My home is a mess

Just popped in to catch up on the thread. Today was meant to be cleaning day for me but most of the morning has been spent picking up DH from garage as his car had to go in. Also stopped at shops on the way back as needed to take back a cup which I bought for DS which was faulty - didn't have another in stock so will need to go back at some point
Got back, just having a cuppa and quick catch up and now feeling very lazy as everyone seems to be doing sooo much!
I am not MK based - but somewhere equally as messy!!
Need to get the whole house tidied up and hoovered today. Bathrooms also need quick wipe over. In laws will be here this weekend for 3 nights so need it a bit nicer. Also need to fit in food shopping tomorrow with both kids in tow, pack as we are away 1 night this weekend, and desperately need to get some new jeans - I am on my last pair that fit and don't have any holes or stains
I may get a mealplan and shopping list done then shop late tonight as I just can't see how it'll all get done otherwise.
Right washing is on so 20 mins to tidy kitchen before collecting DS.0 -
I need to join
My house is so messy that this morning my 6 year old DD said she would rather go and play at her friend's house than have her back to ours as the house is a "pigsty".....luckily she was smiling when she said it and I do refer to it in the same way, but the shame!!
Going on holiday tomorrow afternoon and want to do things like hoover and change all the beds so that we come back to a slightly nicer house, and need to get seriously down to some decluttering and tidying and cleaning and and and .......0 -
morning folks!
I'm another messie in MK - love it here having relocated for work 11 years ago (from Lancashire).
Reading everyone's posts hoping for inspiration as my home is a real tip. On the plus side I have motivated enough this week to give the bathroom a good clean. I've no excuse either, at the moment, as I'm not currently working so should, in theory, have plenty of time for decluttering and cleaning.

I reckon MK must stand for Messies Kingdom!!!!!;)0 -
hey the whole country is a tip, you MK lot probably just own up to it.
I am on leave next week and shall have the kids but will potter on. Got them with granny on Tuesday so I can have a right good do through then including cutting grass.
Am green with envy at the amounts being done by some people. Took me all my time last night to make a coffee! I just ran round in circles.
Target area is all round clean and a declutter of my shoes and teatowels. Then down to the other house and a good clean / declutter of old towels!
bring it on...Trying to shift that debt!0 -
I'm decluttering tons of paperwork today, having a proper sort through:D:D
Washer's also on, so will peg out in a bit, and am blitzing my floordrobe:o:o
NATLIE take it easy hun, my DD has just found out she's got a hernia, and she's due just after you.The baby is pushing her skin to it's limits:eek::eek:

OMG just read that thread. Scary!! I must admit I'm usually awake at 5.30am but by no means do I start mopping/bleaching floors! I usually stay goodbye to DH and rollover and snooze for another hour!:)
Lots of comments made me laugh but being that clean is just OTT. It did remind me to put bleach on my shopping list for this week though
I finally remembered to hang out the washing last night that had been in WM since Monday.
Off to the dentist with DS this afternoon and have a day off tomorrow so will probably catch up with the chores ( to an extent):rotfl:0 -

Hi all I ended up cleaning the kitchen and doing the laundry at 2.00 this morning. Also washed the bathroom floor and gave the bathrom a tidy. Im now paying for it as Im aching all over and its the time of the month.
At least its looking tidy today and I have less to do.
Have to clean the bird cage later and give the lr a tidy. Im going to try and take it easy today and pace myself.
Hope everyone is okay.0 -
