Crafty granny Ill say a little prayer for your son but Im sure things will go okay anyway. Esther glad to see your back remember baby steps.
Im still up as I dont feel tierd yet and I hate laying there willling the sandman to come, lol.
Found that dd hhad cut a chunk out of one of the cats fur. Oh has also cut some as it had gum in it. Poor cat looks like its got the mange and its hairs fallen out. Dd said she hadnt cropped the cat when asked.
Iv done the dishes and top of cooker and the bin bags are out. Less to do in the morning.
We have two crows in the park oppisite and they scream about three in the morning. They love to sit on our window sill which means the noise is deafining. Keep thinking the cats are stalking them but they are usually asleep on our bed.
Oh said he is going to paint the front room with our son. I wish he would finish the bathroom first as shelves need to go up. He said he is a bodger and I agree.
    Take care everyone.

Crafty Granny hope all goes well with the operation - it's a worrying time but you will have all of us keeping our fingers crossed (even if they are encased in rubber gloves!)

Up at the usual time today to make the most of the day, tea to drink then shower and binbags, here I come! Should get quite a few filled if I get as far as our bedroom, living room to finish first.

Have a good day fellow Messies! :D

Crafty Granny - thinking of you today

well my week went from Ok to awful by yesterday ( its TOTM and yesterday left me unable to do anything)

feeling more positive today, have got the DW on, porridge ready to cook, kids lunches made.

just going to do what i can when i can today.

BTW if there are so many of us with messy homes how come I've never seen one, every house i've ever been to are spotless (except one which is a good friend but hers has got better)

Hopefully when I get home later OH who is not the most useful house husband might have done the dishes - if not: Tonights list
    Do dishes
    Make tea
Hoover annoying cobweb in lounge - saw it two days ago and forgot about it until last night
Clean top of cooker - spilled spanish chicken sauce on it because pan was too small
    Wipe worktops
Sort out upstairs recycling - bathroom is full of toilet roll middles and empty bottles
    Sort out fridge
    Put stuff on Ebay

  • Crafty Granny, thinking of you today, and hi to all. My house has descended into midden and as there is no time to sort it today it will most like remain descended.

Todays urgents are : do the 2 loads of washing and peg out / put on airer (saves money tumbling)
find clean nets so friday afternoon window can be done!
DD2 can wipe and hoover for her pound.
Did all the ironing and we put it away and the upstairs needs a decent hoover mop sort for a couple of hours then will be passable, (not the kids rooms though, they are impassable!)

love to all and good luck, at the school tonight and my car is still broken so its a bus job with a buggy. takes ayyges too!
    Trying to shift that debt!

after an initial downpour on the school run, the sun is shining. I won't risk putting the washing out yet though, it looks like it might tip down again.

My house at the moment isn't s bad as it could be. I have a mountin of clean washing to fold and put away though :( best left for late... The bathroom needs a good clean, ds1 doesn't always manage to wee into the toilet in the mornings, it always seems to take him a while to wake up properly.

My car is up and running again now, I'm £50 poorer but it could have been much worse. Jobs for today: place advert in local shop for housing swap, vacuum in my room and kids room, clean bathroom and sort out washing. Jobs to delegate: ask OH to put me another washing line up outside back door. Ask ds1 to pick his dirty clothes up his bedroom floor.

    Morning all

Crafty - good luck wishes for your son today
Ester - hope you had a nice holiday - nice to see you back
Snookey - my DD used to cut her own hair - it was a nightmare - one morning I woke up to find she had cut her fringe down to her scapl!!!!! She used to hide the hair she had cut. It took a visit to the hairdresser who explained that only a hairdresser could cut her hair to make her stop doing it, thankfully she has grown out of that stage [but only just] she's 11
    KT - well done

So far today I have managed the school run and I am now photographing lots of clothes that need to go on Fleabay this weekend - all clothes that belong to someone else so not much chance of me getting mine on Grrrrrrrrr
