    Morning all!

Dull overcast day here, no chance of doing any washing which is a shame as I have a super new clothes airer in the garden waiting to be tested!

Just about kept up to date with the cleaning, I saw on FB yesterday that A5 size blankets were urgently needed for the tiniest babies that don't survive. So I picked up some white wool on my way home and got the first one done - crochet is so quick! So I will be busy getting a few of those done - gives me an incentive to get housework done quickly so I can sit in a tidy room! :rotfl:

Hope everyone makes good progress today and has better weather than us!
    :j Almost 2 stones gone! :j

    Morning all.

Did absolutely nothing last night. Even tea was just zapped in the Microwave! :D

Tonight I'm taking DS for his swimming lessons but will hopefully tackle the ironing when I get back.

CandyGirl - We are getting a Manchester Terrier puppy. They are a rare breed and look like a small Doberman.

Hi all, been stuck in the house for the last couple of weeks. DS hasnt been well enough to go to school so that means I cant really go anywhere either. We planned a nice family day out on Sunday and it poured down so that idea went out of the window. At least its only a few more days until the holidays!

I kind of feel that because I am at home all the time I should have achieved loads and I havent really! The house isnt too bad though and a lot of the clutter has gone which is good.

Skintmonkey - I really feel for you. It sounds like you get on well with your parents and saying you cant allow your kids to stay with them until they sort the house out it is tough but I would feel like doing the same. I really do believe that you can get to the point where you cant see the dirt and mess anymore, look at those houses you see on telly sometimes. Maybe they need a bit of a kick up the bottom.

Have a great holiday Helen, we stayed at Bacton once. Great beach. Less than 3 weeks until we go - yipee!!

Oh and Snookey, glad to hear the hamster returned safe and sound. Ours got into the toilet once and was only saved from drowning because I couldnt sleep and heard the splashing!

    Morning Messies

I have a day all to myself today and the rain is pouring down so I am going to stay cuddled up in the house alternating between tidying and doing anything that takes my fancy. It will be so nice to just have a break from rushing about after other people!
Taking responsibility one penny at a time!
  • Rummer what a lovely thought. Tucked up at home.

I am off next week, and I shall be a hive of activity but until then Im treading water girls.

Im tired as was with DS at hospital during Sunday night - Monday Morning, and DD1 had a disaster which meant I was on phone to her from Tuesday night - Wednesday morning.

Going to make a real effort to do stuff tonight and the rest of the week!
    Trying to shift that debt!

Having a major CBA day today. Had a very bad night's sleep as both kiddies ended up in bed with me, DH escaped to spare bed!

Have managed to get a few bits sorted out paperwork wise so I have done a bit. DH is on phone to BT to have a moan at charges so hoping to save a few pennies in that department. I also want to look at energy prices today and decide whether or not to fix. Our current deal ends in Aug so need to look at this soon.

Did get some ironing done last night but hasn't made it into wardrobes yet. My aim is to end the day with a tidyish house as want to make the most of DD's last day at pre-school tomorrow to get the house cleaned as may be the last time that happens until post summer hols :o

6 more items sold on ebay :T 3 unsold to relist so pretty pleased

    List for today is -

    -tidy clean clothes away
    -hang washing out to dry
-finish thank you cards with DD
    -finish sister's parcel
    -wrap up latest ebay parcels
-have a play in garden with kids to get some fresh air
    -energy prices
-mealplan for week really need to do this now ...
-some ironing would be good too

Anyhow I'd better go get on with it as DD has just informed me that she's tipped her painting water out and got clean water all by herself- goodness only know what mess awaits me in the downstairs loo

Not strictly OS but I thought I should share this with you...

We needed a new WM and whilst getting that I spotted a dishwasher which I thought ohhh that will save the OH having to was up every day and will stop pots piling up in my kitchenfor 2-3 days :( (OH is not so quick on the washing up however expects food to be ready quick)

Both were delivered on the same day and we plumbed the washer in 1st with no major issues.

The DW required salt, tablets & rince ain so we went out and got them, plumbed it in and switched it on... BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP so we looked up the beeping in the troubleshooting guide and it basically said it was broke :(

After speaking to the maker they confirmked it was faulty and would have someone call us to arrange pick up. We went to Glastonbury for the festival, cme back and put it on again but it still beeped at us over and over again.

Almost a month later my OH had a friend round who commented on the DW but my OH said "yeah it just beeps at us watch" and switched it on where low and behold it worked, went through a full cycle as we didn't dare switch it off :rotfl:

Tried it on the dinner pots last night and again worked perfectly :T

I couldn't beleive something that was broke just fixed it's self I was lost for words but am now happy as my kitchen will stay pot free

Well thats my story to share :)

    Hi messies

Well spent all morning doing party food for toddler group summer party but did manage to unload and reload dishwasher, small achievements etc!

And just been up to argos to collect bargain outdoor toys and a food processor.

Dd1 now playing and dd2 asleep!

Sagaris, dd1 was a prem, 12w early and the tiny blankets Make a huge difference, some didn't make it whilst she was in so know the size of babes you're knitting for, well done you!

Might put some washing away in a minute!

That sounds like a lovely thing you're doing Sagaris :)

Well, mum helped with the hoovering at le new house while I sugar soaped the walls, and it's looking a lot better now :) (oh and smelling a lot better too!) OH has been over there all day today so quite looking forward to seeing what he's been up to. He's very good when he gets going so bought him a little pressie to show him how much I appreciate his hard work :)

We've got housemartins though....7 blimming nests! I think only two are active nests though, I could hear the birds chattering to eachother and it was quite sweet :) And we've got a ring neck dove nesting behind the sky dish. I can see it from my bedroom window and I'm quite looking forward to seeing the babies!
