My home is a mess

Ok, the plan for today is: have a quick bath, clean bathroom, nip into town (using bus ticket, not car, must not use car, must not use car..), sort my mobile contract out (£35 a month! A remnant from when I was a whole lot more flush with cash), get some toothpaste, get back, have lunch, clean kitchen, go see my beeyoutiful doggy in kennels, and sort my avon stuff out. Day two of my diet
I get so bored, then I eat when I'm bored, or just reading, then I get fatter. Flipping annoying!
Our greatest weakness lies in giving up; always try just one more time0 -

I have also pulled out the dishwasher and washed the floor there - thought it would be a big heavy move but it just slid out :T
WM x 2
TD x2
SP DR x 2
Some bits on the line and praying for no rain :rotfl:
I've scoured Fleabay for a 2 door cupboard that I want to put in the kitchen to store stuff in but there is nothing near me at a price I can pay  I'm not fussed about how it looks as I'll paint it and DH would repair any damaged bits!
Off to do something else now - like more washing

:mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad: just thought I'd get that off my chest - had one of those days where nothing went right, went to plan or worked in my favour. To cap it all came home to an e-mail telling me I have to redo a whole shedload of work because someone 'made an error'. To say I'm not impressed is putting it mildly.
First lot of eggs have arrived so will wait for second lot (hopefully tomorrow) and then put them all in together. Will be easy to separate as I've got both Buff and Lavender Orpingtons. Only bright spot in an other wise carp day. Oh and the tumble dryer is on the blink tooDoesn't help feeling tired and back playing up all the time.
Whinge over for today - will be back to my usual sunny self tomorrow. I am now off to have a large glass of wine (instead of my normal modest measure).
Hope everyone had a better day than I did, and have an even better one tomorrow.0 -
Oh soupdragon, sorry to hear about your day - can't wait for pics of the chooks though - I bet they will look lovely!
Had a migraine last night and took the magic tablet, but still leaves me feeling carp - went to work but was not at my best! Feel absolutely cream crackered now, just put away the ironing I finished last night, jacket potatoes in the oven, so that will be me for the evening.
Might get some knitting done later if I'm still awake - hope everyone had a good day!:j Almost 2 stones gone! :j
:heart2: RIP Clio 1.9.93 - 7.4.10 :heart2:I WILL be tidy, I WILL be tidy!

Evening all. Had a busy couple of days doing some voluntary work so nothing much has got done in the house. I reckon I have made just over £50 on Ebay at the moment so really pleased with that - even if I have technically lost money on clothes I have bought, hardly worn, then sold for next to nothing.
My goodness it takes some time doing the ebay selling though. I am hoping to make a bit more profit yet though so its worth it.
I was really inspired by a visit to my sister a few weeks ago. My sister has a really neat, tidy (and clean!) house. If you look in her cupboards they are all really tidy and everything is so easy to find. I was astonished that the chest of drawers in her spare room is nearly empty. Especially as she is married with a daughter and works part time!
My sister has more disposable income than me but she believes in not having loads of stuff. The things she does buy are good quality, carefully chosen and well thought out. Same with her clothes - and her daughters clothes. She actually doesnt have all that many clothes and shoes, but the things she buys are good quality, fit properly and she really likes them. She wears stuff until it is worn out then replaces it with something else.
This is so different to me. My house is full of clothes, shoes and stuff that I have bought because it was in a sale and then I found out that I didnt really like it, or it didnt fit. I used to have so many clothes I could never find anything and my bedroom was a mess. I am now trying to follow my sisters strategy, hence the big clear out on ebay.
I darent count how many pairs of jeans I had, which is ridiculous - how many pairs of jeans do you really need to own??
Well thats me, and my hopefully new streamlined life! Need to get DS into bed so better go.0 -

I'd swear blind you were my daughter only she doesn't have a sister . She went in hospital a couple of years ago so my youngest sons and i went round and tidied up for her they did the garden i did the washing and ironing . She had 54 pairs of jeans , 88 pairs of knickers not counting the ones that had matching bras , 104 t shirts and loads of other clothes ,by the time she came home from hospital everything was washed and ironed and she had no space to put them all away so had to have a clear out. She used to buy new cos she cba to do the washing and ironing. She did the same with the kids and i helpedher sort and freecycle 10 bin bags of kids clothes and 15 bags of her own. She buys stuff in the sales and months later it's hanging around unworn.
You've all been doing really well . all i did today was a big shop at 8.30 am then i've been sorting all the files out on my lappy it had so much crap on. Maybe i should say i de cluttered it. :rotfl:Cross Stitch Challenge Member Number 20

You could try asking for one on your local freecycle . Someone gave one away on mine about 3 years ago and i asked for it for my sister she'd hurt her leg in an accident and couldn't stand for long. It's still going well now. They seem to be on regularly on ours.Cross Stitch Challenge Member Number 20
