This thread is great. I cooked my casserole (and have a couple of portions in the freezer), I've washed up and cleaned the work surface and washed the microwave thingy.
Not much you may say, but usually I would have had a ready meal and sat down with a book:j£2 Savers Club 2013 - £28

Oh dear
The manual says "Call a technician".
That sounds expensive, and would also involve washing up by hand until Monday.
So, a hot wash with a bottle of dishwasher cleaner and fingers crossed!import this0 -

Good grief i needed a lie down just reading all about what sentora did today. Stop reading the clean freak thread it's bad for your health.
Helen you're having a laugh more likely to see pigs flying than most of us abdicating to flying .lol Enjoy your hols .
On the plus side left lappy off again and did 3 hours of ironing so none left but did put washer and dryer on again so another hour or so tomorrow and it'll all be done again.
Then this afternoon i went outside and treated 10 fence posts ready for new fencing going up just 35 left to do lol. Did my new wheelbarrow planter too while oh cleaned inside the car .Cross Stitch Challenge Member Number 20

My garden looks good.
The downstairs has a weekly blitz to keep it looking decent.
The upstairs... aaaaaargh!
Three bedrooms piled high with things that need sorting. Boxes of papers to sort, a bed heaped high with clothes to sort (most don't fit me but I pretend I'll lose weight), loads of pairs of shoes that aren't good enough to give to charity but they seem too good to throw away, carrier bags full of stuff from the car or from overflowing cupboards....
Confessing my squalor is the first step to tackling it...0 -
Whew. Go Aldi dishwasher cleaner. Everything inside the dishwasher sparkly and non-stagnant again.
Pity about the rest of the kitchen...but seriously, if I'm going to be knocking tiles off the wall, why clean them???import this0 -

Hello Messies & Newbies
It's been a strange week... bought flat pack at swedish shop, only 2 pieces put up so far, OH has to put up 2 chests of drawers to acco modate everything that is strewn about the house! Had a bit of a blip on Monday in supermarket, my old school friend stayed with me until OH arrived. We ended up grabbing a bite to eat Tues eve. She offered to come and help me with the garden(a reasonable sized block paved patio) I didn't think she was serious!
DD left infants school this week, made gifts in jars of choc brownie mixture. DD got 2 awards a fantastic report and good SAT results, if only she would be less argumentative and cheeky, only to me though of course:mad:
My friend came yesterday, followed by her DS2 and hubby, we cleared front raised bed, and half of patio plus weedkillered it. They came back this am and finished off. Done 9 loads of washing all folded and waiting for new drawers to put them away. Cleared mess in kitchen and washed up. Have been to market for fruit & veg only spent £11.50
and could hardly lift the 5 bags I had! Have fed friends this eve with barbeque, it was the least we could do.
Got active families course at childrens centre this week. Hope to make dent in clutter! Have a good evening!0 -
Morning all.
Had a good weekend. Ordered some gravel for the back garden on saturday (we like low maintenance) which is being delivered later this week all we need now is a wheel barrow to move it! Think I may have a bad back by Friday!
We've had lovely weather so managed to get 4 loads of washing done & dry. Now I have a huge pile of ironing, again!!:o Went for a lovely bike ride yesterday morning with DH & DS then came back, parked bum on sofa to watch the Grand Prix. My SIL & BIL stopped for a surprise visit in the afternoon on their way home from Silverstone (they live in Edinburgh) lucky for them we were about to have Roast Beef dinner, so they left a couple of hours later fully fed & watered (thank goodness I always cook too much!!!):rotfl:0 -
Morning all - got one load in the machine and another waiting to go on the line - but about half the pile of ironing still to do from the weekend
It was a sort of CBA weekend!
Will have to get on top of things again - the place has started to get untidy again and I am not liking it. Doesn't help that we are moving offices at work, so I am surrounded by packing boxes and untidyness there, so I'm not that motivated when I get home.
I have got 7 tiny blankets ready to send off though - I was hoping to have 12 done but if I get down to it I can have those done in a couple of days. Hate letting people down though.
On the plus side, we collected our new glasses - it's amazing what a difference they've made! :rotfl: And we visited a different counrty park with the beagle, very nice, and we met another one while we were there - our one was very well behaved throughout the walk (she doesn't like being approached by over enthiusiastic dogs, especially off lead ones) so we will go there again!
Hope everyone has a good Monday - at least the sun is shining here for a change!:j Almost 2 stones gone! :j
:heart2: RIP Clio 1.9.93 - 7.4.10 :heart2:I WILL be tidy, I WILL be tidy!
