified calling in sick with `just` a cold, and knowing we`re short-staffed already. I`ve put a hearty chicken stew in the slow cooker for when I get home, but CBA doing anything else this morning.
If I survive this pm shift I`m on a long day tomorrow too. My Mess is very patient though...it`ll wait for me!

I am feeling worse as the day progresses DD has a party to go to and I am dreading having to haul myself off the couch.

Im sitting here having a coffee instead of doing the garden :o my excuse is the grass is still damp and the sun was supposed to be out but it's still cloudy here :o warm though.
I have got 2 loads of wash on the line and have sewn up 4 padded xmas trees ready to sell on my stall in Nov :D

Hope everyone has a great day whatever you do and hope those colds don't get too bad :o

Once upon a time I cleaned out the DW big time and it packed up so I decided never to tempt fate with the WM. Instead I spent my time today cleaning the K and boy did it get a clean, I sat here at the comp catching up on blogs - my reward time for doing such a good job - but wait, whats that I hear. . . water!! Gushing out from somewhere where it shouldn't. I open the cupboard under the sink and am met with a quick shower of water - flippin eck!! I turned off the WM and the gushing water stopped but under the sink looked like a swimming pool. so now the WM is in the middle of the kitchen along with all the cleaning stuff stored in said cupboard, the dog came to investigate and helped pull out loads of carrier bags stored beside the WM and kicked them everywhere.

    Nuff said about cleaning

 Hope that gets sorted out soon Helen!

I managed to do the tip runs, and attacked a bit of the garden before it got too hot. I also managed a couple of washes including the big towels.

I'm now hiding from the heat with a fan (ok, I know it's not very MSE but I suffer more from heat than I do from cold, so I'll do my saving with heating instead!)

While I've been inside, I've cooked the sausages, pressure cooked and mashed the parsnips and carrots, and made the barley risotto (which is incredibly nice).

Well luckily enough it was just the draining pipe that had come out so no repair bill or DH muttering whilst his head was stuck in the cupboard!!

All mopped up, dried and put away now
