Morning All,
It is floordrobe sorting for me today, I was meant to do it yesterday but just didn't feel well enough, so I will be heading upstairs shortly, and getting started. I am going to try and be ruthless, and chuck out all the stuff I have been promising myself I will slim intoThe boys are going for a haircut this afternoon, so I want it all done by then so that I can got to the CS too.
ExTrolly hugs for you, I hope today has dawned a little brighter for you. It's what is inside your head that matters in life - not what's outside your windowEvery worthwhile accomplishment, big or little, has its stages of drudgery and triumph; a beginning, a struggle and a victory. - Ghandi0 -

Hi, Can I join the tread. I struggle a lot with house work. My Mum and Dad (aged 87 and 95) are trying to sell to move 100miles to be near me. They also had a buyer pull out a the last minute. They have been trying to sell since last November and lost the sale in Feb. Very stressful at their ages.0

Sagaris - your poor mum. All that work and cost - its infuriating.
Everyone - hope you are well!
Ive been off work a couple of days with my boy, shame I didnt get anything much done apart from washing and cooking. The weather was so nice we went for walks and I watched him play with pegs in the garden, such a busy bee!
I have been tidying and decluttering DD2 bedroom, what a shambolic affair that was. Dust bunnies with teeth and a nougat bar fused to the floor. We still have a way to go, but we are getting there.
I also need to pop the hanging up ironing away, its currently living at the upstairs window. Its really not a good home for clothes.
Havent hoovered for a while, will try that again too!Trying to shift that debt!0 -
Hi
Hope everyone is well.
I have just noticed I've not posted for weeks, need to try and catch up with the posts.
I gutted the bedrooms last week so that was a good start. Then I got a new cooker which has been a total nightmare.
The last cooker that was there (since we bought the house) was just plugged in as it was a built in single oven and this new one is a double oven and needed hard wired. There was no bit in the kitchen for this so there had to be one put in and ran from the fuse box under the floor (didnt realise you could go under the house) and drilled up at the kitchen. The kitchen ceramic floor tiles which i hate as anything that slips from your hand is a gonner, had to be cut where the cooker was going so there was dust everywhere even though i tried to cover as much. Dust managed to get in drawers etc I feel I've spent days cleaning it.
Just when you think your getting somewhere with the cleaning an obstacle is thrown in your path, although I now have a very clean kitchen.

You're so right - but with a little determination and a whole load of baby steps anything is possible-
I also just noticed that I hadn't posted for ages but you lot are always in the background encouraging me to do a quick 15 min whizz round - so thanks :TMay you fill up the great clutterbucket of life and may all of your leaks be in cheese sauce
Use it up, wear it out, make it do or do without:cool:0 -
Thanks to everyone for their kind wishes for my Mum - very much appreciated! We've popped round on the way home from work, she's fine, in cleaning mode for the next viewing she has on Friday. Fingers crossed for her now! We will see which flat she ends up in - her original one went straight back on Rightmove, I have to check (just to be nosey!) when they actually put it back on - I have my suspicions they had put it back on last week! Not that it matters now anyway.
After finding out my job was safe on Monday - it now seems our jobs will be 'combined' with other local authorities - so thinking I was safe was a bit premature! We will see.
Oh well, I have the joys of defrosting the freezer to look forward to later - it needs doing but with the dog food arriving tomorrow it's sort of urgent! Not much on telly tonight anyway, and my crochet will have to take a back seat for tonight!
Hope everyone has had a good productive day, and that you all have a nice restful evening tonight!:j Almost 2 stones gone! :j

Hi all Sagaris I think that buyers who pull out at the last min should be lible for the other partys costs.Hope things work out for your mum.
Last night I ended up cleaning the kitchen, then I knocked over the mop bucket and ended up with water all over the hall and livingroom. Upside was that the floors were spotless. Also did the livingroom and bathroom.
Today I finished off the curtains for the kitchen and they look really nice. A few more jobs to do in the kitchen and its finished.
Nice to see people returning. Hope everyone is okay and hugs if your not.0 -
Well, that's it.
Course finished.

Home from the obligatory post-exam drink at the pub...and now I can see my house clearly for the first time in months.

I think I might just have to go to bed and pull the covers up over my head for a while...import this0 -

Now that did make me laugh.
Ex trolly hope things are picking up for you. My oh has had clinical depression for over 30 years now . According to him nobody but him does anything right or even at all . He hates mess but he's the one who makes it lol. He's told me loads of times i'm useless and he's leaving but i just say nothing and he's still here . Doc said it's because he thinks he's not worth having and is so afraid of being rejected he tries to get me to go.
Not got much done here as after the car boot at the weekend he's back to being mr grumpy but i have a plan. oh takes my grandaughter to school for 9 then sits doing next to nowt for ages so my 19 year old has offered to take her to school and move me the furniture around and sort all the crap before my oh gets up so fingers crossed that works.
Happy cleaning ladies . just as the rain comes my dryer breaks down but hopefully engineer will be fixing it tomorrow.Cross Stitch Challenge Member Number 20
