    Hey Messies,

I feel I've neglected posting over the past few weeks..nothing major has been going on, just lots of extra/double shifts at work and not having the time or energy to post.

I still have a messy house (who'd have it any other way) although I had a good go at vacuuming on Tuesday. I got called into work early this morning to cover a shift, but that meant I got to leave early too :j:j

Since coming home I've not done a lot, but I have used up some over ripe bananas and made banana bread which is now in the oven. I've never made it before so I'll let you know if it's a disaster or not!

Off to catch up with the rest of the thread now, catch you later!

    Hi All

    Hope everyone is ok.

My mess this week has been debt focussed - have consolidated my debt with a 10k loan at 10% apr with my bank I have closed my old accounts and cut up the cards argh! Its saving me £145 a month - handy during mat leave and it gives me a definate end to the debt! This is the first time I have been offered credit since 2004 due to bad credit history and I can't wait to pay it off.

I am shattered this week have done a full week in work been out mostly at meetings did 5 1 hour lessons today with year 8 kids on recycling was exhausting I always thought teachers were a bit dramatic about their jobs lol

Hardly any cleaning done - if any

Maybe the weekend will be better

Hi all. To those with working tax credit problems appeal. When I was on mat leave with dd they didnt pay me extra to make up the shortfall so I harrassed them until I got a nice fat cheque just in time for that Christmas. So it can be done.
Been out to pay bills today so not much done. I won books on ebay for nearly half the asking price and Im really excited. Sad as I am but they are a great add on to my collection and they are from 1870. Must stop spending as holiday in September but I had to have them. Keep telling myself that as I dont drink or smoke that I deserve them. Still feel guilty though.
Im going to finish off some more kitchen diy Friday . Take care everyone.

    Hello Messies, just checking in.

Yesterday spent most of day doing kitchen with my mum and Angela my fairy godmother. Cleaned the windowsill  it wasn't clean at all!! Told my mum of the recent events here at ExTrolly towers, she was upset for me. She said she'll do what she can to offer us support. Saw MIL today as I picked up boxes of babyclothes stored there as I was doing a nearly new table top sale at the childrens centre. She said to me in a patronizing voice ooh it will help with the space at your house(long story but we've been waiting 17 yrs for them to move out of their bungalow next to the business even though they've got another property) I said it will make OH solicitor happy, and she replied as she was turning heel and walking off I don't know anything about that, I shouted (she is deaf) you'd better ask your son! I was cross:mad:
Took £34 and made some space. Text OH and later spoke to him asked about his parents and he told me I had misinterrpted what he had said! How can you be undecided when someone says we'll get a divorce!! Anyway, thank you for your kind thoughts words of comfort and support, it's very much appreciated.

Hope to keep up the cleaning and decluttering, I am feeling empowered by it all!!

After all the news about people's house sales falling through, I almost don't want to say this but...we exchanged contracts today...completing on the 18th July so I've got a deadline for the majority of the decluttering to be done! So far, I have done the drawers in my writing desk, although need to be a bit more ruthless with what's left. I've done the main part of the wardrobe in the rented house, just leaving the shelf and the clothes I'll need for work/daily living! OH has put his videos (yes, videos, no, he won't get rid of them) in a box and we've taken down the pictures from around the living room, they're packed as is my PC. I've binned a pair of flip flops that look terrible and that I've owned for about...6 years now? And another pair that are going to be sold (I love them but I never wear them and they're a little too tight to wear comfortably :( )

Hope everyone is ok, how are you feeling ExTrolley? (ETA we posted at the same time!!)
