Been a bit pants today really.

Both kids in childcare so did Tesco shop then came home and put all away. Then went and wrapped dd2 presents for her birthday next week. Then tried to sort out the nct and Xmas stuff that was spilling put of the wardrobes! Got another 2 months til the nct sale but at least I have my labels now so can get it all priced up!

This afternoon, I cooked a fish pie 4 dd2 and oh and made a.squash risotto 4 me and dd1 had bolognaise out the freezer. Using 2nd half if squash to make a soup later.

Weighing up doing my bursary form or making up party bags tonight...

    Morning all

Someone please kick me up the bum. Just because the kids are on holiday doesnt mean the housework is suddenly going to do itself!

Been out every day this week with them which is all very lovely but I should be using this morning to catch up on dusting, hoovering, washing and ironing etc. Just cant motivate myself!

Glad the passport was found. Two years ago my son lost his Nintendo DS. The whole house was searched, Nannas house was searched, but no DS anywhere. After lots of tears and upset my son used his birthday money to buy another.

A couple of weeks ago I emptied the drawer where we keep carrier bags - and there at the bottom was the DS. Goodness only knows how it got there and how no-one has found it before now!

OK this is no good - going off to do an hours cleaning and tidying - then dragging the kids off the XBox and into town, need to go to the library and a few bits of shopping.

Our upright Dyson Animal gave up the ghost the begining of this week. O/H took it apart and said it was the motor. To replace the entire cleaner with it's equivalent is £252.99 (thats the cheapest) to replace the motor is £38.99. So it's no contest really we have ordered a new motor but it won't be here for two weeks.

Last year I replaced the vacuum cleaner in the garage. It was originally my first cleaner but when we got the Dyson the old one was relegated and moved out into the garage. We used it for cleaning out there and vacc'ing the cars out. Finally that gave up the ghost and I bought on half price a Vax cylinder cleaner. It's a powerful little thing I have to say. That curently is being pressed into action in the house instead. It is making for harder work though :( Keeping the rest of the house clean is no problem as I just do a little bit everyday so that I am not saving up all my housework for a big blitz and making me demoralised!

I got a size bigger than the mattress - it stays put! Not too expensive as I got them in the sales in Primark! :D

Taking it easy today as I've damaged tendons/ligaments in my foot, they thought I'd fractured it at first. But the pains I've been getting in my feet (think knitting needles being pushed in your toes and balls of feet) seem to be arthritis, so I have to go to the GP to get that sorted. I've left it for a few years thinking it would go away!

Might out the towels out in a minute and strip the bed, that will make me feel like I've done something productive! :D
