    Morning all

Yep I'm preparing for winter - we'll be nice and cosy in the mess lol lots of curtain making going on - our bedrooms and the bathroom windows are in the roof of the house so they are all on slanted walls - does not make for an easy life I can tell ya - can't use ordinary curtains so I have to make them so that they will go on net curtain wire along the top and bottom, nearly there now just need a final push and the wire putting up - another expense!!! But it'll be worth it in the long run [I hope] cos the heating isn't going on much over winter unless kiddies are home from school. It'll put me Mum off visiting but there has to be compensations eh!! Hehe. Sorry Sagaris - that was a bit insensitive of me but I'm only joking, I hope things eventually sort themselves out for you and your DD's.

Done nowt this morning and not likely to get much done today - DD has a Sports Day today from 1pm to 3.30pm and she is only in one race so as soon as her race is done I'll come home but whats the betting its on at 3.15 Grrr

Well gotta fly [not Flylady] as I'm busy doing nothing

    Helen x

Hugs all round to those who need or want one

Sagaris Hugs. Not done Much today went shopping . Freezers are full so should not need anymore for a good while. Iv gone back to using Iceland as they are really good value for money. It came to 90.00 and I got 23 bags full of shopping. Lots of fresh meat. Fed up with Asda and Tesco.
Made the tea and tidied the kitchen . Washing on.
Made curtain for accross the machines in the kitchen. Hoping that it keeps the draughts out. Curtains coming for the doors in the kitchen but will have to add some fabric onto them as they are a bit short. Not great at sewing but suprised myself.
Iv got a sewing machine so will need to learn how to use it as hand sewing takes ages. Hart Ill be looking to you for tips and advice.
Hamster is running in his wheel. It was funny when we put him in his ball and the dog was pushing him with his nose. Hamster did not look as if he minded.
Im going to try and have a really productive weekend. Take care everyone.

Sagaris - I feel for you...it's the other way around but I don't know what I'd do without my mum, so I'm sure your daughters are thinking of you.

Helen- I never knew curtains could be so complicated!

    Sash- welcome!

So, got myself a big to do list, dinner is in the oven, my Avon deliveries are all packed up...I'm getting there, albeit vveeeeeerryyyy slowly! Working tomorrow so only going to have the evening to sort things out. Good news is my house sale should complete on Monday, so I should be able to shift the sorted through boxes to the new house, to free up some space for the stuff that isn't sorted, to become sorted! Going to have to start on the mammoth operation clearout at Mum's in earnest...I want her to have two really nice guest rooms, and that means I need to clear all of my stuff out of both rooms! I have said I'll take some time off work to do it, but in reality I already have two midweek days off a week so I should use those productively I suppose, and use my holiday for relaxing in my lovely new clutter free (hahahahahaha yeah right) house!

I need to do a car boot, just got a letter letting me know when my interest free student overdraft finishes...I had been using it like a credit card, so I need to get that paid off pronto! So hopefully, my decluttering will help to serve this purpose :)

I'm babbling, I know, I'm so sorry, feel oddly hyperactive at the moment! I persuaded OH to go out and buy me a bottle of diet coke as I was craving it, and I don't usually drink it this late so it must be the culprit! Must do something positive with this rare burst of energy :)

Have a fantastic evening everyone, and a lovely weekend!

Im still up after having to clean the floors and kitchen. I decided to go into the cellar at 11.00 to retrive my unused still boxed sewing machine. Whilst down there I decided to take my collection of Sindy furniture and houses back upstairs. Iv been meaning to do it for ages as the cellar is damp and I knew they would be damaged. Iv been putting it off,A because Im lazy and two because I was expecting them to be ruined. Eight boxes later and they are sorted. One of my houses was ruined but that was because the builders had thrown other boxes onto it and the box was open. Anyway all the rest was okay.
My excuse for collecting them was for my daughter but they were really for me as Iv not grown up,lol.
After sorting through them the kitchen and hall were filthy as the boxes had become damp and fell to bits. Hence reason Im still up. Still its one less job to do. Most if not all the rest in the cellar can go to the tip and then we can dry the cellar out. I wont be storing anything down there again. Mind you it was meant for a few weeks as we were planning on selling up and Id packed non essentials.
The hamster fell asleep on its wheel tonight and rolled off onto its back. It was lying with its little feet in the air fast asleep. If we could find the camera Id have taken a picture to show you all.
Crockpot Im sure we all know the feeling when looking at a mountain of clutter and not knowing where to start. My advice would be to get four boxes, one for rubbish, one for keeps, one for charity shop or to sell and one for cant decide. Also get a load of coat hangers so things that need hanging up can be, a washing basket for dirty clothes, a washing basket for clean clothes, thats assuming there are clothing in the clutter, Im going by my dds room the other day . Be ruthless when deciding what to keep. Iv kept things thinking they would be missed or for another day. Thats why I ended up with bags of stuff cluttering up the house and my life. Less means it takes less of your time and effort keeping it tidy and clean. Of course it wont stop me keeping things I really value but It means Iv more space for them. Hark listen to me Iv read too many decluttering books, lol.
Try to get rid of things asap or you may find you start thinking about keeping them or the kids start going through the bags. Thats my experience anyway.
Time yourself so that you do it in stages . Make sure you have a treat and a cuppa. Try to do the decluttering when your on your own as having kids around as you know will mean your doing a dozen and one things at once. Oh and your favourite music is also great to motivate you. Try some upbeat stuff.

Now Iv rabbited on and probs taught you to suck eggs Ill toddle off to bed:D.

    Hi Helen

Why don't you do it as a 5 day listing instead of a 7 day listing....that way you'll have time to post it before you go away! Just a thought :)
