Didn't get much done yesterday other than maitaining the kitchen and bathroom - but it's still looking good, unthinkable a few weeks ago! I did read a bit more of a decluttering book though, I know now that most of my problems stem from not letting go of stuff - and with it a lot of carp from my past! Not fair to my lovely DH to keep so much stuff that reminds me of events/people I'd rather not be reminded of - so out it goes.

Governor's meeting tonight so I won't get anything done later - but I'm off tomorrow so I have high hopes for a few more binbags outside by tomorrow night! :D

    Good luck fellow Messies!

    Welcome new messies :D

my headache woke me up this morning but now going again :o
I suffer from tense shoulders due to my evening job (5 nights of hoovering a play center for an hour) but since being off it has not been bothering me till last few mornings, I think Im panicing about going back next week :(

Anyway enough about my old age pains :rotfl:

I am going to get all the clothes my friend gave me to sell on ebay photographed today so I can start to make a dent in the bin bags :rotfl:

I am going to play it by ear and see if I can get a little house work done today, must clean the top of my cooker :o

Hope everyone has a nice steady day :D
I will pop in later :D
Getting myself sorted 1 day/1thing at a time :) and Love sewing :)

  • What a lovely welcome to have. Im at work at the moment, (on a teleconference which isnt the most informative or inspiring) and am taking a moment to look on MSE. Was at work yesterday but I emptied the ironing cupboard and did three loads of washing. DD2 did some hoovering and wiping around (its not perfect but it would tide us over) took kids to the shop for a rake in the cheap reduced meat section for a mid evening break, did 4 loads of washing and listed a mega bundle on ebay. Had my tea - then bath and bedtime for DS, then slept for an hour before he was back up with his teeth (argh) so slept in a chair (more snoozed) and got up at 6 to get ready for work and do more washing and pegging out and whatnot. I am going to tidy the bedroom as its a bit ad hoc organisationally, and put the ironing away tonight. then will take it easy and just list ebay while being on sofa (am so tired!) - tomorrow night we are at DD2 new school to purchase uniform, so that will be a late shift. Will ask DD2 to run the hoover over again after school, now she knows where it lives and pop another load of washing in before im in from work. Argh have no time!!! took a half day on friday and OH has asked me to go and pick a delivery up for him!!
    Trying to shift that debt!

    Hi
I am on lunch in work - my next job should be to tidy my desk - which is much worse than the house - groan

Hopefully when I get home later OH who is not the most useful house husband might have done the dishes - if not:

    Tonights list

    Do dishes
    Make tea
Hoover annoying cobweb in lounge - saw it two days ago and forgot about it until last night
Clean top of cooker - spilled spanish chicken sauce on it because pan was too small
    Wipe worktops
Sort out upstairs recycling - bathroom is full of toilet roll middles and empty bottles
    Sort out fridge
    Put stuff on Ebay

    Afternoon

Welcome and Hi to the new people

I have pulled out all the non clothing bits from the wardrobe [covered the bed with all the stuff] and have pulled out some clothes for ebay or the charity shop [free listing this weekend on Ebay]

Now I have to summon up the gumption to put the stuff in its proper place - thats the hard bit. I have also got to empty my chest of drawers as the bits in there breed too

I've been to BnM today and got some bits and also new uniform for DS from Matalan

    Off to tackle my list

    See ya laters gators

Hi, can I join in too?

I lost my job a month ago and really having CBA time about everything, from finding a job to trying to sort the house.

The house is soooo cluttered and disorganised and trying to make a dent is getting tough. Yesterday I managed to stack the plates and dishes in piles ready to put in the dishwasher.... they are still on the side today.

I want to do lots of crafty making (cards, cross-stitch and sewing) but I just don't have the space to get things out, I need to re-arrange the living room to stop people legging up over the computer plugs and cables, but first I need to fully tidy it and I need to make a garden gate to stop theives stealing my planters (one had some onions I was growing:().

I look at all the work I need to do round the house, the money I have to do all of these things and the energy I don't have and I get really down. So I'm trying to focus on getting a few things done. Today I'm going to put a load of dishwashing on and hang out (or tumble depending on how dry it is) a load of washing.

    Cheers for listening.

Hello Messies and welcome new messies.

I've come back after being distracted by the new arrival for a week.:smileyhea:happyhear

I need a kick up the bum, the ironing mountain is HUGE. DH has been wonderful doing loads but I need to get back into sorting this place out. I have decided I really want to start working for myself again and not go back to work, but this place needs sorting first.

It was nice to read and catch up with you all. Keep up the good work.
