In between I managed to dye my hair and get the rest of the washing done and dried - just debating whether to get the ironing board out now while DH takes Mum back home - or just put my feet up with some knitting - decisions, decisions!

    Knitting, definitely!

I'm feeling quite pleased with myself. I did everything I said I would do, and I've just finished listing two suitcases full of clothes on ebay

OH made a token effort at unloading the dishwasher this afternoon after we'd done the grocery shopping. However, the kitchen looks like a bomb dropped, and it looks like restacking the dishwasher with all the dinner things is being left to me. Nice, considering I've been running around all day while other people have been sat on their behinds. Nothing ever changes round here.

Now to get my last load of washing in the dryer and sort the dishwasher out, then maybe I can sit down and have a rest!

I did a load of washing n put it out, started decluttering the bedroom as I had finished tidying it yesterday .... it looks messier than before I started lol, but at least it's organised mess. Managed to liberate a big box of stuff for ebay and a bag of empty shampoo bottles for freecycle or to take to nursery for the kids to play with. Mind you I am going on about decluttering and I took delivery of many bits of hardboard and chipboard as sis' neighbour was replacing the kitchen and chucking out stuff that was still in good nick (that's landlords for ya!). It's hanging round my kitchen atm lol. We keep playing musical hardboard to get anything out of the cupboards!

I'm not complaining, I'm supporting the process of continuous improvement. :p

Stepping off the property ladder for now, may climb back on later.

Good morning and welcome new messies :D

This wkend went too fast :( my DS2 and family came over Sat and I had a nice suprise when DS1 called to say he was in the area and was calling by to see me (he is a paramedic in St John's) he had to take some one to my local hospital and then take them back later so as he has not seen me for nearly a year it was great to see him :j

I have to play catch-up today as Im back to work after 6weeks off tomorrow evenning :( I have loved my evenings at home and don't want to go back but needs must :(

Have a good day today and I will pop back later :D

    Morning all

    Candygirl - loving your style

Was just walking out the door to take kiddies to school this morning - glanced at my phone, message received last night reminding me that it was dress up day [80's style] for DS - I thought it was the 30th June - there follows a panic, we rushed back up stairs, he threw off his clothes [bear in mind he wanted to go as Michael Jackson and Mum and I were going shopping later this week to get the stuff as we have nothing] he cried cos he thought we had nothing for him. in comes me and scores - he has a footie kit for the local team so he put that on and is pretending he is Kevin Keegan as he is the only footie person from the 80's I can remember and as I'm no footie fan I was quite pleased with myself. I detest dress up days with a passion. Mad panic then to get to school on time - have to drive there as its in another town and the way we have to go is VERY busy. Managed to get there without being late but its left me with a bummer of a headache and the enthusiasm I had I've left at the school gates - well it will teach me to look at the letters from school a bit more closely from now on!!!

I have washed 2 quilts this morning [DD is a bit of a bed wetter] and had a mini tidy up in the kitchen, done a bit of knitting, browsed cheap material sites [didn't realise material was so expensive] and now I'm off for caffeine and nicotine in the garden with a book

    See ya laters gators

Oh god, I need help.... I moved in with my perfectionist tidy boyfriend a few months ago, and now have this house full of my clutter, two bedrooms at my parent's house full of clutter AND we're moving to our first proper house at the start of August! I'd love to be one of those people who manages to keep their houses clean and tidy 24/7 (my sister does this, however her bedroom is an utter bombsite so I guess that's where her mess goes!)...oh, and I'm adopting a greyhound when we move too, so more stuff to find homes for!

My aim is that nothing will get out of these houses and into the new house without me deciding whether or not I really need it. So...I really must get my butt off this thread, wash up, hoover, put my washing out, do a million and one other jobs and then go see my gorgeous doggy at the kennels!

Our greatest weakness lies in giving up; always try just one more time
