Hope everyone is having a good day so far. Those who are achieving - Well done, Go you! :T. Those who are not - It is Sunday after all, Relax!.

So then, thought I'd make my first "I've actually done something" post!
Friday was spent cleaning and tidying our bedroom. I:
    • washed the windows, inside and out.
    • cleared clutter from surfaces
    • washed net curtains
    • washed the walls! (why? I think I got a bit caught up in the moment!)
    • washed down all woodwork
    • cleared all clutter from floor
    • went through the wardrobe - charity binned 2 bags of clothes
    • went through undies drawer - hmmmm... some had seen better days!
    • pulled out all furniture to hoover, then the hoover wouldn't work (new one required!)
    • Bought new hoover at asda
    • Hoovered!
Will change bed sheets tomorrow as going away and I love coming back to a clean and fresh bed!

Saturday a friend took DD out for the day, so me and DH managed to get lots done!
    • Kitchen cleared of clutter
    • cleaned surfaces, windows
    • Kitchen table cleared
    • most of washing done AND put away!
    • Kichen floor hoovered and mopped
    • Cleaned appliance fronts
    • descaled kettle
    • cleaned dishwasher
    Then:
    • hallway cleared of clutter
    • skirting cleaned
    • removed paint splodges from heater (they've only been there 2 years!)
    • hallway floor hoovered and mopped
    • turtle tank given a good scrub out
    • dusted
    followed by:
    • lounge cleared
    • settee cushion covers washed and dried (16 in total!)
    • hoovered under the settee (to quote DH "but nobody ever sees under there!")
    • window and sill cleaned
    • dusted
    • skirtings cleaned
    • Hoovered - including a few cobwebs!
Was shattered last night, but it made such a difference not have 20month DD 'helping' and she had a fab day out anyway! I even went downstairs at 10.30 once i'd already gone to bed as I realised I could put a new load of washing on as the last one would have finished! DH sighed when I told him what I was doing...

Today will see me play battle with the bathroom, toilet, stairs and landing! Oh and I need to organise and get packed too as we're off on a little holiday on Monday! And I get to come back to a lovely clean house!

    Good luck everyone!

    Morning everyone,

Wow Sparx - am just exhausted reading that lot!!! Well done!

Yesterday turned into a good day for me. Wrote a huge list of everything that is needed to make this storage unit with optional bed into a home! That was scary and took rather a lot of coffee.

    I also managed to:

Clean and sort out my makeup box
Sort, clean and declutter six big draws
    Declutter bathroom
    Sort my bakeware storage out
    Slow roast a gammon

Today I need to do the laundry which means having to hang it up inside. And it will be tackle the kitchen day!!!

    Have a good day.

    Fizz:)

    Well done everyone!

So I've actually sorted out and caught up with my Avon stuff; it was a bit of a mountain but our bedroom is looking a lot better. The deliveries will be out tomorrow, so that gives me a good amount of space to manoeuvre in the bedroom.

OH is now washing our bedroom curtains, ready for moving day (well, the landlord's). He's also packed up his books and photos so I can hoover under the bed (the ratlets had a thing about going under there and chewing up old avon books so it looks like an explosion in a paper factory). Just got to put my big box of recycling out and I can get my teeth into tackling the rest of the bedroom.

    So the plan for today:

Take everything that belongs at Mum's back (easy, it's all in the car ready to go)
Visit my doggles at the kennels
Pack up the non-essentials in the kitchen
Get some stuff sorted for car boot/ebay at mum's

Not too much, hopefully most of it will be easy :)

Our greatest weakness lies in giving up; always try just one more time

    WOW

You're all doing really well - I'm not lol

Just been to see Harry Potter film - loved it and the sad bits are sad, as with the other films there is deviation from the book but it still works

:T Wow, messies, are you awesome or are you awesome. Haven't dropped in for a while as have been being a bit of an idle female horse.

Have got myself in gear to do a little and have freecycled a coupla things which, although not huge, were underfoot, so that's a start.

:D I'm thrilled to bits about excavating my tabletop again. It's not huge and I am going to make superhuman efforts to keep it clear so that it's ready for meals; anyone else out there using the table as a shelf and eating off a tray on their laps?!

Have got to go and read 3 days' worth of newspapers so I can recycle them.........:rotfl:

Keep up the good work, y'all.

Hamster has escaped in dd room. We think its gone under the floorboards as its an old house with a few holes where wires have been put. Hoping it comes up for food otherwise ,well I dont know if Im honest as you would have to tear the house apart.

sprinkle flour around fairly thickly around a bowl of Hamster food. then you can track it's footprints back to where it's hiding...

We did this when my cousin's gerbil escaped and found it was 'nesting' in the mattress in the spare room

hope your OH is feeling better soon.

    Afternoon all,

So the bathroom is immaculate, well - it will be until I give DD a bath in a bit anyway! But it was all scrubbed to within an inch of it's life!

Cleaned toilet - DH refuses to do it - too many germs apparently... (well you use it too!) I've tried explaining that the whole point in cleaning it and keeping it that way, meant there wouldn't be too many germs! Alas, he is still not up for it, so I did it myself. It's probably for the best, I can be very fussy about how and what to clean! DH actually told me to sit down at one point and give my OCD a rest! I'm not that bad...

Am just about to finish the hoovering and the packing is going well - everything is ironed and just needs putting in cases, easy! Can't wait for my (sorry, our) holiday. Cooked and eaten dinner. Need to reload the dishwasher. DH's sis and children came round, luckily I managed not to have a nervous breakdown when they untidied my spotless lounge! Normal service has now been resumed bar the few bits DD is playing with.

Will now get on with the packing! Must be done by 9 so i can sit with a cuppa and watch the apprentice!

Today I have been super organized :D

    • Unpacked the holiday cases and washed the holiday clothes plus the work clothes for DH this week
    • Cleaned out the guinea pigs
    • Unwrapped the pressies we bought on hols and put them away
    • Tidied up the living room
    • Dishwasher load
    • Partly tidied the dining room
Now I am going to finish off by:

    • Polishing and hoovering
    • Doing another dish washer load :o
    • More laundry
    • Finish tidying the dining room
Maybe with a bit of luck I can encourage my OH to help me take the pile of things at the bottom of the stairs up them :rotfl:

    See you all tomorrow :)
