I have a little kitchen with no storage room? Does anyone know I'd you can buy a mop that folds up? I have to the hands and knees thing at the mo and I hate it!

HI CP I got a microfibre one from dunelm its got a telescopic pole.

    Hi Messies

I don't like the cleanliness post, it sounds like most of them are getting helps or have cleaners or just too much time. I fit my cleaning in around my life not my life around cleaning. It must also be costing them a fortune.

Well I am still here, 37 weeks and 1 day pregnant now, not long to go, haven't been sick since but feel nauseous and have swelling in my fingers.

My eldest DD has gone away with her dad & stepmum for the summer she will be back in 6 weeks although he will bring her back to visit when the baby is born. It was her b 'day yesterday so a bit of mess to sort after that.

Cleaned the car yesterday, and did 2 loads dishes, posted an ebay parcel. Weather is awesome here this weekend so will sort some laundry, got to get ebaying too before baby comes, will put camera on to charge now.

Got to pick and freeze peas from the garden today - will go and do that after brekkie

TTFN have a lovely day all

Thanks for this Shelley. I've only got as far as the first post, and don't know if I want to go any further! I'm sure, without doubt, that the ladies on there are really lovely people, but they make me feel really awful and useless. I think it would just make me too depressed to carry on reading. :(

Aww don't be daft.It made me proud to be a messy, and have a more balanced, if messy life:D:D:D;)
Anyway today i'm doing naff all really, except go looking round charity shops and for dinner with OH:D:D
He has washed up and pegged the washing out, I hoovered, dusted and sorted clothes yest, so deserve a rest today;)

I've been lurking for a while (reading instead of cleaning) but have now got to the point where i have to do something.

My home is a mess; my garden is a mess; my life is a mess.:) That was the final whinge.

I live in a really small house, which is chock full of things. All my own fault as I live alone with two cats - I try to train them to do housework but it hasn't worked so far;).

I work full time and have periodic health problems. This seems to sap my energy - but really I'm just lazy.

I love crafting, but don't seem to have done anything in months - I have loads of materials but they are buried under the mess.

I have tried flylady but I need to find the floors before I can get down to real cleaning.

The posts here are so inspiring without being intimidating so I am going to go with babysteps.

My challenge for today is to cook dinner from scratch, wash up everything including the pots and put them away and to clean the kitchen work surface - if I feel really keen I will clean the glass plate thing from the microwave.

Well, first day of the holidays.

I've bought new tiles for the kitchen...decided I couldn't afford the style I liked, then came home and while browsing the online bargain bins found my second favourites on offer with 70% off! I don't feel great about checking them out offline, then buying online, but I (a) can't afford to pay over a week's salary for five minutes of service and (b) wouldn't have spent that amount per sq m anyway. :o

If only I could do something like that with the boiler...

And I bumped into one of the mums from preschool (my daughter is 16 now, lol) with whom I always got along really well, and we're having dinner on Thursday.

But there's a pool of water in the bottom of the dishwasher...probably my darling offspring not scraping plates again...I've cleaned the filter and I'm now going to have to Read The Manual. Yes, it's that desperate. :rotfl:Any tips?
