  • Oh Helen, crossing everything for your OH too. My hubby just got a contract to do some extra work he has been wanting (he's self employed) so sending some of our good karma your way!!

Snookey, you sound so calm about your leak - I would have been having a major tantrum. Good on you!

Oh and Candygirl, you make me smile. I remember when mine were that age.

Well another busy day here, I am on a mission this week. Managed to cut the grass today and have a good weeding session. Going to take my kitchen rug outside tomorrow and give it a really good scrub. It once had a bucket of water spilled on it so I know it wont mind getting wet. Hopefully it will dry in the nice warm sunshine.

Right - better get myself off to bed. Night all.

Helen Ill say a prayer for your family and yorkshire lass Im glad things are looking up for you too. It may be catching as oh won 30.00 on a scratch card and then five hundred pound on sky bet, although I must point out that he told me after he had won as he has had a problem with gambling. Im a bit torn between being angry and glad , as I dont want a repeat of this habit. Then again thats christmas sorted for the children. Ill just have to make sure I take out the money from his account and put it in mine as soon as its there. Also I have taken charge of his card and our bills.
Iv not done a great deal today ,did some washing ,cleaned the kitchen and made rock cakes. I can make rock cakes but Im rubbish at sponge.
Going bo bo now. Take care everyone.

Snookey - glad Xmas is sorted for you, hopefully your DH won't go mad on the gambling

  • I'd get a whole lot more cleaning done if I didn't fall in from work after dark, eat whatever DD has left in the microwave, and settle down with MSE and a hot chocolate...!

    Hi All

Still struggling, but the sunshine has lifted the mood a little, I have today and tomorrow off work as lieu time and going to use the time productively.

    Jobs to achieve

    All washing up to date
    All ironing up to date

    Hoover all downstairs
    Dust all downstairs

Strip our bed, more washing , but at least no ironing for this :rotfl:

Find a window cleaner - for regular visits - given up on DF to do this
Any recommendations in the MK area welcome please?

Get some spring bulbs and autumn colour for gardener to plant tomorrow - DF goes fishing so garden gets neglected - this and a monthly pedicure are my luxury and the gardener only costs £10 per hour, about £30 per month.

Me time - bike ride round the lake, pedicure and haircut

Have a good day all and thank you for the kind thoughts

  • Hi all

Gilly - glad to see you are feeling a bit better, hope the sun stays so you continue to feel good

I'm not a Summer person, I like the other 3 seasons better especially Winter, all this heat makes me tired in the day and then I can't sleep at night!!!

    Today I have
    WM x 1
hung out 2 loads from last night
    ironed for 2 hours
    had a kip
    internet banked

DH got through all the tests and interviews yesterday and now hads to wait till the end of next week before he hears. He's not hopeful as there was another person there who had lots more experience than him but I'm still keeping my fingers crossed for him
