    Whew :D :rotfl:

Well I had a productive day and actually made an apple crumble later, that's the first time I've done that since I was in my twenties (ashamed to say until I became an MSE convert I just bought made stuff). This was very MSE, using value flour and butter, apples from mum's tree and some old walnut halves to mix in the topping that really desperately needed to be used up in cooking somehow.

It was delicious, just had some after my tea. Eaten whilst still peering at the TV over the top of several boxes of clutter from the kitchen that have to be sorted so no worries, I still have my "messie" status

Since I have moaned about my OH not helping I though I should share with you what he did for me this weekend :). He came home with a bunch of flowers and some sweeties to thank me for all the hard work I had put into the house.

Then he cooked most of the meals this weekend, hoovered and helped with both the dishwasher and the laundry. I am delighted :D ,long may it continue!

  • Rummer - that was lovely of your OH and well done on all your hard work

Well today didn't quite go to plan, we went for our walk round the Lakes, it was lovely, but then the rain came so we went food shopping instead of going to the Lottie, we also planned how we are going to change the back garden and then spent the afternoon chilling and chatting until I picked the kiddies up from their Dads. We've had a lovely weekend.

Hi, do you mind if I join you please? I already know Helen Jelly from the Flylady thread last year, but I don't know the rest of you so a big  hello from me! By the way Helen, I disabled my Facebook account as I was spending waaaaay too much time on there, so that's why you haven't seen me at all.

I've been flying solo (without the Flyladies thread) and haven't been doing at all well really - I think I need the structure of a list each day. So my master plan .... wait for it .... is to use the daily list from there BUT do what I am able to from there and other bits and bobs that suit me but NOT BEAT MYSELF UP IF I DON'T DO IT (sorry to shout, but I do this!)

I need to not have too many list as I'm a bit OCD about them so don't let me get carried away will you ;)!

Lovely to 'meet you' and I look forward to getting to know you all.

    Hi Ladies

Candygirl - huge congrats on safe arrival of DGS

Mumof2 - welcome to the messies corner

Well DD had first day at school today - well first morning actually. I did manage to clean through upstairs with DS in tow. He is off the pre-school tomorrow morning and so I will be staring on my distance learning course I have signed up to over the summer - excited about this but worrying how I will juggle everything as feel I am just starting to get to grips with things now!

Cleared out my side of under the bed today. Now have 8 pairs of shoes to ebay :rotfl:
I have been through DD's wardrobe with her this pm. Sorted out a big bag of clothes to give to a friend for her little one. DD has a few more bits to try on and also need to go through the big box of bigger sized clothes I have stashed away for her so I can work out what she needs for autumn/winter. I am going shopping with her on Sat as she has NO trousers/jeans that fit her due to a massive growth spurt
Don't want to spend too much tho as Sep budget is looking a bit bleak and I am v. conscience of Christmas being only 3 more paydays away.

I must start getting organised and write a presents list as have bought nothing so far. Crikey I am stresses out about Christmas already :o

Will try to do 1/2 hour of ironing tonight as pile is creeping up fast too.

Hi Mumof2, pull up a dust bunny!

During term time, by the time I've got in and had some tea, I'm finished. I don't know how you people with families do it! I'm determined to make sure I at least do all the washing up (rather than leaving it till morning or even worse the next evening!!) - one small change to be a little bit less messy.

Hi MummyEm and jpscloud - thanks for your welcome!

I've done what I wanted to do today; this evening want to do a bit of ironing (trying to keep on top of it) and try to finish a typing job I've got on. Just had lovely dinner - tomato and lentil soup and apple crumble nom nom :).

So plan for rest of today:
    Wash up
    Kids to bed
    Typing
    Ironing
Then off to bed; hope DS doesn't wake me at 2.00 and 3.30 like he did this morning, little tinker!

Ohh Mumof2 - I was wondering what had happened to you - lovely to see you, hope you and yours are all ok, I know what you mean about Facebook - I limit myself to 1 peek a day and I try very hard not to reply to any yack going on lol. My downfall is this site - I'm hardly ever off it so never get the housework done.

Last day of summer hols and oh boy I can't wait for 9.30 tomorrow morn - sitting on my behind with a coffee and total peace. LR gets the massive clean up tomorrow cos its the pits today
