No such luck on our freecycle lol [although I have been lucky with some bits] I bought mine second hand 6 years ago for £45 so I've had more than my moneys worth from it - need to look on the positive and think of the leccy that we'll be saving on, also need to do the washing up straight after tea and not leave it till the morning heheProjects made for craft fair - 40

The first time I listed for selling I didn't know what I was doing...until I looked on the mse forums and founds a really good step by step guide to listing on the ebay forums. Gave brilliant advice too (when's the best time to list etc).....definitely worth looking it out and following the instructions! Hope you manage to sell loads0 -
I had my first dishwasher on freecycle it was ancient and huge but it was much better than rubbish zanussi one I have now. Can you get it repaired at all? I have a fab electricals repair shop by me who have to fix my washing machine about every 6 months as that is rubbish too! it must be simple if it broke after you moved it - I remember my dad laid ours on its side once when he was working in the kitchen and it didn't work for a few days but was ok then?DMP 2021-2024: £30,668 £0 🥳

Try Shenley Domestics for a repair. He will come out and give you a quote and if you go ahead no call out fee, but £10 if you decide not to - haven't needed him for a while but has always been brilliant and reasonable price.0 -

Hi Craftygranny, no I am sure I am not your daughter either, although maybe if I was you would have kicked me into shape by now and I wouldnt be in this mess! Oh boy 54 jeans is something else - I probably had around 15 pairs when I started which is bad enough.
I went into my drawers to get a t-shirt this morning and it looks so good. Neat piles of things rather than everything stuffed in with the drawer hardly closing. I am really on a roll now and this thread has really helped me so thanks everyone.
I am actually feeling a bit grotty this morning, hope I am not coming down with something, so I am going to have a steady ironing session with the telly on. Need to take some ebay stuff to the post office and then DS has a blood test this afternoon.
As for the broken dishwasher - we had to just buy the cheapest one we could find when ours broke, hope you get something sorted. Does this mean I am officially allowed to say that I cant move my fridge freezer in case it breaks?
Have a good day everyone.0 -
Yorkshirelass - under no circumstances must you move anything at all to clean under it!!!!
Gilly1964 - thanks for the info about Shenley Domestics, DH took it apart last night and its well and truely had it, Pump and thermostat thingy are busted, its been on its last legs for a while now - getting nosier and banging and rattling about, in a way I'm quite happy as we could do with the space that its in - may put a cupboard in there or some shelves with a prety curtain in front ummm need to go look at it again to see how I can prettyfy it!!
Been to MrS today as we were seriously low on fresh bits
Must go and put shopping away now - hate doing that

Hi
I decided to haul the DW out of the kitchen and put it outside, to do this I had to pull the WM out as the waste pipe for the DW is behind the WM, did that and cleaned the floor under the WM [fingers crossed that still works!!] then I had to empty a cupboard out to get to the DW plug and the cold water pipe, got plug out ok so now you have to picture my kitchen = DW and WM in the middle of a small place, contents of a cupboard strewn around, all the carrier bags I store between the WM and the cupboard are on the floor too, so, I turn off the water pipe and manage with great difficulty to start to undo the hose clamp [picture the top half me inside a cupboard to do this] water starts gushing out, swear words start being issued, water spraying in my face and behind the cupboard whilst I struggle to do up the pipe thingy, manage to get it done up and decide that maybe I have to turn the pipe of where the WM inlet hose is, crawl into another tight space and do this, return to DW pipe, undo that and get soaked again, return to WM pipe and turn that back on as thats having no effect on the other pipe. Thoroughly fed up by now and not understanding why the pipe won't turn off I get back down and into the cupboard and play around with the pipe turner offy thingy to discover its broke, get keys for shed and go out there and get a wrench, get back under cupboard and manage to turn pipe off by turning a little nut thing a millimeter at a time, now I am able to get DW outside and start the massive mopping up operation!!! And the moral of the story is. . . . . . . . don't clean under appliances.
And thats me k-nackered for the day as it took a couple of hours to do all of that and I used 7 tea towels to keep mopping up the water that was spraying everywhere so more washing to be done now
I'm off for a coffee, despite the hassle at least I can say that I done it!!
Helen x
