Thanks for the reassuring messages re DS messies - much appreciated :).

Dropped off my bin bags to the charity shop, picked up my prescription and took the dog for a walk. Treated myself as stopped at Mr T Express on the way and bought prawn mayonnaise sandwiches, an orange juice and a bag of Maltesers to eat on the walk. All was going so well right until my white Jack Russell went sprinting past me with big patches of fox poo smeared under both ears and around her collar (plus on it) and another big patch on her back. So got back and given her a shower and blow dry (which she loves) and cleaned the bathroom (on my list to do anyway today). Anyone want a Jack Russell ;)?

About to start typing work now and have a nice big Thermos cup of tea to drink - I always let it go cold so this should work out very well.

    :hello:Afternoon everyone :D

I have been very good today and cleaned right through the house, well I have not done very much for over a week :o so I thought I had better as Im at work all day tomorrow and Friday :(

mumof2 :D I love Jack Russells :D I have a jack cross Lab at the mo, he hates me leaving him and crys like a baby, even when OH is in, I got pulled into a pet shop the other day by my DD to see a Jack puppy but it was £250 DD wanted me to buy it  I would have if I had money to spare, Ive spent my wages for this month buying food and paying bills also car had to be taxed :(

Candygirl :D I remember ceebeebies well :rotfl: I used to go to bed at night singing the tunes in my head, it used to drive me nuts :rotfl:

Snookey :DI thought I was the only heartless on when it comes to kids (after 4 with huge age gaps, 31, 28, 17, nearly 11) Ive now had enough and poor DS 3, nearly age 11 I just open the car door and tell him to go :rotfl: I would let him walk but its nearly 2 miles with very busy main roads to cross. My DD is now at college and I wished DS was going to high school this yr but he has another year of junior :(

Hope everyone has a great evening and I will pop back later :D

  • Evening everyone. Managed to cut the grass today in between the rain showers and have just sorted out some paperwork. Am now pondering what to do with a bin bag full of shredded credit card statements and bills. Is it safe to take it to the recycling bank? I could burn it on the stove I suppose.

Oh CBeebies, they were the days. Better than trying to read my book while DH and kids play on the XBox any day.

Off to find DS2 some supper. He has been coming home from school saying he isnt hungry, not eating much tea, then wanting food at 7pm. Not sure how to work this one, maybe he just needs to adjust to the new daily routine but I am on the warpath about my grocery bills so he will be getting an apple and some crackers and thats it!

    Evening Messies :D

Well my Oh is still on board with the cleaning and so is my adorable DD :). I have started to relax a bit however I still have to refold the bathroom towel every time I go into the bathroom (or am walking past :rotfl:)

We are now moving on to decorating the dining room which we have been putting off. In fact we have been doing a lot of our hobbies and relaxing guilt free. Before there was never space or you knew you should be tidying instead of doing water colours or baking, now however I can have fin guilt free :D

Morning all - not posted for a while, seem to have had a CBA few weeks - other stuff like real life getting in the way!

Need to knuckle down and get into some sort of routine again now the schools are back, everything seems to have slipped, finances included - still got some bits to pay off, I know it can be done - I need another LBM I think! :D

Will debate what to do later and make a start again after work - hope everyone has a good day!

    Morning all

Another day of clearing up downstairs, got the comp moved yesterday into the K but the DR looks increasingly like a dump!!! DH is off today so I don't hold out much hope of getting stuff done - and I have a Dentist app to go to.

    Morning messies!

According to the flylady list today is the day I clean our room but I've done most of it now - vacuumed, dusted, put things away and just sorting through all the carp/bits of kids toys I found on the floor :o.

Later I need to get DS some daps for school (can't find the ones we bought him anywhere), get DD some socks and I may even get some hair dye because I noticed I've got my sparkly bits coming back again ;)! Apart from that DH has hurt his back and is shuffling around but is adamant he can go to work later on .... just hope he doesn't hurt himself more.

Have a good day everyone

You must surely come from Somerset way? We used to call them 'daps', too (I'm originally from Weston-super-Mare), and most people think I'm mad when they hear that! It's great to hear the word again - takes me back to my school days, many summers ago!
