My name is Jackie and I am a messie. Its been ten days since I really properly cleaned my house, and it is a hovel. I have lots on, and am feeling very stressed. My kitchen is a mess again, as is the loung, the hall, my bedroom and DS2's room. I need to cut the grass and weed the garden too. Think I will go make a cup of tea and write a list. :o

    Hi Jac :hello::D

Oh well - trying to get up some enthiusiasm for housework but failing miserably! Have done the shopping with DH today and looked in a couple of opticians - my last pair of glasses years ago cost almost £400 - not a special prescription or anything, surely there must be a cheaper way? Boots might be the way to go, we both need new glasses and sunglasses would be good too. Will have to think about it!

Been trying to get the washing done too, but it's been showery so the washing has been in, out, in, out, bit like the Hokey Cokey! Sunny again now so one load is out and another in the machine.

Our bedroom badly need vaccuuming, just got to summon up the energy to do it - it's awful BUT very tidy since my blitz on Thursday! One thing to concentrate my efforts - Mum is coming for dinner tomorrow, and I do like the place to look extra nice - will have to bear that in mind while I finish my cup of tea - and that bloody porch STILL hasn't been done!! :rotfl:

And at least since my decluttering efforts over the last couple of weeks, the kitchen and bathroom have been a pleasure to use and keep looking nice - perhaps there is something to this tidying up lark, after all! :D

I was paying around 400 quid for glasses but mine were varifocals just got a brand new designer pair from asda for less than 100 pounds and could have had sunglasses too for around the same price. My daughter has normal glasses and she got designer ones last week from asda opticians for around 65 and she's always paid around 300. She's delighted and they have a good range to choose from.

Goodness, Ex trolley, i am exhausted reading your post.

Where has today gone? took car to be mended, put MIL on train home, met friend for quick coffee, bit of shopping in home bargains (OH bought shampoo in morrisons for £2.49, the exact one in HB was 99p!!), went to view potential new school for DS. Not much tidying then. Have managed to do a bit in the bedroom and some Paperwork, but, as they say - tomorrow is another day.
I wanna be in the room where it happens

Your welcome , we're really pleased with ours even persuaded my oh to get some his were falling apart . He was shocked they were so cheap after going to what my mum would call a proper opticians for years. They were really thorough doing the eye test and spotted all the things they find at my diabetic eye test. I can't recommend them highly enough between the three of us we would have spent over £1,000 at the opticians and spent less than 300 at asda for fab designer ones.

Not much hw being done here managing to keep on top of the washing and ironing but spending lots of time going to sheffield with adam for tests before he has his op on friday. My lovely tidy kitchen now has loads of craft stuff dumped by the back wall whilst i sort it all out and move it to it's new home. Hoping to start decorating again soon.

Anyone looking for paint if you live near a b n m they have crown paint for about 6.00 a pot it's 22 quid in b n q we got some lovely kitchen and bathroom stuff for the hallway as it always needs wiping down when the grandkids have walked up and down the stairs.

Do you think it's in the genes that we all cba or is it that a lot of us seem to be ill. whatever it is i'm glad i'm not the only one affected. lol.

Hi everyone. Iv got to still take the pooch to the vet couldnt get myself together this morning. Managed to get to the bank this afternoon and then back with the outlaws.
Iv done a few loads of washing and had a quick tidy of dd bedroom. Bratze hair all over her bed again. Had to have a sleep again as Im wiped out hopefully my energy levals will come back up again. Had a go at hand sewing a padded heart for the kitchen. It looks quiet good. Suprised myself.
Will try to do some painting and rearrange the vets in the morning. Oh is going to a maths class with dd in the morning. Im rubbish at maths so he is going.
The paint I bought at B&M was 3.99 for a 2.5 litre of pink paint by Leyland and 12.00 I think for a tin of grey paint by Leyland. The pink was end of line. Hope that helps for those asking about B&m paint. Wilkinsons are also great for paint. Iv had Dulux from them at reduced prices ie 4.99 for a 2.5 litre when they are end of line.

    Morning all!

Goodluck today hart, and happy cleaning to everyone else!

I've done the last lot of ironing this morning, thought it would be nice to come home later and just put it all away - makes the place look untidy just hanging about. I've usually got it all done by Sunday night but the rain put a stop to that!

will have a quick blitz about the place when I get home, and try and get up and give the bedroom that one last super hoovering - I still have a few bits to put away up there. then hopefully an evening knitting/crocheting - we will see!

Must remember to take all the decluttering library books back too - they have well and truly served their purpose!

Hope everyone has a good, productive day. :)
