Hi LilacPixie, I've just joined today too - good luck for you tomorrow at 9.30! I bet your house isn't a cluttered tip - you should see here :o

Helen Jelly, done my LR today and I have to say it does look better now but still a few odds and ends to move around. Course DH come home and dumped his carp everywhere so that'll have to be moved to. I'll have total peace tomorrow too as DS at nursery (last day there on Wednesday sob sob) but got lots to do as ever.

As for tonight, I'm on the downhill run now as only got the ironing to do thankfully. Oh yes, and load DW and WM for early tomorrow am.

Had grim evening really as DH's Uncle has really upset me due to unkind words and my head has been spinning with it all. Wrote a letter. I won't send it but good to get my feelings out on paper. Families eh :( DH went for a 5 minute lie down at 6.15 and still asleep

    Night all!

Hello and welcome to the newbies :D

Well I am exhausted, came home from work and crashed out on the couch :o. I was woken by my OH serving dinner, that he had cooked! I then discovered he had done the dishwasher, changed the laundry and after tea he put our DD to bed :D.

It is so lovely knowing that he is getting on board with the cleaning and tidying and that he appreciates what I am doing and will pick up the slack when I am tired.

I'm back to school tomorrow, dd and ds on Wednesday.

I could do with another week to finish the post-plumbing work. And another week to decorate the kitchen, which is covered in matchpot squares and filler. And another week to...

On the plus side, we've had a huge sort out in the playroom, and there are boxes and boxes of stuff in the study that I can take into school and donate. Children's craft materials, educational games, old fashioned toys for the history cupboard, books...and tomorrow morning they will be floor space. Result :rotfl:

Just sat down with a cup of coffee - DD in school, DS at nursery and even the dog is at the vet's! Today I want to attack the kitchen but also have 2 typing jobs to do. I've made the beds, sorted washing (still have clean stuff and ironing to put away) and also need to put dinner in the slow cooker. Think I'll type a bit whilst I sip my coffee.

Hope you all have a good day and haven't got his awful rain we have here - it's really grim.

Oh and Sentora, I like some bits of winter (sitting around the wood burner in the evenings, walking through the leaves, being all cosy whilst it's cold, wet and windy outside) but I just HATE the dark evenings and ice. Brrrr, makes me shiver thinking about it!

Rummer your OH sounds very well trained! Well done him :).

MummyEm, well done on all your sorting and doing a presents list already - put me to shame (says she who wanders aimlessly around the shops 2 days before Christmas !) I MUST be more organised this year - will you help me please?!!

Helen Jelly and LilacPixie, hope you're enjoying having the house to yourselves :). Feels goooooood doesn't it!

    Right, best get on ....

Mumof2 - oh I bet mine is worse. I moved house 9 months ago, 8 month pregnant and riddled with pre eclampsia. Lots of random stuff that should of been binned before the move ended up being packen and is now shoved in every spare bit of space. It ends now.. So far i have sorted a whole bin bag of clothes for a charity shop.

    Morning all

Ahhhh can you hear the peace and quiet and the relaxed vibes coming from my home lol

Kids duly dispatched to school - in the pouring rain - yuck. Winter is my favourite time of the year along with Spring - I can't be doing with the heat [if we get some] of Summer or the dampness of Autumn!!!

I've tidied the Kitchen so thats looking presentable and I'm now re-arranging furniture in the Living Room and having a Autumn Tidy up as I go along [less to do nearer Xmas] My hoover needs a good degunk though as its stinking so I'll do it once the LR is finished. I'm sooo much more productive once kiddies are away lol. Love em to bits but boy do I let them get away with messing the place up!!!

    Have a lovely day everyone

Mumof2 - I've started Xmas shopping - about 1/4 of the way through it

    Helen x

PS Why is it that tidying up always produces a midden in the middle of the room that you have no idea what to do with the "stuff"
Projects made for craft fair - 40 :)
    1st fair on 13/4/14 :j
