Done nothing. Nada. Zip. Did get a dress for a 50th birthday party I'm going to, but got it home to find out several of the beaded bits are hanging off...only one of my size was left so I may have to go demand some money off if some more in my size haven't materialised (I am sort of hoping I'll get the money off, I can stitch the beads back on myself...) also acquired a dining set in solid oak for the new house...to be sanded down, maybe white washed? and I'm going to re-cover the seat pads, can I use any thick fabric for this?

To be honest, this is firmly a CBA day, as I've got so much to do tomorrow, I really need to rest up :(

Craftygranny- glad to hear your DS is going well :)

Extrolley- I do hope you're feeling better, your OH sounds like my dad in a lot of respects...but hugs for you xxx

    Where did the weekend go?

Finished all the ironing and washed all 3 sets of pongy dog bedding (one upstairs, one downstairs and one in the car :D) all drying outside now - dog got washed on Friday and is just about over it!

Went to Mr T this morning and only spent about half of what I have in previous weeks, wonder what I've forgotten! All shopping put away (thanks to DH, who has also washed the car and tidied the front and back 'gardens', and taken a load of stuff to the tip.)

Just got the ironing to put away and the dog's bedding to replace - then all ready for Top Gear later on, with the M&S dine in for a tenner dinner! :D

Hope everyone else had a good weekend - work tomorrow - we will find out the latest round of 'savings' to be made (i.e. whether we sill still have jobs or not!)

Hi all, just had a read back through some of the posts. Took my son and a friend away for a couple of days camping so feel like I am a bit behind with everything thats going on. We seem to be growing in numbers and there is lots of tidying going on - I need to catch up with you all!!!

Craftygranny, hope things are OK with your son.

I think I am starting to make some progress. The kitchen certainly looks better than it has done for ages. For the past 5 years I have had tea, coffee and sugar canisters sitting on my work top. I only ever used the tea one and it took me ages to work out that if I got rid of them it would be one less thing to clean! Sold the set for £3 at the car boot sale and the tea bags now live in the cupboard. Such a small thing but real progress for me!!!

I want to do another car boot but couldnt get there today. Everything we brought back last time is sitting in a huge pile in the lounge so I really need to get rid of some more next Sunday. I plan to keep decluttering until the kids are on holiday then when they go back to school in September I can start decorating. Well thats the plan anyway.

Right, off to have a quick hoover round then get my son up for a bath. I have some paperwork to do for my husbands business tomorrow, and DS has a hospital appointment so not much housework will get done until Tuesday.

Yorkshire lass Im glad to see that your back. Its funny but it takes one little change and things start to come together. Painting the kitchen gave it a whole new lease of life and gave me the push to do other things.
Im hoping that after taking the dog to the vets Ill be ready for some more decluttering. Id love to get a skip but Iv really got to save for our holiday in August . At times like this I wish I drove so I could take things the tip.
Im going to do the dishes or they will sit there until the morning and I hate getting up to a full sink.

Well don't feel like i've made much progress this weekend . Spent all day yesterday looking after my 4 month old gs.

Today we did a car boot to get rid off the junk we found in the bedroom and the garage. We took over 200 quid so not bad but we brought quite a lot back so may do another in a few weeks .

    Trolly hope you're okay.

    Happy cleaning ladies.

    Hello Ladies

Great to see everyone has had a busy weekend de-cluttering and tidying.
We have had a very busy weekend as DD had her dancing show and Bday party. All went very well. DH and I managed to have a quick tidy up and got all washing up done etc. last night but house now needs a deep clean! DD got so many gifts, all my decluttering seems insignificant. Playroom is now most certainly back on the to-do list!

On a more positive note, I did sell 2 items on ebay. Not big money items but at least they'll be gone.

Today need to get ebay items packed up and get some washing on, not sure what else yet. I normally sit down sunday eve and write a bit of a plan of action for the week but was too late last night by the time we'd cleared up.

Oh also has a man coming to fix flat tyre on my car.

Im so tired will need some real motivation to get ahything done at all. Think it will be a fairly lazy day.

    happy tidying messies :)

Didn't do much at my home this weekend, but DH did tackle fixing the leaking shower. New (old) tiles on & re grouted just needs sealant putting on.

We ended up going to the In-Laws to check on their house as they are happily sunning themselves in France and have been since the beginning of May! DH mowed the knee high grass and I hoovered all the floors and cleaned the kitchen. Hopefully the grass wont grow too much over the next few weeks.

Will have to tackle home tonight after work. Always a mess after weekend when DH is home.
