I will try and get some of the house back into some sort of order. Might even go to the big blue/yellow place overthe weekend to buy some storage cupboards and boxes....:eek::eek:

Lovely day here in Cheshire today, shame it was spoilt by customers, suppliers and work generally....:(:(:(
OH is gone to by Lottery ticket, so fingers crossed... it might be me.... :rotfl:

Otherwise nothing much going on here. :o

Iv been out today. Dropped a couple of forms off ,saw my uncle, . Went shopping and to a park which had once been a church and graveyard. The grave stones had been used as paving and a monument. It sounds macarb but looked really nice. The church was bombed in the war and destroyed so they built the park.
Must finish the painting of the chairs in the kitchen and clean the house. Why does the house get into a tip in just a few days.
Glad to see more people joining. We may even be the biggest forum on here soon.

Hart - hope that bad head goes and stays away

Snookey - love the sound of the park - bet it looks really good

I have cleared the floor in our room, hoovered it and then got down on my hands and knees and wet wiped the rug to get all the dog hairs off - knew there was a good reason to keep the Marigolds!! - got loads of bloomin hair off and then hoovered it again. I also sorted out all the filing piles that were laying around and I am up to date with it - go me!!!

Tomorrow I want to sort out the wardrobe and chest of drawers - they are a bit like the Tardis - bigger on the inside, they must be cos alot seems to fit in them

    Hi Ladies

Can I join you, please? I have been trying to keep on top of my housework for years and years, and even though I have been retired from full time work for a year now, the house is still a tip. There are reasons - family illness mainly and bereavement in the last three months, but this is not an excuse. I am a messy beggar - my OH is not, and I feel guilty for letting everything get on top of me.

The lady who posted the link to the Messies website is a gem :A! I immediately signed up for the daily email and follow it as much as I can. It is an inspiration! Like many of you, I get very stressed when visitors are due and do a quick "shove it in a cupboard/under the bed..." etc, but this is no way to live, and - without being morbid - I don't want to leave my mess behind for family members to clear up if I die suddenly!

So thanks to budding Blonde for starting this thread, and hope I can become one of you!

Away to do a wee tidy before I go to bed.

    Dee

Hello and welcome to all the new messies and just wanted to say remember baby steps all the way.

Well i did wm x 1 and dryer by 1 did big shop by persuading my 19 year olds to trolley push for me then they put it all way for me. Fingers still stiff and very sore but managed to put together a nest of tables with help from my oh. He's been ill last few days bless him.
Made a little bit of space in garage as i sold my old mobility scooter on ebay on sunday and it was collected today. My lovely fil treated me to a sparkly new one a few weeks ago.

Tomorrow i am going to get the boys the drag half my craft stash to the lounge or the kitchen and have a really good sort out i must have loads i never use so i'm determined to get rid. I have a room full so it may be a long job but it is well overdue.

Hope everyone has a productive day today. go messies go.

    Good Morning Messies!

Welcome to the newbies, you'll fit right in here!! Hart hope your headache has lifted. So many of you seem to be very productive, you're shaming me into it!! I said I was going to clear the other half of the kitchen the other day, well unfortunately that didn't happen. I'm quite pleased actually as the water and central heating boiler packed in and BG sent 2 engineers who have patched her up at 21 she's an old inefficient lady. They've left dust, grit and flue grime all over the worksurfaces. Glad I hadn't cleaned it earlier;):D

Stayed in travelodge on Sunday eve. Not a successful mission. Had earplugs in and still could hear drunken women screaming and screeching!! Didn't realise there was so much night life on a Sunday. Was home on the bus before 8 in the morning!

DD has a training day today, so we arranged her for to have a cinema bday party as she is 7 on Saturday. Most people have declined due to chilminders etc so now we're taking 9 inc DD. Got a fab deal at local Odeon, party gifts of promo film stuff thrown if free and we've got the multiplex to ourselves!! I'm looking forward to it Kung Fu Panda 2 should be amusing!! DS in nursery am and DD BFF mum picking him up. Will clean kitchen this pm!

Have a good day everyone. Remember babysteps! Where have some of the original messies gone? We miss you if you're lurking!
