My home is a mess

I'm sooo tired. Just can't get going today.
Have packed DD off to preschool - only until half eleven today.
Put washing on. Packed up the two ebay parcels but cannot get motivated to do much more!
Will have another cup of tea and a play with DS in the garden whilst the washing finishes I think.
If I can end the day not having created any more mess than there is now, I will put that down as a successful day!0 -
Am not up to much today except scrubbing my rug[STRIKE]sounds painful[/STRIKE, and decluttering the window ledges ready for the dreaded glossing:eek::eek::eek:Pleased with how it looks so far tho:D:D

Day 4 - Work then sports club Committee Meeting and prepare for party
Day 5 - Drive to Walsall to look at another car, more party shopping
Day 6 - Drive to Walsall to collect car, party cooking
Day 7 - PARTY for 35 people after blitzing house in the morning and shutting doors on the messiest rooms
Day 8 - Post party tidy, cook dinner for the stay overs, collapse with feet in a bowl of warm water - how romantic :rotfl:
Day 9 - Work and more clearing up
Day 10 - That's tomorrow price up a venue for DS's 21st in 3 years time because I sure as heck am not doing this again
I feel like the house is back where it started
Oh well onwards and upwards x0 -
Well took dog to vet. Vets not sure about the reason for his coughing. Has antibiotics and if it doesnt clear in a few weeks to take him back . Said his heart was fine and he is healthy for a fifteen year old dog. Glad its not his heart and I hope the antibiotics work. He is my baby.
Iv been sewing on hearts to a pair of curtains for the kitchen. The glue I used to hem them bled through so Im having to hide the marks. Its a good job its shabby chic because my sewing skills are poor at best.
Im going to bed soon as Im knackered.
cats just brought two baby birds in. One is dead the other has a puncture wound so Iv just applied tea tree oil.Its now wrapped up in a flannel.
ill let you know in the morning how it is.0 -
A very early Good Morning Messies.
Things havee been pretty pants here! After a lovely day at the beach on Saturday and a nice visit to see my sister off from my mums early sunday morning, OH has morphed into something I don't recognise. Needless to say, by Sunday teatime the atmosphere was positively arctic. We had a long discussion and the upshot of it was he admitted he was depressed, won't see dr. Hates the house(and it's my fault) he's sick of going out and earning money and me to be sat on my backside all day swilling coffee and watching tv:rotfl:
Wouldn't even listen to the fact that I need encouragement, support, that I am trying etc etc and told me that after 20 yrs together & 16 yrs married that was it:mad:I am trying to make light of this but I'm a bit shell shocked to be honest. Spurred on by his comments and threats of getting a skip or torching everything my friend looked after DS for an hour and I came back to find OH at home. I went into garage and tackled the mountain of toys, sorting out books, etc to keep and everything that I thought DS had grown out of loaded it into the car for the charity shop. I gift aided it and was very chuffed with myself:j picked DS up went home and had phonecall from OH I mentioned I had been to charity shop and he HIT THE ROOF! He culd have done a car boot sale( I've been asking for 3 yrs) or we could have fleabayed g:jumtreed etc. Demanded I went back and retreived items including toddle truck with bricks otherwise I would be hearing from his solicitor:eek:
Contacted cs volunteer wh answered phone was v rude and told me to go u to shop in an hour when mgress was there was explaining situation to her and she said I don't knw what you want me to do I'm a volunteer and hung up:mad::mad: Went up with another car load of kitchen stuff but no mgrss. Was confronted by rude volunteer who stalked off and another lady spoke to me who was horrified at her collegue. Mgrss phoned me back when she returned and apologised. Item had been sold immediateky as was in such good nick.
Had parents eve at DD new school for look around etc. OH came with me. Kids had gone to his parents and bathed them. Picked them up returned home for OH to exit immediately apparently for work! I left the dishes and went to bed emotionaly and physically exhausted by it all. Heard him pottering around, could smell cooking and felt him get into bed. DS up and so stuck him in our bed and have come downstairs.
I am pleased though filled two car loads for CS including lots of rarely used tupperware which I get when we set up home and was so expensive at the time! I am actually looking at everything in a new light, I think for fear that if I do need to leave I've not got too much stuff. Would have loved to have ebayed, but no time, knowledge etc heard a few years ago of a comany in Londn that did it for you and took commission, wonder if it exists "oop north" does any one know?
I would like to thank you all for your hugs and thoughts and getting me through July 1st. It was so much appreciated. I like the thought of a messy support network!! Thank you so so much, it was comforting to know that I was not alone and people that I had a cyber messy relationshio with did care!
Anyway messies. I am determined to clear stuff, and do what I can. I want to stay married to him because strangley enough we used to be great together and he's my BF, but not sure how long we can continue on.
Will post later at a more civilised hour. Sun coming up, waterfowl waking up and birds singing. today will be a better day. Babysteps!0 -
Poor you ExTrolly - you really are going through it - hope things look up for you soon.
Yesterday went pretty well - my job seems to be safe! We were once a team of 5, whittled down in just over a year to our current 3 - one is retiring next year so 2 left - of course we are expected to do everything we have always done! :rotfl: Of course! No way!
Looks like mum's house move is good to go too - I'm looking at a couple of weeks so I can fit it in round work and the school holidays begin, then my sister won't be at work so can help her - we both thought that was a good plan.
Didn't get much done last night, I think the impending house move, job news and other family stuff (unpleasant) is keeping me awake at night - I was awake a 3am - poor DH!) but did crochet a little blanket for a charity I help - for babies that are born too soon, and don't survive - so I really do mean tiny, the blanket is the size of a sheet of A4 paper, and the hats would fit the wider part of a hen's egg.At least their mums and dads will see them wrapped in something nice.
Will see what today brings, at least most of the house is tidy and decluttered, and it's a nice incentive to keep it that way now! Got all the ironing out of the way at least.
Good luck fellow Messies, hope you all have a good day!:j Almost 2 stones gone! :j
:heart2: RIP Clio 1.9.93 - 7.4.10 :heart2:I WILL be tidy, I WILL be tidy!

Trolly, my thoughts are with you and I hope things sort themselves out soon, we are always here if you need to have a rant
. I know it's not sorting you probs but it helps.
Snooky, hope your little dog is feeling a bit betterI know how you feel I would be lost without mine
when he got hit by a car I would have sold my soul to pay the vet bill (he wasn't insured then
) I was luck I had some money coming from my late fathers house so we begged and brorrowed till I got it and everyone said they would not spend money on him and have him put down but he only had a fractured pelvis and gravel wounds
How is the bird ?
Im realy haveing a CBA mood just lately but I keep pushing myself as I have a huge pile of ironing to do today
Hope everyone is doing ok and i will try catch you all again laterGetting myself sorted 1 day/1thing at a timeand Love sewing

((((Hugs)))) ExTrolly. I read your post and felt I should drop a few words.
I too went through something similar a few years back with my DH. He was already seeing a Dr for his depression (brought on trhough stress at work) but slowly started making me feel useless and that everything I did was wrong, he would blow off the handle at the slightest thing. I was constantly walking on egg shells for fear of upsetting him. He admitted eventually that he was being like that to push me away because he didnt think he was worthy of having me. It took time but we are in a lot better place now and although we dont say it as often as we should we appreciate each other for being who we are.
Stay strong and just be there for him, tell him you still love him and that you want to make things work but in the end its his decision. Dont let him drag you down with him. I must admit I always found at that time having a good clear out & clean made me feel tons better. I think it made me feel in control!!
On a happy note shower tray all re-sealed and ready for action!0
